Welcome to your new home away from home; a lounge that will transport you to a world of 19th Century English styling, understated elegance and charming home-like comforts. The Wellesbourne was named after a small village near William Shakespeare's hometown of Stratford Upon-Avon and is inspired by the countryside estates and old English manor houses found in the area. All of the paintings, decorative objects, mirrors and even the front door of this stately lounge have been sourced and shipped from England to provide the most authentic experience.

First Time here. Very cool but CRAZY! Figured the place would be pretty quiet on a Thursday night. It was insane! We walked in and searched for a hostess or anyone that worked at the restaurant. A woman approached us but she apparently worked for one of the groups that was having a private event there. We wondered around looking for someone to seat us but could never find anyone. We were fortunate that we found a few seats at the bar so ended up sitting there. Bartender was very cool. Drinks were great. Small plate menu was very limited and at 7:30 they were already out of 3 of the dishes which didn’t leave that many other options. Ordered a few small plates (salmon, prime rib bites, and bacon jalapeño fries.) Food took forever but when it finally came everything tasted great. We had a really nice time so we would go back again but if it’s that crazy and disorganized I’m not sure we would add it to our regular rotation.

The room is fantastic. One of the coolest design jobs I’ve seen around LA. Food is very good, but the menu feels like it needs more consistency with its theme. It’s all good, but all over the place. The cocktail menu is varied and very interesting, but the portions are small and the quality varied from drink to drink.
The type of clientele wasn’t what we were looking for. The crowd was very collegiate and got sloppy enough to start dropping glasses and spilling drinks on my friends.
Overall the place is cool, and I’m hoping the new ownership gives it the fine tuning it needs to really be great.
