Devon is blessed with an abundance of fresh, quality produce. We are surrounded by rolling farmland and the county has a huge coastline, so sourcing fresh local meat, game and fish is no problem for our chefs.
Always seeking out the best new local suppliers, we believe in letting the quality of the ingredients speak for themselves and our chefs produce delicious yet uncomplicated dishes in a regularly changing menu.

excellent service from the moment we stepped into the Hotel,it was my aunties birthday and they very kindly decorated the table and put up a birthday banner, service ,food everthing was brilliant,could not recommend enough

Have visited the White Hart many times and the choice of food has always been good, however on this occasion the menu was really limited, ok if you liked bread ! A choice of different sandwiches, baguettes and ciabattas but only four mains (3 of which came with chips) I know its January and it is traditionally quiet but the menu really didn't inspire me to return.

Lovely cosy old style hotel. Enjoyed a relaxing drink in the lounge before our lunch. Great Sunday roast. Very good value for the quality and quantity of the food.

We went for Sunday lunch. My husband had a gravadlax starter, I had duck, both excellent. We then had roast beef and pork, both tasty and tender with a huge Yorkshire pudding and a good choice of vegetables. We followed it with sticky toffee pudding - yummy. Excellent service. Would go again.

We had a couple of Evening Meals during a recent stay at The White Hart: although we would recommend the hotel to friends to stay, it is a little too far away to pop in for a meal - we live more than 150 miles away in North Oxfordshire.

We were there for lunch as part of an occasion arranged for my husband’s birthday. It was a lovely lunch in very comfortable cosy surroundings. Staff were excellent, very friendly & helpful.
