    Execellent food and service. Huge portions so everyone was well fed!! Including the kids. Lovely atmosphere and they were very accommodating. Great experience and would love to be back.

    Nice ambience and although a little wait for food it was worth the wait. All main courses very tasty. Service was friendly and efficient. Choice of drinks was excellent - unusual sparkling wine and good to see they have gluten free choices too.

    We had such a nice dinner at Whittling House. We arrived 45 minutes early on a busy evening and we were warmly welcomed and could be seated straight away. The food exceeded our expectations with generous portions. All was served promptly. Service really was warm, friendly and efficient. Could not have asked for more. The service was what the standout for us.

    Very good meal - enjoyed the Monkfish wrapped in Parma ham on a bed of risotto. Wine was a little pricey, but overall experience was really positive with brilliant service. The restaurant and bar lay-out is a collection of smaller rooms and alcoves, slightly quirky but creates a lovely ambience. We stayed overnight and so can vouch for the cooked breakfast aswell, which was the best I'd had for a very long time !

    Visited a few times. Sunday roast quality excellent, but on this occasion the food was not hot, just warm. Service excellent. We will return!

    We had a lovely family meal in the restaurant on a Saturday evening. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food was delicious - very good quality and well presented.
