Food tasted amazing, we tried dine out and other happy hour items. Oysters were not cleaned properly even after complaining about it.
The server was great in the beginning, she was very friendly. As soon as it got busy, she was struggling to keep up. I had to wait 45 mins for my dessert which I then decided to take it to go. I had to ask for the bill twice. There was no social distancing. We had two couples on each side beside us.

Turkey chowder was:
- too salty
- turkey bits too dry and was hard to chew
10oz Ribeye was:
Overdone - requested medium rare. Meat came rather thin for a 10oz and was overdone. Server Jennifer was gracious a 2nd took it back to the kitchen. She came back and remarked that the chef insisted that was indeed done right, but they'll replace it with another piece of meat but done more rare.
As if we don't know our beef cut and how we like it made!!
- replacement piece came ok. Nice and juicy but this time they over salted, maybe out of spite or to just in an attempt to make it taste better. Oh well..
- server Jennifer more than made up for the evening's dining experience at this restaurant by being highly responsive and also a delight to talk to

Went for news years eve dinner..what a great experience..thanks to manager Gill...we were seated at the back and after noting our displeasure he got us a table near the band and ensured personally we were well looked after...i saw him doing that with other guests too all night...staff were excellent and we loved it..

I attended the Wild Fig for New Year’s. Prior to attending the restaurant, I was contacted by the front desk to change the reservation time twice. Once we arrived at the restaurant, there was confusion among the staff which resulted in us standing in the middle of the restaurant waiting for 10 minutes to be seated. Eventually, we sat down and ordered around 6:40. However, we did not receive our food until 8:00, despite the restaurant being relatively empty. The entire staff was wearing their mask improperly below the nose, which made me uncomfortable. The food was pleasant enough but not for the price listed. In essence, I will not be excited to return nor recommend to my friends and family.

We celebrated my mother’s 80th birthday here and it was perfect. She really loved the decor and food. The waiter, Stephen was super entertaining.

The presentation of the birthday cake fountain sparkler and happy birthday staff serenade was a nice touch and my mother really enjoyed it.

Originally her birthday was scheduled at a catered event with 50 of her friends and family but was cancelled due to the new PHO, without informing the restaurant of our previous planned event, the staff at the Wild Fig did an exceptional job without knowing the circumstances.

I highly recommend the Wild Fig.

I had a reservation around 7pm and there was no one inside which was really nice cause it was super quiet. I do feel that the music could’ve been quieter and maybe holiday themed since it’s around Christmas but anywho. Our server was Steven and he was really nice. The service was really fast. There was always a server to give us related refills and our main server was really attentive and efficient. Throughout the night, only 2 other tables were sat so we all got a real peaceful experience. My family had gone here before and so this was my first time and I will definitely be going back soon.

Went to the Wildfig for appetizers and drinks. The food was great. We ordered the buttermilk friend chicken and flank steak. Both were very tasty and with a side of fries and dessert was a nice meal. Drinks were also good. Nice cocktails and some good wines by the glass. Service was friendly. Will go back soon.

If you are looking for happy hour deals then is is the best place....such a great ambience and service and beer for $3.50 and great happy hour food deals.....surprising not many people know about it...its just opened again after covid....new management and certainly there is a big difference in standards......

Fine dining is nowhere to find in Coquitlam so many thanks to The Wild Fig. I loved every minute of it. The service is impeccable and warm hearted. The bar is simply beautiful. To start, me and my wife, both big James Bond fan, ordered two Vesper martini which turned out to be glorious and the ultimate beginning of what I like to call a class A evening ..A bit later, hungry, we asked to be seated. I ordered a ribeye steak and I was right to do so … wow! ..beautiful! My wife, a food connoisseur, ordered the lamb shank witch turned out to be a succulent revelation and an eventual next choice for my next visit here. In the end, this place is far from anything else I’ve experienced when it comes to good food, good martinis( finally) and good service…thx, I will be back.

We haven't been here since prior to COVID restrictions, and were pleasantly surprised that the dishes are equal to those of the past. The salads were excellent, salmon entree was also excellent, and butter chicken was good.

Our waiter Stephan was attentive and friendly throughout the meal.

We recently had a dinner date, then found this lounge cozy & relaxing. The manager / server were friendly & hospitable. The live musicians & magician were entertaining. The food & drinks were good for the price & place. We were satisfied & happy.

Unfortunately this is no longer the brunch that impresses. We invited out of town guests based on our past experiences from a few years ago. At $37 this brunch is shockingly overpriced. The food is mediocre and none of it appeared to be made in-house (weird for a hotel). It is still a large brunch spread over a large area and chopped up but there is no signage or guidance to tell you where to find the breakfast, lunch or dessert items. None of the covered food items have signs telling you what is inside. You have to lift up each cover and look. Silly. There are staff but they don't speak. We were almost the first guests in the restaurant and yet they were out of coffee. One person got half a cup and the rest of none for at least 15 minutes. We were not offered water or tea. He just walked away. One of the cups leaked and made a huge mess which was not cleaned by the server. He just took the cup away while we cleaned up. I think at that price the service should be excellent like it used to be. Less but better food would be much appreciated. Little signs beside each food would be appreciated and staff that offers help in finding where the food is located would help. Either that or shut this brunch down.

