Our usual special occasion place for more than 20 years, it has now disappointed. Slow service - 10 minutes before drink order. Greasy fried calamari. Plate presentation for dinner looked like something served in grade school cafeteria. Noisy because we were seated next to large party. It had always been a quietly upscale, elegant restaurant in the past. Not sure how the staff could quiet down 2 large, separate tables who appeared to be there on a business outing. But, hey the wine and cocktails were outstanding.

Dinner. Scallop dish was very tasty with mushrooms and some spinach but not enough scallops for cost. Short ribs awesome and tender but beans that came with were very tough. Burger was good but ya gotta love pimento. Beet salad excellent. Service excellent.

Love West End. Unfortunately, every time I go I get the wonderful sea bass so I can't elaborate on the rest of the menu. No place better in town. Awesome for corporate meetings when you can get a vendor to pick up the check!

We were a party of 6 celebrating a milestone birthday. The food was very disappointing for the prices they charge. Only 1 out of 6 of us thought their entree was really good. We did not order red meat so maybe they are better at that There are many other better restaurants in the area that are less expensive but likely not open on a Monday …. Service was good however. They did not offer the celebrant a comped dessert which was surprising

Alex was outstanding as our waitress. When inquiring about a dessert, she brought out an entire platter and described each selection and gave us recommendations on pairing it with drinks. She answered any questions we had on the spot. This was definitely a top favorite dining experience for my husband and I. The food was great. Obviously on the expensive side, but you already know that before walking in if you look at the menu. We were looking for seafood and had the swordfish and seabass and was not disappointed. Thank you Alex for an awesome dinner experience!

Had the ravioli appetizer, it was very delicious. My wife’s filet was absolutely perfect. I had the burger. Disappointed at the amount of bacon pimento cheese on it and couldn’t not taste it, but the beef was cooked perfectly. I’ve had larger burgers for half the price. Not worth $28. Our server was wonderful and fun. They treated us with a free dessert as it was my wife birthday, very kind and thoughtful of the restaurant and server.

One of the worst culinary experiences my fiancee and I have ever had - service was extremely slow (took 10 minutes for the server to come to our table in the first place), and none of the food tasted anywhere near good enough to justify the cost. The pork belly bao bun had an intense vinegar taste, the salad was drastically overpowered by blue cheese, and our entrees were served lukewarm (filet mignon and pan seared duck) with 3 steamed baby carrots topped with pepper flakes on the side. After one bite we told the waitress we were sending the dishes back and desired the check. For reference, I have never before in my life sent any dishes back in my years of fine dining. However a tasteless filet served lukewarm with a side of steamed baby carrots for $66 was enough for me to do so. I do not recommend this restaurant for anyone - it is nowhere near the quality experience the cost demands.

Dinner last night at TWEG was outstanding. We had the sea bass and scallops and pasta and both were delucious as were the shrimp dumplings. Nice reasonably priced French rose and a yummy chocolate tort made it even better. Our waitress was friendly, attentive and was right on track with her menu suggestions. My favorite A2 upscale dining spot.
