   The food was good but the waitress really rubbed my partner and I the wrong way. Since we arrived she made rude comments to both of us and kept prying.. As we ate our dinners we both felt mad and bothered because of her. We left the restaurant bothered by this awful dinner experience. We own property and are in Jackson bimonthly and definitely never returning to this restaurant. I will not recommend this to any visitors or locals in Jackson.

   Other than the decor, which could use tablecloths and lower lighting levels, this is a phenomenal restaurant. The food was excellent and the service made it even better.

   Fabulous Restaurant. Everything was superb - cocktails. dinner, dessert, wine selection and the best server ever- Jean Paul. He added to our entire dining experience. A spot not to be missed.

    We will definitely return! Fabulous food and service. It is a small, quaint place inside the hotel but don’t feel you have to be a guest to dine here. We live in Alphabetical be and found this well worth the drive.

    Was surprised how small the dining area is. Had mushroom toast for appetizer -- amazingly good and really rich. Elk medallions and wife had the trout. Both excellent. Service very attentive, limited wine selection. Near end of ski season -- was surprised that it wasn't busy given the quality of the food. Best meal we had outside of Bozeman on 8 day Big Sky/JH trip. Blueberry compote over Pana Cotta was a great finish to evening/trip.

    Fantastic all around! Attentive staff and phenomenal food - we had elk, steak, pheasant and trout for entrees, fresh and thoughtfully prepared. Would definitely recommend and hope to come back soon!

    Continues to be the best meal in Jackson. Gave it five stars for everything except “value”, which I show as four stars, but I need to clarify that so people don’t make the wrong assumption. For, what it is, it is quite reasonable. It’s certainly not overpriced, it’s a bit of a bargain really. Just don’t think you are going to go in there and get this level of preparation, quality of ingredients, and service and walk out for $6 a person. That’s all I meant by the four stars. It’s possible I should have just given it 5 stars for value as well, as it is a very good value, the taste per dollar ratio might be the best in town, just don’t expect McDonalds. There are plenty of other places in town where you can pay more for less. The service is always perfect as well. None of that, “Hi, I’m Biff, I’ll be your careless, generally unresponsive, aloof ski bum server this evening, and don’t forget to leave a large gratuity.” attitude which is so common elsewhere.

    Our first time here. We were pleasantly surprised. We enjoyed 3 different entrees and appetizers. All were delicious. And the waiter was very good at describing all the dishes.

    Delicious food in a relaxing, beautiful dining area. Our waiter was helpful and knowledgeable. Our table of 6 enjoyed all our entrees (trout, pheasant…), salads and the mushroom toast. Definitely recommend!

    The food was fantastic. The trout was delicious and the elk was tender and juicy. Most of all, our server was a lot of fun to chat with. As others have mentioned because it’s next to the hotel lobby, but don’t let that bother you when you walk in. It’s very comfortable and the pictures on the wall are super cool. We had lively conversations and really enjoyed it. You won’t be disappointed. I highly recommend.

    Matthew, our server, was amazing. He knew everything about all the menu items. He clearly has tried them all, and his recommendations were spot on for us. The food was exceptional too. Our best meal during our Jackson Hole vacation. It's a must try for sure! Don't miss this outstanding restaurant, wonderful service and beautiful ambiance. I would attach pictures but they are on my daughters phone-who seldom takes pictures of our food, but this was a meal that will be remembered!! We had the trout, the tenderloin, and chop. We had the carrot cake as well. Delicious- every bite!

    Fantastic food! My wife had the trout which was amazing! I had the elk tenderloin with fingerling potatoes and asparagus and these were amazing as well! Best food we had on our 5 day trip. This is absolutely a hidden gem!

    Whistling Grizzly’s definitely a hidden gem in Jackson. They’re likely short staffed just like everyone else. But, they definitely seem to have gone out of their way to find truly professional people to try to balance the void. There’s not really anything on the menu here that qualifies as anything less than gourmet. I kept seeing the Mushroom Toast on the menu, but was skeptical of ordering it. This time I asked our server about it. He said it’s the best thing on the menu, so we ordered it. It was unbelievably good. For what the Whistling Grizzly lacks in ambiance being a hotel lobby restaurant, it makes up for it in exemplary food and service. It’s been my experience that the best food I’ve had throughout my life has so often been found in the most unlikely of places. This hotel lobby restaurant is one of those places. Give it a try and prepare to be amazed.

    We had a good time at Whistling Grizzly. Reservation was about 20 minutes late. Food was good but value was lacking. $20 for a side of macaroni and cheese and the elk tenderloin was good but serving size was very small, around 8 bites for $47.

    We had a great meal at the Whistling Grizzly. There were 4 in our group. I got the pheasant, one of our friends got the Elf chop, and another friend got the Wild Game Bolognese. All three of ours was excellent. My Husband got the NY strip steak that was on offer that night and it was not seasoned very well. It was our least favorite and the most expensive. I would highly recommend the wild game entrees.

    The best hidden secret in Jackson Hole! Can’t rave about this place enough! Don’t let the ambiance fool you. The food was Amazing! Ask for Cody, he was a wonderful server! A must when in Jackson Hole!

    I had elk and my wife had trout. Both entrees were as good as it gets. Some of the best food I ever had - ingredients, preparation, and presentation. The chef is creative - original stuff in the salad and in the entrees. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone (with the caution that restaurants here are expensive)
