   Nice place with attentive and courteous staff. Had a reasonable value lunch option of a drink and a limited choice of meals for £13.95. This option wasn't great for vegetarian meals ( cheese sandwich or Tomato and Basil soup with half a cheese sandwich) but friends enjoyed gammon, egg and chips.

   Great evening giving the Supper Club menu (2 courses for £20.50, Mon _ Wed) a run out. I can't eat on an empty stomach, so a nice couple of Timothy Taylor's Landlord to start. The food and service from Sarah was great. An additional plus was £10 off a bottle of wine when 2 dine, and there is a great wine list to choose from. Even better, they have a decent carmenere on, my preferred wine tipple, not offered in most places. Highly recommended.

   So rare to find a lovely old pub serving superb food with lovely staff too. I'm a real fussy eater and not a foodie but really enjoy good tasty food, and we really don't like "chain" restaurants as they are so often disappointing! This lovely pub has been nicely renovated with a gorgeous garden to sit out in, it's far bigger inside than it appears and the menu is superb, so many things I can eat on it! My husband had the roast beef Sunday lunch which looked superb and was huge! My son had the Crabocado burger which was also superb, but quite small (suits us as we hate big portions) and I had the Ham hock and chicken pie which was superb! They welcome dogs too and the staff are just lovely, very welcoming and they have a new Manager who is a really decent bloke too. A really superb experience and for me to give 5*s it must be good. Cannot recommend it highly enough and there's a handy big car park just a few steps away (paying). We'll be back and very soon. Well done guys for making us diners very happy!