There were eight of us celebrating my birthday, the restaurant looked and sounded good on line. One couple had eaten there before and said it was good. The restaurant was not full and it took about 30 minutes before we received our drinks. Our server was pleasant but not attentive enough and made lots of excuses for the lateness of everything. It also took more than 30 minutes to receive 7 of our meals, my husband’s meal took another 20 minutes! Portions we were small and the food was just okay, thank goodness for the great musician we got to listen to while all the waiting. A few drinks were taken off our bills but not my husband’s meal. Very disappointing dinner experience to say the least.

This place can be so much better than it is. Was here for valentines, and I had come earlier to drop off flowers to be at my table for dinner. When we arrived with my partner for our reso, the server seating us says “the table with the flowers right?” I just shook my head, my partner standing right there, the surprise ruined.

Staff seamed overwhelmed or understaffed. We Waited 30-40min before we were even asked for a drink.

My wife’s main course came out cold (set menu) was a little surprised, and the server was going to take my plate as well, I said wait mines fine.

Mid way through I asked about the intermediate course before the main that was missed, and she reached to take our mains again, we wernt even done eating. I think she was going to take them away, bring the intermediate course, and bring back the mains after? I have no clue. I said just bring it out after this.

With a late reso at 9pm and knowing there was a live band I called ahead to ensure the band would still be playing during our dinner. I was told on the phone they will be on until 11pm. At about 930pm the band says thanks, and that’s it.

Just a disappointing night. Management really needs to review staff training or have more of a presence. Website is garbage for information.

The restaurant staff very graciously accommodated us, even though they didn't seem to have received the reservation that we placed through Open Table. That lack of communication was a bit disappointing, and would have been very concerning if the restaurant had been too busy to take us.
We've always enjoyed The Wild Fig and will return.

Our waiter was great but he could only apologize so many times before it just got annoying. Wasn’t his fault but we waited an hour and a half before we got any food. We weren’t the only ones either, some man marched back to the kitchen to give them some choice words .

It was a frustrating and disappointing evening. I had been told it was good so we thought we try it. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Upon arrival our Open Table reservation for 6 people was non existent! However we were seated, the restaurant decor is like a 1970’s nightmare. From the time of placing our order to the arrival of our starters took a whopping 2 hours. Four of the 6 starter arrived and we had to beg for the remaining 2. Mains arrived 40 minutes later and were stone cold and inedible. After complaining to the managers the food was compted with a gracious apology from the manager with no real explanation for the awful experience. The highlight of the evening was the timely arrival of hot coffee. Enough said, we will obviously not be returning and strongly not recommending this restaurant!

Birthday celebration ...
Waited more than 10 minutes for anyone to acknowledge we were waiting for a table which was odd.
Once seated the wait staff were attentive and charming.

For the price of the food it was terrible.
We will never return or suggest this place to eat.
Our steaks were so small OMG the vegies were terrible.
Had to go to the bar to get more drinks as the server was never around.
There was 4 people in the restaurant.
I can spend $184 some where else thats for sure.

The noise level is low - what a great relief from the Cactus Club mega-din the night before. And we hit the daily special just right - Prime Rib for both of us - perfect. Really appreciated & enjoyed the birthday dessert presented to my wife - & she shared it with me !! Service was friendly & attentive - well done !!

Nice setting. Enjoyed having live combo and dance floor. Food was pretty good.
The service was what really put a damper on our evening. We waited quite a while to get our order as there seemed to be only one person racing from table to table doing all the work. When Sarah finally got to our table she was very pleasant and when she served our food she had gotten everything just right. So despite the wait, we were off to a good start in spending our anniversary dinner at the Wild Fig.
More customers had been arriving and Sarah was moving at warp speed, with orders being taken and served. We finished eating our main course with no one approaching us to see if we would like anything else and then sat with our dirty plates, etc. around us for half an hour or more.
There was an older lady and a young man who popped in and out from time to time, seating people, etc. but most of their time seemed to be spent looking around and discussing what to do.
We finally got up and asked them if someone could clean our table but the older lady said she didn’t work in that section. We complained and she turned and left without a word, later appearing with a trolley, and cleared two plates from a nearby large table and started to leave. We literally ran after her, plate in hand and she reluctantly took it. While we tried to ask about clearing our table, she sped off and never returned.
We ended up clearing our own table and stacking things on a display table at the entrance.
We had a few more dances and still no one came by or picked up the dishes
We are still astounded!
