Based in Greetham, The Wheatsheaf is 6 miles from Oakham and 4 miles from Rutland Water. Carol and Scott took over the Wheatsheaf in March 2008. The seasonal Modern British menu changes weekly. The wine list is based on wines from around the world with a good selection by the glass. We also have an excellent selection of beers and local cask ales.

In 2021 The Wheatsheaf was a new entry in The Estrella Damm Top 50 Gastro Pubs and was also awarded The Michelin Red Plate.

We are closed on Mondays and Tuesday except Bank Holidays.

Another outstanding lunch. Food and service from Scott and his team consistently outstanding. Really can't rate this restaurant highly enough.

We had such a lovely meal, it was all delicious. The service was excellent too, everyone was so professional friendly and accommodating. Lovely busy pub and we can see why. Thank you so much, we will definitely come again.

Fantastic as always. Enjoyed the lunch for less menu..Belly Pork was superb as was the crayfish/prawn starter and the ginger pudding. Definately will be visiting again.

As always, a superb meal. The food is always amazing and we have been many times. Scott and his team are so welcoming and helpful and the service is is excellent. I thoroughly recommend The Wheatsheaf...it really is outstanding

First visit to The Wheatsheaf and will certainly be returning and recommending to others. A great choice of food, beautifully presented and friendly service. A remarkable wine list covering every pocket and grape variety.

If you are in Greetham or surrounding area make a booking for The Wheatsheaf, you will be in for a treat. The food is superb and everyone is so friendly. Can’t wait to get back this way. You have to try the crème brûlée.
