The White Swan Public House
Had dinner and drinks here before we saw a concert on the Virginia V. It was great....dinner was very tasty, drinks were on point and service was very attentive. Will definitely be back.
Great find. This was our first visit and we will be back, most likely in the summer when you can sit outside and take in the views of lake union. Fresh oysters were tasty, and we shared 3 main courses and a dessert - the dessert was amazing, all three main courses were tasty but not outstanding. Service was good, low key place with nice ambiance.
The server was super great with recommendations, especially when we bombarded him with a dairy allergy (I know... I know). The roasted olives are tasty (HOT on arrival... Watch out!!!) & we would definitely recommend the Charred Octopus. I'm not sure how we were unaware of this spot as it is ON THE LAKE and does have quite a bit of outdoor seating & 4 slips available. (Seasonal obviously). Mezcal beverages were well balanced and packed a punch. (Delayed punch... FYI) I say you give it a whirl next time you're in the Lake Union vicinity.
Great food but since 5 if us were sharing multiple dishes, we didn’t always have appropriate plates untenable. A minor quibble.
We really enjoyed the Seattle Restaurant Week menu. I loved the wine pairings option — something I would normally never try due to the price, but this made it affordable. We look forward to coming back again.
One of the best places we've been to during our weeks stay in Seattle.
We actually found ourselves going there two nights in a row since we enjoyed it so much the first time. they specialise in seafoods and cool cocktails.
The location, the ambience, the staff, food and drinks, everything was absolutely wonderful. highly recommended
Best brussel sprouts we’ve ever had by far! Definitely worth the visit.
We’ve been here before, but decided to come during Seattle Restaurant Week. Our table was ready and waiting early so we were able to order from the happy hour menu to start. We enjoyed a dozen oysters, always high quality here. They were Amethyst and Tanaka. I had the Brussels sprouts, but they were heavy and over dressed for my taste with big croutons. The Pork Confit was fantastic with southern flavors and something we wouldn’t have thought to order here. Also had the clams, which were light and tasty. I never order dessert but since it comes with SRW I got the Mocha Pot de Creme, which was amazing!! Highly recommend White Swan.
This place was a gem! I am sorry I missed happy hour because the raw oyster deal looked great. They had a nice selection of oysters from the raw bar. The cocktail I had was perfect. For dinner, I had the steamed clams and fried Brussel sprouts and both were flavorful and more than enough for one person. I would definitely return next time I’m in town.
We had a drink at the bar before dinner, very attentive and professional bartenders! Once seated by a very nice and interactive manager/host our waiter took over. He was perfect, timing was on, information about the menu was timely and informative, he was funny but not over bearing, we had a flawless dinner! A misfire of their yummy Brussel Sprouts were offered to our table complimentary and of course we said yes! The food was amazing! They have it figured out at White Swan! Thank you for the yummy, fun and amazing experience! Bonus, We had a to go box that we almost left and they ran it out to us! Good thing since we had planned to take the lobster Mac & cheese to some friends!
Our server was very informative and the food was excellent!
We had a great birthday dinner with oysters, shrimp and fish and chips. We actually decided to go early for happy hour. Reasonable prices a good bloody mary and attentive staff. The parking machine was out of paper so we had to put a handwritten note in the car. The parking lot is independently owned, but is the most convenient place to park.
The food here was very good. The baked octopus was very tasty. Just wished their kimchi fried rice was more spicier. The pie with ice cream was delicious. Their miso soup was also good. Fresh oysters at $1 during happy hour was a treat. Service was prompt and friendly. Will come here again.
The White Swan had a great eclectic menu that wasn’t too expensive and a very cool ambience. Would also be great on a nice day outside as it’s right on the water of Lake Union. Can’t stop thinking about the smoked oyster and chicken liver mousse. So good!
I love bringing people here for dinner or when hosting a happy hour. Amazing PNW cuisin and the oysters are always fresh!
Patrick was the BEST waiter i have ever had. We all hugged him after!
Creative eclectic menu tastefully done. Very reasonable prices.
Great food and great service. The atmosphere was great and the menu was just the right size. Desserts were amazing.
Really enjoyed dinner at the White Swan. Had the octopus, which was delicious. Recommend!
