We met at The Wild Rose for a business dinner--6 of us. All commented afterwards on what a nice evening we had dining and catching up. We had appetizers (scallops and cheese plate) and a variety of entrees. All were delicious.
Excellent service and food. Best service I have had in a long time. Thanks Ryan you were great!
Our server was excellant and the food was superb. Location is great as it is located in the Jordan District just down from the movie theatre.
My husband & I have been dining here for years and it is our favorite place in the South Valley. Friendly and well-trained staff. The owner always visits our table. Complimentary bread w/ roasted red pepper butter is so good. Delicious salad choices & entrees. My favorite is the Tenderloin. The side vegetable presentation is always prepared so that they leave you wanting even more veggies. Crème Brule is a must for dessert but they are all delicious. Coffee is wonderful. Wine list is quality. They also offer one dinner special and a cocktail special. Well worth a visit.
Nice place, great location
This is my favorite restaurant in Salt Lake Valley. I can't say enough good things about The Wild Rose.
The menu is way overdue for an update.
It doesnt matter if I dine in or take food to go, it is always wonderful!! In an area surrounded by chain restaurants it is great to find an amazing local spot.
Service a little slow family came after us and received their food before us
I guess I should have done more research. I was so disappointed that there were no gluten free or dairy free options on the menu. We were not given the specials but overheard them being provided to other tables around us. Also missed out on the special touches like pepper for our salads. We do not get to eat out often and maybe should have spent our money somewhere else. Food was great, however still disappointed in the overall experience.
Having never been there I didn’t know what to expect. With that being said, it was beyond amazing. I can’t wait to go back. The service was on point. He and the food was indescribably impressive!!
Delicious food and a delightful dining room. Amazing service. Love coming here it's always yummy I absolutely love their salads. And the beef tenderloin is amazing
Special occasion pricing, cafe atmosphere. Good food. Good service. It feels like you're in a warehouse... noise echo!
We love this place. Great food and great value compared to the chain options in the area
This is a true Slat Lake dining experience not a place to eat in a hurry. Living in Europe we've become accustom to dinner taking 2-3 hours which we prefer when we are out on a date. The Wild Rose did not disappoint in that aspect. My wife had the sirloin and I had the lamb; she said hers was a bit too sweet but good and my lamb was neutral. We would dine at this restaurant if there weren't so many other great places in Salt Lake.
Dinner and service were phenomenal! The ambience is perfection and excited to come back! Highly recommend!
Steaks were great but lamb was awful. Yukon potatoes were old & hard. Desserts were disapponting
I love the Wild Rose for a first date! The food and wine are amazing and it's just the right size
This place does try hard, but should not serve steak. A half inch ribeye cannot be cooked anyway be well done, and the price is way off the mark...too high....ordered Medium rare, got well done. They did adjust the bill to accommodate for the poorly cooked steak . Salads are excellent..stay away from the ribeye...it's a joke.
I brought my wife here for our 7th anniversary. The staff was great and the food is amazing!
Always great food and service. We have been going to Wild Rose since it has opened and It has always been a great time.
It was good.
Excellent in everything
Although the food was pricy, ther include the tax in the tip and they Cherge 20%
Great dining experience
Great, quality food. We came to The Wild Rose, because we love Hoof & Vine, Tiburon, & Epic - all 4 restaurants are worth experiencing!
We were going out to celebrate my wife''s birthday and there was a convention going on in salt lake city so all the good downtown restaurants were booked solid. What seemed to be our loss was actually our gain. There were many positive and a fair number of negative reviews for this restaurant, so I was skeptical about keeping our reservation but I applaud those who rated this restaurant highly and frankly I am at a loss for why anyone would rate the Wild Rose as anything below great. Between all members of our party, we had the beef tenderloin, the rack of lamb, the swordfish and halibut. All dishes, plus the accompanying vegetables were delicious and prepared to perfection. Desserts were fabulous as well. Nate was a good-natured and attentive waiter and we left full and very satisfied. Please do yourself a favor and eat here; you will not regret it.
Halibut was only edible. I expected a high end meal to be exceptional. Wife got the pasta special of the day. She loves pasta. It was not quite edible. The salad was excellent. Bread and specialty spread was pretty good. Service was barely fair -- especially after mentioning the food wasn't acceptable. No one tried to make anything right. No manager -- nothing. We will not go back for any reason.
We loved your sauce for the beef tenderloin! The house salad was a perfect blend of nitty flavors & the tangy balsamic. My husband loves the dressing on the chopped salad.
Service was pretty good. Ordered Swordfish and Ribeye. Swordfish was very good but Ribeye was below average. As always their homemade spread is excellent. With a couple of drinks the bill was about 115 which is a little high.
It was our anniversary and everything was great. Great tasting food and good atmosphere.
The Wild Rose is a wonderful dining experience set inside The District. The food was delicious and service was spot-on! We lack good restaurants here in the south end of the valley, but The Wild Rose is a definite exception. We will definitely be back!
Excellent food and Excellent Service. This was the first time I went to The Wild Rose, I took my son for his 19th Birthday and everything was perfect.
We went for our anniversary dinner with a TravelZoo/Groupon on a Monday night. The restaurant was very quiet, and there were only a few other tables in use.
The meal was delicious -- we loved the warm bread and the sweet balsamic honey were highlights. As was the homade vanilla ice cream with berries. And the server was really good to us.
This is pricey -- if we did not have a coupon it would have been $102 for a shared appetizer, the salads, bread, sorbet, mains, and a shared dessert.
It had been a while since we ate at The Wild Rose, and we were pleased to see that the quality has been maintained. Everything we ate was excellent. We were there for a special wine dinner, so we had several courses. Valerie is still doing a great job!
Great staff, nice presentation of entrees. Little things to upgrade ambiance, iron table cloth, quicker cleanup of tables after groups leave. Very laid back attitude.
The food was really good and the portions the right size. The cheese platter appetizer was good. Will definitely return for another meal.
We came in for coffee and dessert, and it was excellent. I would especially recommend the French press coffee.
Service and food were good. Some of their sauces and spreads are very good.
We love this place.
