The White Oak Tavern
Always great food, cooked perfectly.
Made a last minute reservation here, and was pleasantly surprised at how amazing everything was! The food and drinks were top quality!!! We will be coming back for sure.
I usually get good service but lately the service has not been to good. I waited over 20 min for the waiter to come and acknowledged us.
Sat for almost 30 minutes before a waiter arrived to help us.
Amazing craft beers.
Great food and service. Will be back in the future. Thank you!
Good food, good service and great beer selection
Outstanding Valentine's Day. Service and food were awesome. This is our new go-to place.
A pleasant anniversary dinner with my wife that we both enjoyed. The main course was fine but the dessert and drinks were the stars of the show.
The White Oak Tavern is the Cheers of Ellicott City, Maryland. Friendly service, good selection of draft beers, great food, and humorous clientele!
I had brunch at the White Oak Tavern with a friend. The food was delicious! I had the tofu sandwich, which was so good. I would definitely get it again. The service was great, and the atmosphere was really nice. Definitely will be going there again.
Great service. Delicious food. We had the restaurant week specials. The Sharma chicken tacos outstanding and flavorful. Brussels sprouts could have been cooked more. Duck was perfectly done and the hunter stew was hearty and filling with a rich gravy. Carrot cake moist full of raisins and we would have just split it if the special didn't already include another dessert. Not sure why bowling and boxing were on the tv
Had a wonderful night while dining with White Oak Tavern. The restaurant week menu worked out perfectly and everything was exceptional. Our server, Sadie, made the night even more pleasant! Definitely will be back 😊
Wonderful food. Great music.
Excellent experience. Very friendly.
Great service and food! General manager personally made sure all was well. Will surely go again !
Excellent execution of restaurant week lunch menu. Interesting tap list. Attentive service.
Server was attentive and the good excellent
Great service and food . Josh was a great waiter. Loud but not too noisy. Friendly atmosphere!
Great food and beer selection. Would go back 100%
Good beer, good food. Local restaurant with many craft beers on tap. Food is locally sourced.
Our new favorite place. We had previously been there for brunch a few times and this was our first time for dinner. Our waiter Joshua was outstanding. Our food was delicious and very friendly to those with food sensitivity. We had a great table and enjoyed every minute.
Very much a neighborhood eatery. Very casual.
Travis, the restaurant manager, is doing an excellent job. Beer selection is good, especially the Scottish Ales, food was delicious (enjoyed the turkey pot pie), and bartenders are knowledgeable and efficient. Always feel welcome at the White Oak!
Second time here and it was as good as the first. Great food and great beer selection.
We chose White Oak Tavern for our family holiday lunch, and we were not disappointed. From the warm greeting at the door to the extensive beer and wine offerings to the delicious food, White Oak Tavern provided a delightful place to celebrate. The only bit of confusion was in having two waitresses (one in training) so unsure about who to ask for what. We have two vegans in the family who were easily accommodated. We would recommend and we will be back.
Really liked the interior and the layout of this restaurant! The waitress was super friendly and attentive to our needs. However, the food was a disappointment. The fried tofu sandwich was very oily and tasted bland. The mixed garden salad with champagne dressing was alright. The beef stew had a very interesting taste and texture that we could not finish it. We also ordered a side of french fries and the dipping sauces, which were ketchup and ranch, did not taste like a normal ketchup and ranch. The turkey pot pie was decent, but again, did not taste right. I would only recommend this place for its alcohol menu. They have huge selection of different types of beer and mixed drinks.
Food was good but staff was limited and as a result, service was poor. Never came by to fill water glasses. Drinks ordered but not delivered. Had to ask 2 times if they forgot one of the drinks. Finally came after food was delivered.
It was a good experience, only pit fall was minor things with the food. Shrimp etouffe should have rice with it and it needed salt. The turkey potpie was heavily smoked and had no other flavor. Desserts were delicious but were huge. The size of the apple crisp was the same size as the turkey potpie.
Returned to White Oak tavern after a long pause. Was somewhat surprised to see the room mostly empty. Our server was fantastic and the manager handled an issue with our dinners very admirably. However we both found our entrees disappointing and it feels like the kitchen is not carrying its weight anymore
First visit for brunch. Great food, great service, clean and nice atmosphere.
Service and food were very good. Served there home made mustard and ketchup. Not good. Asked for normal mustard and ketchup, they had regular ketchup but not normal mustard. 🙁
Excellent winter menu won over my family. Service was top notch too!
Wide variety of meal selections. Our group had a burger, soup, salad, couple of sandwiches, appetizers. All the food was prepared well. There are plenty of beer selections, of different types to appeal to your wants or wishes. We went on Tuesday for 12:30 lunch, so any crowd by then was gone. It was very quiet, the service we had was attentive but left us to our conversations. Never pushed us, but they were there to ensure everything is well, did we need anything else. We will be back since we felt welcomed and everything was better than most folks need.
Menu has many options, especially for a sports bar.
Everyone from the bartender to server were wonderful!! Food was outstanding, staff awesome.
We will definitely return.
Loved their burger
The food was good and it was a nice place for brunch.
Glad we tried but we will stick with lunch for the best burgers ever. Brunch is a bit pricey since most dishes require add-ons. Fried green tomatoes are fried. Unique and tasty is the brisket hash. Bit noisy because booths are so close together.
