The White Swan Public House
Very comfortable and fun environment. Looks out to Lake Union. Would like to return in daylight to enjoy the view. Food and service were wonderful.
Fabulous friendly service and great food at reasonable prices in casual setting
Signature dish disappointing. Sand in oysters. Not certain about 4 star rating. Likely best in summer.
We love the white swan! The food and drinks are good and the location is amazing! You can’t beat it in the summer with it being right on the water!
Went early and late with a Christmas Cruise in between. Attentive staff - top notch oyster selection. Octopus and chowder were highlights!
It was great. A nice overall dinner and the setting was great!
They accommodated a party of 6 without difficulty, and it was great to have a table a bit removed from the general seating. The food was OK; we had clams that were dry, they only had one variety of oysters (they were good, however), the halibut, skirt steak and crab mac & cheese were good, not great. Our waiter was very attentive and responsive. It would be a fabulous view if the weather had been good enough to sit outside.
Great octopus and halibut!
I requested a note for a friend's birthday, and they delivered - quite nicely if I may add. Very decorous staff and lovely atmosphere.
Very nice and laid-back. We sat outside and watched the sea planes take-off. Food and cocktails were excellent!
Had a wonderful meal, with great service.
Delicious food, super attentive staff and the most amazing cobbler for dessert! We had never been before but we for sure will be coming back!
I really love this place and have had great experiences in the past, but overall the food was a huge disappointment compared to what I’ve come to expect from White Swan. Service was really busy and perhaps slightly overwhelmed, which lengthened our stay quite a bit. I’d come back for ambiance and oysters, but I won’t regard this place the same as I once did and will be looking elsewhere for the fish and chips fix.
Amazing food, service, location and atmosphere
Loved the patio seating, oysters were super delish, and the wait staff were very welcoming to my pups. :-)
It was so awesome that my mom and I are planning on going back tomorrow! The Mac n cheese was delicious but I could barely taste my crab so I'd save my money and not add the crab if I were to order it again. I plan on trying something new next time bc I'm sure the rest of the menu is just as awesome!
Lovely outdoor setting,
I went there because it was written up somewhere for having great fish. Since it was at the marina I assumed it would blow me away. Unfortunately I was underwhelmed—I think my expectations were too high. It was good but not all that memorable. I had the Halibut sandwich but I didn’t see any great fish items on the menu
Staff was generally very nice. View of sunset over the water was outstanding. The halibut sandwich was a disappointment -- I do not recommend it. Halibut is a great fish. To hide it in a tuna/egg-sandwich like mix destroyed any ability to detect that I was eating habit. The local craft IPA beer was excellent.
the Bartender Camille was very knowledgeable, food was delicious and we had a blast
Interesting and well executed pub food.
Fantastic service and beautiful spot to look out over the marina. Menu is good but a bit limited in selection. Cocktails were fabulous. Indoor seating is available but a great outdoor deck for those sunny Seattle days!
Best oysters ever, great micro brew. Very attentive service. Menu a bit light but all good.
The White Swan was perfect for our 4 person party. The menu is quite limited, but the food we chose was very good and the service was excellent. The House has a very friendly vibe. We were there in the winter, so everything was inside. In the good weather it looks like there would dining outdoors with lots of views of Lake Union and the marina.
Service was great, food very good. A bit loud. Great value!
Had dinner and drinks here before we saw a concert on the Virginia V. It was great....dinner was very tasty, drinks were on point and service was very attentive. Will definitely be back.
Great find. This was our first visit and we will be back, most likely in the summer when you can sit outside and take in the views of lake union. Fresh oysters were tasty, and we shared 3 main courses and a dessert - the dessert was amazing, all three main courses were tasty but not outstanding. Service was good, low key place with nice ambiance.
The server was super great with recommendations, especially when we bombarded him with a dairy allergy (I know... I know). The roasted olives are tasty (HOT on arrival... Watch out!!!) & we would definitely recommend the Charred Octopus. I'm not sure how we were unaware of this spot as it is ON THE LAKE and does have quite a bit of outdoor seating & 4 slips available. (Seasonal obviously). Mezcal beverages were well balanced and packed a punch. (Delayed punch... FYI) I say you give it a whirl next time you're in the Lake Union vicinity.
Great food but since 5 if us were sharing multiple dishes, we didn’t always have appropriate plates untenable. A minor quibble.
We really enjoyed the Seattle Restaurant Week menu. I loved the wine pairings option — something I would normally never try due to the price, but this made it affordable. We look forward to coming back again.
One of the best places we've been to during our weeks stay in Seattle.
We actually found ourselves going there two nights in a row since we enjoyed it so much the first time. they specialise in seafoods and cool cocktails.
The location, the ambience, the staff, food and drinks, everything was absolutely wonderful. highly recommended
Best brussel sprouts we’ve ever had by far! Definitely worth the visit.
We’ve been here before, but decided to come during Seattle Restaurant Week. Our table was ready and waiting early so we were able to order from the happy hour menu to start. We enjoyed a dozen oysters, always high quality here. They were Amethyst and Tanaka. I had the Brussels sprouts, but they were heavy and over dressed for my taste with big croutons. The Pork Confit was fantastic with southern flavors and something we wouldn’t have thought to order here. Also had the clams, which were light and tasty. I never order dessert but since it comes with SRW I got the Mocha Pot de Creme, which was amazing!! Highly recommend White Swan.
This place was a gem! I am sorry I missed happy hour because the raw oyster deal looked great. They had a nice selection of oysters from the raw bar. The cocktail I had was perfect. For dinner, I had the steamed clams and fried Brussel sprouts and both were flavorful and more than enough for one person. I would definitely return next time I’m in town.
We had a drink at the bar before dinner, very attentive and professional bartenders! Once seated by a very nice and interactive manager/host our waiter took over. He was perfect, timing was on, information about the menu was timely and informative, he was funny but not over bearing, we had a flawless dinner! A misfire of their yummy Brussel Sprouts were offered to our table complimentary and of course we said yes! The food was amazing! They have it figured out at White Swan! Thank you for the yummy, fun and amazing experience! Bonus, We had a to go box that we almost left and they ran it out to us! Good thing since we had planned to take the lobster Mac & cheese to some friends!
Our server was very informative and the food was excellent!
We had a great birthday dinner with oysters, shrimp and fish and chips. We actually decided to go early for happy hour. Reasonable prices a good bloody mary and attentive staff. The parking machine was out of paper so we had to put a handwritten note in the car. The parking lot is independently owned, but is the most convenient place to park.
The food here was very good. The baked octopus was very tasty. Just wished their kimchi fried rice was more spicier. The pie with ice cream was delicious. Their miso soup was also good. Fresh oysters at $1 during happy hour was a treat. Service was prompt and friendly. Will come here again.
The White Swan had a great eclectic menu that wasn’t too expensive and a very cool ambience. Would also be great on a nice day outside as it’s right on the water of Lake Union. Can’t stop thinking about the smoked oyster and chicken liver mousse. So good!
I love bringing people here for dinner or when hosting a happy hour. Amazing PNW cuisin and the oysters are always fresh!
