Nice ambiance. Great service with Dan! Entertainment afterwards was good.
The menu was awful!! It was way too expensive and it wasn’t GOOD food! They had no variety
We had reservations and waited 25 minutes past our time. Waited 16 minutes for a drink and 40 for the food. Thank you for our appetizer on the house! The food and service was amazing though. Beautiful atmosphere inside! Wouldn’t recommend going on a night there’s a concert at Melody Tent. Place was a zoo!
It was our first visit and we were not disappointed- the room was lovely and although it was noisy we were able to hear ourselves talk easily (I think they had noise damper tiles in the ceiling). Our waitress was friendly and informative and the staff all seemed to be working hard!! And the food was delicious! Would definitely go again!
We had a great booth table with a great server. The food was very good and we will be going back for another visit! Too many tasty things on the menu for a single try!
My friend and I ordered 2 glasses of wine one order of seacakes and 2 Halibut .
I have Never SEEN fish so mistreated.....
Your pan sauteing amounted to PRECOOKED fish that was so Dry and tasteless that I was astonished!!!!!
The bill was $107.
A TOTAL OUTRAGE..........
NEVER BE RETURNING...
TELLING EVERYONE I KNOW.....
The 3 stalks if asparagus were the only decent bite
If your intention is to go out of business you have a good start
Food came very fast
Food was hot
Food was delicious
10 plus for a food magazine critics
There's a funny barn-like smell in the restaurant that is a bit of a turn off, otherwise very nice staff and dinner
First time visitors to the West End. Food was excellent, Husband had lobster roll ($29) and I had Swordfish over coconut rice, very very good, plus it was Cajun, tasty. We really liked it there, it was a shock to the system as it used to be the Paddock and we went there every time we vacationed at the Cape. They have done it over on the sleek side but still left a lot of the old Paddock's décor. I enjoyed the night, we had a great server so I will be back again on next visit to the Cape.
THE STAFF WAS WARM AND WELCOMING. THEY OFFERED A NICE GLASS OF CHAMPAGNE TO CELEBRATE OUR ANNIVERSARY,LOVELY TOUCH. CHEF WAS VERY ACCOMMODATING TO A DIETARY REQUEST. OUR MEAL WAS VERY GOOD, LARGE PORTIONS AND TASTY. THE GINGER CREME BRULEE WAS A GREAT END. WILL CHECK OUT AGAIN.
Loved it! Enjoyed the brunch & excellent jazz! Great service by William & hostess! Will be back!
Good food but very poor service, specially for the type of restaurant that is.
Limited menu. Way too many appetizers and very few entree's. The bus boys were way more attentive than the actual server.
We really like The West End, though not always consistent
Went for 10th anniversary dinner. No complementary dessert or any acknowledgement from waiter gir anniversary although hostess did offer.her congratulations. Steal was undercooked and manager comped steak. Was enjoyable evening nevertheless.
I've been to the West End several times and like it quite a bit. Normally, the food is simply excellent. This time, though, my steak was cooked more than I asked while the fingerling potatoes were not cooked quite enough (still a bit hard). Nonetheless, they tasted very good, so I let the problems slide. Everything else was the normal excellent quality. The carrot cake from Washashore was also excellent.
The food was not warm enough and the fillets were not cocked properly
Our server Tanya was awesome, however a large group of loud people ruined the ambience
West End has great atmosphere although it is definitely loud. We have been a few times and each time some part of the service lets us down and keeps it from being a great restaurant. They need more professionally trained hosts. Our waiter at this visit was very good and attentive. Other times, the service has been slow and the bar needs more bartenders. Our food this visit was very good.
Very loud. Service was great, seating for two was not conducive for a date. Nice presentation on food but halibut was dry.
Fresh food, nice twist on entrees, attentive servers!
Overall good not great expensive and small portions
after some initial trouble with being seated from our reservation, the evening turned out to be a wonderful experience. Food and service were excellent, and at the end of our meal, the trouble we had waiting for our table was professionally apologized for, leaving both parties at ease. Great evening before our venue at The Melody Tent.
This was not our first time here but this time was a disappointment. The summer menu had limited offerings and items we enjoyed in the past were no longer on the menu. The people at the table next to us had the same experience. The wait time for our appetizers and dinners was significantly longer than we have ever experienced. It was a concert night at the Melody Tent but we have been there on other concert nights and did not experience this delay. Again, we were not the only ones with this experience. This is a neighborhood restaurant for us and it is sad that we were so disappointed in our experience here this time.
