   Such a warm welcome.Staff were so kind and friendly. We had delicious light supper and wonderful Craster Kippers for breakfast.

   Lovely, food, comfortable ambience & very pleasant service. We had an incident with a spilled drink which was sorted out very efficiently

   Lovely place, staff very friendly. Six of us had various meals including 4 sunday lunches - 1 beef, 1 lamb, 2 pork plus a nut roast and a sea bass. All were absolutely delicious, generous portions and all the veg were perfectly cooked. Only downside - forgot to ask how the chef cooked the carrots!😁 Can recommend the cocktails too!

   Very friendly welcome and good quality service with attention to allergies etc. Choice very good and the food itself was well cooked and presented.

   Overall this was a pleasant experience with food of a very good standard for a public house. It’s expensive though and is probably best reserved for a special occasion. Service was very good and other than one blip with a missing starter which was resolved, very impressive.

   Delightful stay . Lovely quirky room (8) and immaculate throughout. Staff extremely professional and pleasant. Delicious evening meal and breakfast. Would definitely return when in the area again. Highly recommend .

    A really relaxing Sunday dinner and fish n chips for a family celebration. We had a couple of kids with us and had a table that was ideal - not close to others so we weren’t disturbing them and with booth seating that meant the kids were happy. Food was excellent, service spot on, lovely decor and log fires (although sadly not on as it had been 20C outside the day before!). Nice nut roast for veggies (and another option) and the Sunday dinners all came with a lovely veg selection and Yorkshire puddings (including veggie YPs, which some places don’t give you). Good, reasonably priced wine list. Top marks all round.
