Super slow but good.
We waited a half an hour for our reservation, only to be told 2 appetizers and 1/3 of the entrees weren't available! Then the sliders were overcooked after we requested pink in the middle. Lastly, they were out of the apple cider donuts for dessert and didn't have amaretto for coffee. This was on a Sunday night and they blamed Valentine's Day, which was on a Thursday. Not contrite at all. I sent an email complaining and have yet to receive a response.
Filet was very good, and the selection of spirits was exceptional! One of my favorite places.
Fabulous. Wait staff very helpful and friendly.
Ran out of scallops at the 8pm seating. We can for the scallops. Servers were understaffed. Every evolution was about 5 minutes longer than what you would expect.
Great food and atmosphere! It was our first time going and it reminded us of an old speakeasy. Very small, quaint place. Will definitely be back!
We really enjoyed the service. The hostess staff was pleasant and promptly seated our party. The waiter offered really good suggestions and the food was tasty. The noise level was high but overall a very pleasant experience.
Amazing food, awesome list of cocktails and good selection of other beverages, nice ambiance, excellent customer service, great vibes but a little loud for table talk.
An awesome restaurant off the beaten path in Roswell. Cool atmosphere. The drink menu is extensive. My husband had the Uncle Buck which he enjoyed. The meat and cheese board was generous and delicious. I had the sweet potato ravioli and my husband had the filet - both delicious. convenient parking too.
This experience blew us away. We are whiskey lovers who went here for an anniversary. The selection of whiskey was superb, the food was fantastic, the service was outstanding. It was an all-around great experience for us both and I can't recommend The Whiskey Project highly enough.
The whiskey selection was amazing! We went there Saturday for Brunch and was surprised at how good the food was as well. I am looking forward to coming here again
Appetizers and drinks were incredible! Each dish that we got at our table had something that was not perfect. The duck was very gamey, the scallops came over risotto that was very grainy and did not have much flavor and the pork chop was a tad overcooked. I would recommend a friend to go for drink/desert/app but not for dinner based on the price and food quality! Service was great and atmosphere really cool though.
The bar offerings cannot be beat anywhere!!!!! Every kind of bourbon, scotch, whiskey you can imagine. The food was wonderful and our waitress was the best. One of the owners kept going around to tables to help assist too. This was nice to see.
Our ONLY complaint is that it is way too noisy!!! We had just two of us at a table and had a very hard time hearing each other.
We will return but will probably sit up at the bar.
Always amazing. We had the Kalettes and loaded frites as appetizers. Then for dinner enjoyed the Filet with au poivre sauced scallops. The food and cocktails never disappoint. My step was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The au poivre sauce was so flavorful. I give this restaurant a perfect 10!
Great vibe, extensive bar, wonderful food. Involved owner. This place is a local gem. You should go and enjoy.
Great Whisky/Bourbon/Rye Selection, need more Napa/Sonoma Chsrds. Wish we saw the outside seating, look very quait.
Great food and energy! Service was amazing and if you like Whiskey, this is the place for you! Only issue we had was the noise level, place was full which was good but open concept produced a lot of noise and hard to talk to my wife without shouting. But everything else was amazing.
Fantastic. The food was amazing and great atmosphere. If you like bourbon this is the place. We will definitely be back.
The food and service was outstanding as always! Marcus Bifaro and his partner have put together a gem of a place!
The food was complex, balanced and interesting, Appetizers and entrees varied from good to outstanding. Dessert selection could improve, German Chocolate Cake was just good and the doughnuts were disappointing. I was glad I selected port in lieu of a dessert. The port and Irish coffee were both good. The Irish coffee would have been better had it been served hot - it was lukewarm. Other than being served a glass of wine that had turned, which the server promptly rectified, it was a truly memorable dinning experience.
Both the Osso Bucco were Springer Chicken were dry and mediocre at best. Good, responsive wait staff. Good happy hour bar but nothing special from a food standpoint. Forget about having a conversation in the dining area unless you are beside one another. Definitely a good spot for drinks. Selection of whiskeys is very impressive and probably the best in Atlanta.
interesting combination of foods creating delicious flavors. I look forward to returning.
Food was good, but the valet takes half the lot and supposedly the adjacent lots ( unmarked unless convenient to make people move) for an area that doesn't need valet! Bad first impression.of course not paying for valet - wrong city not necessary.
Everything was great! But if you plan to order a whiskey, make sure you check the price first!!
The food was outstanding (very accommodating with my dairy allergy), the cocktails were top-notch, and the wine list was excellent, especially considering that this is a whiskey place. Above all, the service was outstanding—Giovanni was kind and attentive. I’ve already recommended it, and will definitely come again when I’m in town.
Excellent service and food. The drink menu is quite extensive. I would definitely recommend!!
Food was very tasty only one complaint about the food .
My dinner was cold.
