Our experience was as fabulous as when we first visited last year..The food was superb and presented beautifully in ample amounts. Our server, Josiah, was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, quick, and with a great smile. We look forward to returning.

This is my second visit to The White Marlin. It did not disappoint. The food was generously proportioned, hot and very delicious! The service was outstanding, and the view amazing. The only downfall, in my opinion is they need to pave the parking lot.

Was recommended as a fine dining restaurant in the area. We opted to sit on the patio, as the weather was nice. When we arrived, the hostess asked if we had a reservation and I said yes. She abruptly said, it was at 5:30 and it was now 6:30 and to wait while she could get us a table. In fairness, where we were staying was in CST and the restaurant, although only 12 miles away was in EST. We were seated and our server greeted us. We asked for beverages and my friend received her glass with lipstick around the rim. What presumed was the manager, came by and she replaced it with another glass. We ordered calamari as an appetizer and it was good. We couldn't finish the calamari and asked for a box. It was over a 1/2 hour later until we received the box. My friend ordered the coconut crusted grouper and I had the shrimp and grits. The grouper was bland with no flavor and the shrimp and grits were ok but the shrimp were not gulf shrimp as I could tell they were treated shrimp and not natural. (meaning they contained phosphates). They had speakers outdoors but they were not playing. It would have been nice to have had music. Also, they had a terrible problem with flies. Noted we were outside but I would have hoped that would be able to control the flies with something. The prices were a bit steep for the quality of the food. The servers were not very polished and I overheard one ask as she approached a new table, "I guess you want some food." There are a lotto other local places that may not have the shine of The White Marlin but strive, food and friendliness are better.

We made a reservation here for our anniversary. We were sat at a wobbly table, so we asked our server to move. We ordered two glasses of Chardonnay, Rockefeller oysters and the coconut shrimp as starters. The server came back about 5 minutes later and told us they were out of the wine we ordered, so we ordered another kind. The apps came out and the food runner dropped the wrong oysters to our table. She apologized and sent us the right ones. My boyfriend ordered the prime rib, I ordered swordfish. About 15 minutes later the server told us they were out of prime rib. We decided to pay and move along. We noticed the manager was touching tables around us, and thought she would touch our table since there were multiple issues. She didn’t, when we left she was having a cocktail at her bar. We are in the industry so we left disappointed and hungry. We went to the Burger King across the street and grabbed a burger.

Beautiful view and place to have dinner and drinks. Food was good and worth the price for the view. Small thing, but put a couple grains of rice in each salt shaker. I ordered the Tuna steak and it was fresh and delish! Wife ordered Filet and it was cooked medium rare exactly as ordered. Food was seasoned well. Very clean, love the tablecloth addition to Port St Joe fine dining.

First off, our waitress was incredible! Our soup was delicious. Those are the only positives from our dinner. Our food was subpar and bland. My steak had to be sent back to the kitchen because I ordered rare and was served medium well. It was advertised to be served with mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetable but all that was plated was vegetables for the side. It should also be noted that in my 36 years on this planet, I’ve never complained in a restaurant. My husband’s grouper had no flavor. To top it off, there was an UNADVERTISED 2.6% fee charged on our bill for using a Visa Debit card. We were really disappointed as we had been looking forward to this dinner for a while.

Sat on time for our reservation. Squash appetizer was great. Went down hill fast from there. Salad arrive one hour later. Grouper arrived TWO hours after appetizer. Fish was hot and bland, the rest of the dish was COLD and crunchy - Skip this place

It was our first time at the White Marlin and everything was on point including the service the king crab legs were to die for. We also had the crab cake and the scallops we almost couldn't eat all of it they also have a great wine list I could go on and on but if you want a good dining experience go to the White Marlin

Really great food and atmosphere. A touch pricey, however, worth it. Our second time there and will be going back. Salads are great, along with the grouper & snapper. Ribeye was pretty good, by my friend said the filet was much better

Absolutely had wonderful dinners at this location. We actually went two nights during our stay while at port st Joe. The food is wonderful. The service is top notch! The food is fresh and the variety of options fits any occasion. Cocktail are also fresh . The complementary bread and blueberry is a great touch. If you see stuffed squash on the appetizer list it is a MUST. Oysters were fantastic. You can pick off the menu blindfolded and wouldn’t be disappointed.

We were underwhelmed by the food. Caesar salad was overdressed and not chilled, making the croutons almost immediately soft and the greens wilted. The starter bread was dry and almost a little too sweet for dinner. We ordered two half dozen oysters (Casino and Crab) and they were a little small compared to others in the area - and the one topped with crab didn’t have the best flavor, which we were surprised by. We also ordered the Rosemary Ribeye, medium, Wanda it was served a little under and didn’t have the nice sear that you look for on a steak. Overall it was a fun experience and the atmosphere is so beautiful, and we would love to try it again because we know sometimes it could just be chance that our meal wasn’t as we expected it to be.

Restaurant is very loud and very stark. Food was very bland and took a long time to come out considering the restaurant was half full. Risotto was over cooked and dry, fish was under seasoned. Salads were over dressed and swimming. Baked Oysters were ok. The tables were very close together and the waitress squeezed between tables repeatedly pushing in an empty chair at our table into my husbands leg each time. We wouldn’t have minded the prices had the experience been good. Very little to offer if gluten free.

Apparently, when they change their hours, they didn’t feel the need to change it with their phone messages and open table, who they use for their reservations. So, when we showed up (with a confirmed reservation) to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, no one was there. Which was an extreme disappointment!! I’m still angry about it.

We were seated promptly and our drink order was delivered just as fast. The filet and ribeye were cooked to perfection. After dinner we had drinks on the deck watching the Port St Joe sunset. Our first time here and definitely won’t be the last.

Our second time back. I liked that the menu has many more seafood options than before. It is what I would expect for a beautiful setting on the water. The salad was a Florida Girl, with a lovely, light citrus dressing--hardly any oil, which is nice in the Florida heat. I would definitely order the salad again. My Coconut Crusted Grouper was locally sourced, a large portion and delicious. I would prefer to have some sort of veggies on my plate, rather than a la carte, but I will defer to the salad. Dessert was 7 layer chocolate cake which was huge, and decadent. The toasted marshmallow tiramisu was a bit rich, and very marshmallowy...I'm just not a fan of uber sticky sweet things...but my dad loved it, and the presentation was lovely. The food was excellent, but what made the meal, was our server, Kyle. He was cheerful, knowledgable, quietly efficient and made great recommendations. Everything that a fine dining establishment should be proud of. Looking forward to returning.