Second visit this time indoors. Wonderful food, relaxed but attentive service. We plan on making this a regular go-to for comfortable wonderful dining
The food, service, and beverages were top notch! The Manowar is my new favorite drink.
We were there on a rainy evening, so sitting outside was not an option. It was a very lively place. very satisfied with our dinner. We happened to be there on an evening when there was an oyster tasting going on. A couple of people in the group took advantage of that perk.
Great setting. Casual pub on the shore of Lake Union. Great food and good service.
Fantastic experience! The cocktails, chosen by the server, were top notch. We had the brussel sprouts (not to be missed!!), seafood poutine (amazing), and the black cod (homerun). Innovative and unique food without a hint of pretentiousness. We will be back soon!!
This was my first time to The White Swan Public House. A hidden gem would be my best explanation! The food was unique and fantastic! Great flavors and everything was cooked perfectly! Our waiter was knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly!
My wife and daughter and I dined here last Friday. Our waiter was knowledgeable and attentive. Cocktails were delightful. Oysters were briny, cold and plump. Very satisfying overall. Thanks!
We enjoyed several starters between the group- all were amazing! Do not miss enjoying the Brussel Sprouts.
Very busy the night we were there and our waiter was stretched. Did not put a damper on the night-
Great food and ambiance! Amazing view of the skyline. We ordered a few shareable plates (Brussels sprouts are out of this world!)
TINY portion sizes. $30 for three scallops and a few carrots :(
Had a wonderful dinner here with my daughter. Food was delicious, great drinks and amazing fresh plum pie for dessert! Nice view of the water.
As awesome as expected, great service, great seasonal menu, back again next week
We did not have a good experience. The service was terrible, the menu was limited and very pricey for the serving sizes. The full bar did not have onions and couldn't make a gimlet. I had to go the bar to order drinks, the service was that bad.
The food and drinks at White Swan are always amazing and nearly everyone working there is accommodating, attentive and great. On this visit, however, our waiter was snarky, inattentive, and nearly rude on a few occasions...right up until he was ready to hand over the bill, at which point he was Prince Charming for the first time all evening.
We've eaten here several times, always outstanding food and drinks. This night was our best meal yet, green salad w/fried oysters, side of fresh tomatoes, burrata and zucchini special(should put this on the menu permanently!), and the new salmon entree, yum. All great dishes and a really nice combo for a fine meal.
Food is good. I think it has gotten a little less awesome than when it was new but still very good. Server was super friendly and I love the location
Great for happy hour with coworkers and even better for romantic date nights
It was awesome ! Food was delicious ! The Brussels sprouts were a tad too salty for me but we were impressed with everything!!! We will be back !!
Thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to White Swan. The fried brussel sprouts and curry sausage were outstanding. We'd like to try everything on the menu eventually. We sat inside, I only wish the seating was a little more comfortable.
Came here with a friend who was in town from Texas. We were greeted by the owner Dan as we were shown to our table, it was obvious the wait staff was working hard to keep up with the crowd on a beautiful Summer evening and the initial greeting was a warm one. I am glad we had reservations.
I was a little nervous about how tight the seating was but the smell was pretty amazing and the food I saw coming out looked fantastic.
We ordered pretty much 2 of every one of the fresh oysters on the list which obviously changes daily. The oysters were all fantastic, extremely fresh and had a very well described tasting comment so you know what to expect.
The wine selection seemed a little bit limited but what was on the list were all excellent selections. I know my wine very well and was happy to see that the staff here knew what they have and a limited selection ensures they can offer suggestions if you need them. I knew what I wanted and the selection was not overly marked up.
The food selection also seemed limited at first but when you see how fast they bring dishes out I can understand why they do this. Complicated menus are a killer for a kitchen!
We ordered the Steamed clams, Baked Octopus and each got the Scallops.
In all we were very happy with our dinner experience and while we were very casual and relaxed I could see this place being fantastic for a date or anniversary. We enjoyed the dinner very much.
I would post more (check my review on Yelp) but the number of words are limited on this site.
The White Swan Public House was recommended to us by a local. It has a lovely, pierside location on Lake Union, close-enough to the hub of Seattle but sufficiently removed from the bustle of Pike Place Market. White Swan is perfect for casual dining with both indoor and al fresco options. The menu is inventive, marrying traditions with innovations without being self important. We would gladly dine there again.
