The Wild Rose
I’ve been to The Wild Rose several times in the past but not in at least a year. Having nice memories of the place, I was looking forward to a night of fine dining on the west side! Unfortunately the night was disappointing. I don’t want to sound overly critical so I’ll start by saying that the beef tenderloin was excellent! But that was about it. Service was friendly enough but slow. The wine I ordered tasted “off” and came in a glass with a sticky stem. The house salad which used to be so good was wilted and tasteless. We didn’t bother ordering dessert. Sadly I’ll have to travel east to Tiburon or Hoof & Vine to stay in this family of restaurants as I probably won’t be returning here.
Really special place. The food was delicious, exquisite flavors (for true foodies). Romantic ambience, great servers and the owner pays attention to detail. Thank you Wild Rose!
My daughters birthday
The service was definitely not up to what the prices are at this restaurant. There was a large party there and we had to wait at least 20 minutes for our salads and then again for our dinner. The waitress apologized for the salad delay, but not for the dinner delay. That being said, my biggest issue was with the ambiance. I went into this experience hoping I had found a replacement for the New Yorker, but the atmosphere here is quite cold. It was quiet, but cold. Just tables in a room in a strip mall.
Big party next to us was very loud. They needed to be in a different room all to themselves.
My second time coming here and it’s still my favorite! Food is incredible, service is wonderful, very quiet romantic atmosphere. Highly recommend to anyone!
It's a strange location IMHO. The food and the service were very good, extremely good. Very delicious. The atmosphere was not as good as the food and the service, but sufficient.
We love The Wild Rose. We go here for dinner all the time. The owner Valerie is a wonderful person and the staff is amazing. Specifically Laura!
Our server, Mason, was excellent! Very attentive and friendly. The entrees did take a long time to arrive and the Rib-eyes were fatty and chewy. The King Salmon special was outstanding as well as the beef tenderloins!! They were like butter! The scallops were truly delicious as well. Overall, we had a great experience and we will be back.
My Husband and I have eaten at The Wild Rose several times now. Each time is always incredible. My favorite dish is the Ribeye, but my Husband always enjoys the rack of lamb. The Wild Rose never disappoints!
Dinner was amazing and Laura our server was the best ever. Would highly recommend this Restraunt.
Even with a reservation we had to wait almost a full hour. People coming after u
Our favorite restaurant! Always wonderful food and incredible service.
Enjoyed the first time we ate here, as the restaurant has a really nice atmosphere and first time the food was good. Went back for New Year's and had a server who didn't seem to want to serve us.
For the price paid we expected better. Could be a great restaurant as the ambiance is great, but service was disappointing both times.
Everything was top notch.. The food was amazing, the service was the best..
Great place for couples in love! The food is excellent, service outstanding, and the ambience, with live guitar music was enjoyable. The final bill was a little higher than I expected: entree, drinks, appetizers, desserts... they make an impression too on the final bill.
This Restaurant is across town for us but worth traveling to. You will quickly find the food is a clear step up in quality and tasting to 99% of other restaurants in the Salt Lake Valley. The price is a bit more expensive but you are paying for a good quality cook and dining experience. If you have a hot date and want to make a good impression with a little extra money to spend to do so. It is a sure good choice.
This is my favorite restaurant. The food is always perfect. I eat my vegetables first. Service is great. We feel like special customers every time we go back.
Great restaurant with exceptional food, great servers, and a great owner!
Most things went well on our visit. The staff was very polite and respectful. The meal proceeded at a nice pace. The salads were tasty and crisp. The portion of Mahi-Mahi was a bit small, but cooked nicely. The pork chop was dry and overcooked. The deserts were very nice, especially the creme brule. We left feeling satisfied, but not wowed. It's a nice place.
Great experience. Food was perfect with great service. Just don’t plan to go there for a quick dinner and a movie. Takes about 1:45 to do it correctly but well worth every minute. Our mistake thinking we could rush through it to make a movie after. Decided to grab dessert instead and recommend the crème brûlée with Chambord.
Wild Rose is our special occasion place. We have always had exceptional food and service. They never disappoint.
Everything was excellent except the price. The price shown on open table was 25-30% below the menu price.
Great food and very good service. A little steep on price. We will try it again.
Our waiter was nice but slow.
Our salads and entrees were very slow in coming out.
The restaurant was not busy, but the service was slow!
Food is always superb! I appreciate when you have specials through my email that make it more affordable. We’ve enjoyed the food here for years, thank you!
Our favorite place to eat, the food is awesome and the service is always wonderful.
The service was amazing!!! And the food is always good we love the Wild rose and came to celebrate a birthday love this place! And all the staff are amazing
We have only been to the Wild Rose twice, but both times we have been so impressed with the food and the service. It has quickly become one of our favorite spots.
Laura was wonderful! We hadn’t been to the Wild Rose for a minute, but Laura remembered us right away. She really made our evening. We truly enjoyed our dinner and evening!
Wonderful service. We celebrated our anniversary and were treated like aristocrats. The evening was delightful.
Overall, the food was really good, the waiter was nice and checked on us. We had the best seating in the restaurant (in my opinion). The only negative is lack of appropriate lighting. It is so dark you need a flashlight to read the menu!
Older white waitress was very pretentious and annoying, would not go again just because of her terrible attitude. Found an Ant in our water which my girlfriend found extremely bothering. Although absolute Props to the chef for Amazinggggggg food, please find cheerful waitresses and i would totally consider going again. Again the Food was perfect!!
My husband and I went on a week night to celebrate my birthday. The restaurant was pretty empty since it was almost 8pm but the food and service were excellent. It was a pleasant surprise. We didn’t know what to expect from a store front location. The interior was warm with white table cloth service. They even served homemade sorbet as a palette cleanser in between courses. I loved the house special halibut and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his pork chop. We are looking forward to returning again.
This must be South Jordan’s best kept secret!!! Outstanding in every respect. I had one of the BEST rib eye steak dinner I’ve ever had.
Ambiance, service, value.......Just FANTASTIC!!! Ill be returning next time I’m in town
We always enjoy the Wild Rose. We had Rack of Lamb and Halibut. Excellent. Thank you for making it an enjoyable evening.
Food and Service was great, like always!! The live music was a nice touch. Love it.
It’s our favorite place to go when we are craving beef tenderloin! The food is always delicious and the service is perfect!