Our waitress was also a bartender . We waited a long time between visits. Not very attentive to our table. The girl at the bar may have been the manager I couldn’t see no reason for her not to make drinks. She spent too much time flirting with a customer. I would definitely reconsider before I come back to eat.
We were there early Sunday afternoon at 5 just as they opened.
There were three of us and the bartender was friendly and informative about the
great cocktails. However, as more people arrived, it was clear that they needed
someone else with her as she was waiting on tables and mixing drinks and placing
food orders. It was about 40-45 minutes between rounds. Love the place, the look
and feel and the drinks were awesome but by the time more staff arrived, you couldn't help
but wish there were more hands on deck. We'll be back for dinner and I'm sure during
rush, they're better staffed.
Our food overall was very good. The service was horrific. We were seated at 5:30 on a Sunday and no one took our food order until 6:20. The same person was hostess, waiter and bartender when we arrived. Eventually someone showed up shortly after 6 to assist her, but the damage was done. Doubt any of us return.
Loved TWP! We really enjoyed our dinner at Whiskey Project and will definitely be going back, as well as recommending it to our friends. They have excellent cocktails, a good wine list and creative/tasty food selections, plus a really cool atmosphere- such a great find!
Dined out with another couple and all was excellent but if it’s a packed house it can be very difficult to hear conversation, even with the server. Need more soft surfaces to buffer the noise.
I am so glad that my wife and I came across The Whiskey Project, as we were exploring Roswell last weekend. The ambiance is great, the service was wonderful and the food did not disappoint. We went for brunch and tasted a little bit of everything - and the servers (and owners) helped guide our decisions.
Will definitely be going back.
I really wanted to love this place, but after dining there, I am on the fence about ever going back.
* 1 week before dinner, after reading my “notes to restaurant”in Open Table (I requested as quiet a table as possible b/c we were a group of friends in from various countries who wanted to catch up with each other), the owner telephoned me to explain about the very high weekend noise level and button down my food allergies. Great customer care!
* Food was very good! No one had a dish that they were unhappy about. Kudos to the kitchen!
* Remember my written & verbal request about a quiet table on a very noisy night? We were seated at THE MOST CENTER TABEL IN THE RESTAURANT! No explanation or apology. Even when wall/corner seating opened up (and before we were served food) no offer was made to relocate us. It felt almost like they did it on purpose.
* If you are especially interested in the venison carpaccio, forget about it. 4 of the 5 of us wanted it. According to our waiter, they only have @4 plates of this per night, “and it always runs out immediately.” Ok, so maybe mention that on the menu, or at least instruct waitstaff to tell guests that in advance of reading the menu?? OR maybe plan to make more if this is a known problem??
* I read reviews about how helpful the staff was suggesting items off the cocktail menu. Vastly different experience for us. When I asked our waiter for a few recommendations, the response was: “there are so many different kinds of cocktails on our menu, I can’t really recommend anything specific. It just depends on what you like.” WHAT?! Our waiter finally mentioned his personal favorite cocktail, but didn’t explain why. He just said there were some barrels of aged alcohol, and if you order from them, the cocktail is more expensive.
* My Sazerac had about 1 tsp of unmixed granulated sugar sludge at the bottom. Some bars do it this way, true, but iit ruins the last 1/3 of the drink IMHO.
This is our second trip to the Whiskey Project. The food was as delicious as we remembered it - but Very rich. The noise seemed to be double this time. The restaurant is set up as a loft style with high exposed ceilings and not much noise dampening. It was nearly impossible to hear the person next to you, but I could hear the lady across the aisle from us just fine. Strange.
Would still go back despite the noise. Great service, great drinks, great food.
Outstanding all the way around. Great service, great food, great atmosphere!!
Ordered a few appetizers and they were all delicious. Kalette was excellent and perfectly crispy. Shrimp fritters were fantastic. The duck and steak were fantastic as well. The collards were a little spicy for my liking. The chocolate bourbon pecan pie was so good and I loved how they played with the bacon. Apple cider donuts were melt in your mouth. And the cocktails were top notch. One of the drinks the sugar wasn’t dissolved all the way as it should have been but the drink was still delicious. Our server was great and personable, as was the owner. Very cool interior. I thought the TVs took away from it a bit but all in all, very speakeasy vibe. From the Edison bulbs to the water bottles to the sliding ladder for the whiskey wall—loved it all.
Great place for an intimate dinner.
Very good food but second time in a row they are understaffed. No hostess and only two servers who were also the bartender for the entire restaurant. Very nice staff though. Also the food was insanely peppery this time vs the same exact meal we had two weeks before. Overall very nice time but need a few adjustments.
Amazing place with the most extensive selection of whiskeys I have seen in my life. The food is excellent and the staff is knowledgeable. Looking forward to my next visit.
Great food and bourbon/whiskey selection. It was extremely loud, however, so do not expect to be able to have an intimate conversation.
