Birthday dinner - delicious appys
We had a nice outdoor seating arrangement with views of the lake and good service. I had the crab mac and cheese and my husband had the seafood stew. We shared a beet salad. All of the food was really good, but maybe slightly over priced. You're paying for the great location, so for us, that wasn't a big deal. We went on a Sunday night so City parking was free; otherwise, parking is per hour with the City spots or more at the private adjacent spaces. Recommended for food and ambiance!
The white swan public house was wonderful! Charming location, right on the water and the best oysters I have had in ages, highly recommend!
Chairs and stools not very comfortable but food and service was good.
Nice selection of local seafood.
Our server was incredible. Suggested but did not sway us in any one direction and let us make the final decision. Food service was quick. The oyster selection... amazing! Hush puppies... perfect balance of corn and crab. Drink selection is solid. Entrees of Crab Mac & Cheese for her and Seared Scallops for me. Crab Mac was super... pretty rich so go easy!! The scallops were cooked perfectly and the taste combinations on the plate were excellent. The portion for the price on the scallops was a tad high but I’m not sorry I got them 😋 Outdoor seating is a must at this restaurant! Enjoy the Seattle summer everyone!
The oysters were as amazing the view! I will be back!
Can’t beat the lake view and good food! Their apps are delicious and cocktails are great. Don’t miss out.
The patio is great. Our server was absolutely fantastic!
As always, nice slightly innovative menu made with care. Very unusual and very pleasant setting. However, the service was outstanding and better than I’ve had at some of the fanciest restaurants. Highly recommend a visit.
Great time! Good food and drinks!!
Very good food and drinks- I particularly loved the Empress of Roses cocktail.
Subpar compared to other times I’ve been. When we arrived multiple staff kept telling us to stand in different spots outside but nobody seem to want to check us in. After 10 minutes of standing around we finally went inside to talk to the manager and he implied we had been doing the wrong thing the whole time.
Once we were seated it felt like our server just wanted to barge in rather than give us 5 seconds to finish the conversation. Their time seemed more important than our experience. Lastly my first drink was subpar; it was just a Manhattan but pretty bad. Too many bitters and almost no whiskey.
Loved the fresh oysters, lovely atmosphere and kind servers.
This was a great place. The wind kicked up a lot but the sunset, oysters, and scallops were more than worth it.
Went for brunch on a Sunday. I had the shrimp and grits and my friend had the hash with winter vegetables and sausage. Both dishes were delicious! The staff was great and the pub did a great job with COVID protocols.
Always enjoy coming here. Delicious food, great service & such a beautiful setting.
Waiter was awesome, both patient and very helpful. Food and cocktails were also great
Good food great service
I highly recommend the Poutine by the Sea and their chowder!!!
When booking our reservation, we were presented with the option to choose between indoor and outdoor seating. I opted to book a much earlier time slot than I typically would to secure outdoor seating, as only indoor seating was available at the other times listed. When we arrived, we were seated at an indoor table and were told that an outdoor table would be an hour+ wait. It was incredibly disappointing to have intentionally reserved a table outside over 24 hours in advance to take advantage of the nice weather, only to find out that our reservation had not been honored.
Simply excellent "authentic" Seattle seafood with out feeling like one of the chain/tourist traps on the water front.
Our waitress wasn't very friendly and barely spoke to us. Food was good but seemed a little overpriced. Overall we had a nice time, but probably wouldn't come back.
Although I've had a great dinner experience here, I was very disappointed in the brunch. We sat on the patio under the tent, but by the plastic wall that was rolled up. The server only brought forks and napkins, no knives. He brought my mimosa but forgot my coffee. My veggie hash came cold and dry. The french toast was thin and soggy. I gave the benefit of the doubt - it could have been an off day, however, when the hail storm began and we were being pelted with hail from the side and rain was falling onto our food and drinks, no one came out right away to assist, so we took the matter into our own hands and unrolled the plastic wall of the tent. The wind blew and finally staff came to assist. They rolled the wall back up and asked if we'd simply like to move tables. Then we were chastised for touching the tent. No apologies for the delayed assistance, no offers to bring us new food/drink since ours were soaked with rain water. I can understand the hesitancy to interact with customers during the pandemic, however, this made me feel like they didn't want our business.
Great food, great drink, great prices, and lovely location. Note that you have to pay for parking. Make sure to bring a sweater, even though we are inside, the windows and doors were open letting a very chilly March breeze in. But other than that, it was wonderful. Will definitely return.
Everything about this place was fantastic! The outdoor seating was warm and delightful and the food/drinks were so good!
Delicious seafood, good wine, beautiful views of lake Union and spacious tables outside. Great night out!
Only complaint is the forced outside dining because of Gov Inslee is very cold this time of year because they will not shut the dining tent wall facing the water. Very cold wind comes off the water at night. Ourselves and 2 others tables asked and the staff said no it is a inconvenience to them.
Their COVID set-up is as low risk as possible.
One of our appetizers was undercooked. And then the replacement was undercooked as well. Also the fish in the fish and chips was over-brined/salted.
I’ve eaten here several times before and I think it was just an off night.
Best oysters! Very fresh. Bloody Mary’s were great too, garnishes for the win!
We had a great time! Our server was very kind and attentive. She answered all of our questions and she had fun with us. The food was great! Oysters top notch. Overall it was so fun and I’d definitely recommend.
During these trying times it is great to find a local spot the takes care of you. They set up outside heaters in a safe setting while keeping the views of boating along South Lake Union intact.
Food choices were great. We had just some fine oysters and calamari!
Service friendly and attentive.
Waiter was very friendly! Made the overall experience great
Great service, very friendly. Look forward to more indoor service!
Oysters were outstanding, great wine list. There was only one server so service was slow and we didn’t order more oysters only because no one came back around in a timely manner. Great spot and we will definitely be back.
Food was fair. The apple pie desert thing came half burnt and the other half of the crust was uncooked. Waiter seemed super stoned or just out of it in general. The plastic tenting blocks most of the view so don’t count on having a view.
It was a friends birthday, and they really did their best to accommodate for a safe but great get together. We had a great experience, with awesome food and top notch service. The white swan definitely has some new fans.
Very good cocktails and food was good. Service was really great and so was the ambiance. Definitely would return many times! It is a bit unsettling to book an outdoor table and get there only to have no outdoor tables available so you have to sit inside which was not the most comfortable for us during these times - we specifically picked this place to sit outdoors and because we had the ability to book an outdoor table. I would suggest they look into this. Other than that, GREAT place.
In the summer, I love the outdoor seating here and the larger menu - as well as the fun, themed cocktail names. This last trip was relatively disappointing. Menu was very limited with very few more affordable options, we ended up with a $200 bill for a table of four for mediocre entrees, and there were a few mistakes from the waitstaff side in terms of wrong items etc - but no adjustments to the final bill to reflect that :/ Overall, I would still recommend White Swan and probably will go back, but just need to adjust expectations regarding price (not somewhere to go and expect a casual meal or drink) and service.
Valentine's Day 2021 was a snow day and we were very thankful that the staff was able to make it in for those that wanted to get out also! Thank you White Swan!
Our first and favorite spot every time we visit Seattle. Love the vibe, the food, the craft cocktails, and friendly staff. Perfect local eatery. Going for our second time tonight during our 3 night stay. Probably should have made it 3 of 3. These people know what their doing. 😋