If you go, stress that you want to be in the main dining room. I made reservation 2 months in advance, as we were going to the Melody Tent. I had never eaten here, so did not know I needed to request main dining area. Instead, we were put in the bar area. It had NO ambiance there at all! I complained and was told they were fully booked and told that the lounge was as good as the restaurant.....That should not have been my problem. After insisting that I wanted to go in the main dining area, I was finally seated there, though not pleasantly. The ambiance in the main areas was great and what I expected. My husband had salmon and caeser salad that was excellent. My pork chops were dry as cardboard. I never write negative reviews, but felt this one was deserved. No member of management came by to see how anything was. The waitress was very pleasant.
We both had burgers..cooked as ordered and delicious. Tots are delish..not your frozen variety at all! Good drink pours (dirty martini and kettle one on the rocks). Wait staff was very attentive. The Melody tent had a show that night and many were there to see it, but even with the crowd the noise level was fine and we got to hear/enjoy the jazz trio.
One of my most memorable experiences with our server ever, he is fantastic!
The Cajun swordfish entree looked so amazing that I felt bad cutting into it but I’m very glad I did as it was perfect.
West End has a great location beside the Melody Tent at the rotary.
The food and service are fantastic. we will be coming back for years to come.
Had Father's Day Brunch here and it was unbelievably bad. The food offerings were so limited and the quality was definitely sub par. For fruit, they had only grapes on the vines. How are you suppose to serve yourself without taking the entire bunch. For the salad, they had an over drenched Caesar and some mixed greens, with no toppings, i.e. cucumbers, radishes, croutons, nuts, shredded carrots, chick peas, green peas, hard boiled eggs, an assortment of dressings - nothing! Finally, for the hot food, the only thing that looked edible was the bland scrambled eggs and I couldn't even get any Tabasco sauce when I asked. I am completely embarrassed that I invited others to celebrate Father's Day at this establishment. I never write negative reviews even when things aren't great, but this one really took the cake. My husband said he would have preferred IHOP, we all had a second lunch shortly thereafter.
We went for fathers day brunch and I was very impressed! The ambiance and very nice , the service was great!
The food was good (nor great). There wasn’t a big selection at the Sunday brunch buffet and the desserts were mediocre. A big line formed at the buffet because there was only 1 person making omelets AND carving meats. There seemed to b a large staff in the restaurant but no one came to help him.
The food was very good. We would have liked to see a bigger space for the buffet though. The line was always backed up since the chef cooking the omelettes also had to carve the prime rib since the person assign to do that called out. The general manager, Tamara , walked around and helped everyone with coffee, toast and at one point gave a table a taste of eggs Benedict that they had asked about. I guess because it was Father's day they weren't offering it. For the Cape and the fact that it was Father's day the price was reasonable. We will return.
My husband enjoyed his food but my short rib was very tough. I didn’t eat it..😔
The food was disappointing. It was a Sunday brunch, sadly lacking in creative options. It was pretty standard , run-of-the-mill brunch with few options for those who do not eat beef or pork.
The extra charge for coffee was unexpected, especially when the standard Bloody Mary /Mimosa was not included in price. Bloody Mary was very good, music fabulous.
Loved taking my husband to the jazz brunch! Lots of vegetarian options, can get by as a vegan too
The food was fine, but slightly too expensive for the quality. We sat at the bar and the bartender making the service drinks made our night and was so friendly and helpful. Everyone was very nice there and the bar was a great place for dinner.
THEY DID NOT HAVE OUR RESERVATION!!!!!!
My salmon was excellent but I really didn’t get anything with it for the price the person of eating with me had a Caesar salad that had hardly any Parmesan cheese in it and when we asked the waitress she said that the cheese is in the dressing that’s not how I know Caesar salad I don’t think I will be going back
From the valet to the hostess to our servers and runners, we were treated incredibly well. Clearly there is a culture of service ingrained in the West End family. One tiny glitch where our apps nearly went to the table next to us, was easily forgiven. Mistakes happen; it’s in one’s response to them that you find out what a place is made of. The runners, probably newer as we were there in early June, were duly horrified at their gaffe and recovered well.
The food was amazing. The table favorite for apps was the beet appetizer. Pistachio pesto?? YUM. Our waiter Daniel quarterbacked the whole evening all while training a new server, and the results were wonderful. His wine pick, Clio, a dry red blend, is now my quest to find.
If you go for the first time make sure to get the signature truffle tots and one of their West End-only cocktails or virgin drinks. And then you could really just close your eyes and point somewhere on the menu and you will not be disappointed!
We were down here on the Cape and we were looking for a date night spot, with good food and atmosphere. Im
So happy to say we got it here! Everything from the moment you walked it was inviting and warm. We wanted to sample a little bit of everything so we got everything but (I think) three things on the starter menu plus the little neck clams. Honestly my only disappointment with this place is that we live 5 hours away and I can’t come here more often. The service was so on point and attentive and super friendly. They even paid special attention to the fact it was our anniversary. When anyone comes to Cape Cod I will be sure to point them to The West End. Five stars guys. Thank You for a great first night and a great dinner!
