The brunch was fantastic as always! Our server, Lanie always provides great service!
Idyllic southern setting for a wonderful meal. I can’t say enough about how excellent the food was. Three friends joined me, we all had something different, and everyone ate every bite. The atmosphere is killer, too. I’m going back next weekend with family b/c now everyone wants to try it.
Only recommendation is to do away with that last table on the front patio that isn’t directly underneath a fan.
Waverly Local was the perfect spot for our Anniversary dinner. The restaurant itself is lovely and comfortable. We enjoyed every dish we ordered but the real standouts were the Mac and Cheese and Cheesecake with Strawberry Champagne Sauce. Portions were generous. Service was attentive but never intrusive.
Always great food. We ordered Mac and cheese and it didn’t come to table until almost finished. That was our only snafu.
Great food and service in a nice place.
The shrimp pasta was absolutely delicious. Others in our party had the fish and steak, and all raved about their entrees. The singer was terrific. We especially liked his singing of Sam Cooke songs.
Food was excellent as always. Loved Daniel Bowden! First time hearing him. Loved the laid-back atmosphere. Will definitely be back!
Wonderful evening and food!
Always a wonderful experience and dinner!
Delicious meal. The quality and experience are worth the price.
Our first visit - great restaurant. Excellent food, service, and ambience. We will be back many times.
We’ve dined at The Waverly Local on numerous occasions and have never been disappointed. The food and service are always excellent. On this visit I had the redfish entree and my husband had the ribeye. Both were delicious!! We also enjoyed the bacon wrapped okra appetizer…sooo good.
Wonderful food, service, and ambiance but VERY expensive. Only a few entrees and all but 1, the hamburger, was over $22. Fish $39. I’d like to go more often but the prices will be a factor for us, especially if we treat our 3 adult kids again. I hope some additional lower-priced items get added to the menu.
The food was great. It took us a little while to get served due to some confusion, but our server was apologetic and prompt after that. We did entrees only, no appetizers or desserts, but both were excellent. And in this weather the front porch provides a comfortable relaxed setting.
Quaint, quiet setting. Delicious food. Menu is limited but good variety. Location is a bit remote, and bar is appealing. Plan responsibly if you drink.
Delicious food, great service, wonderful ambiance.
Great service and wonderful food!
Loved everything about the Waverly Local. The guitar player is great however it was a little loud and had to be moved to a different table.Overall we love the food and the drinks. Will come back every chance we get
After reading all the overwhelming reviews, my wife and I were excited about trying a new dining experience. We made reservations, arrived about 10 minutes early, and were promptly seated. Our table was under an air conditioning vent which dripped on our table. We ordered the French toast as an appetizer. It was great. We ordered our food and it took over an hour for the order to come out. My eggs benedict were way over salted and my wife's eggs and potato casserole were average at best. My grits were phenomenal and my wife loved her bacon. The music was way too loud. You could not have a normal conversation. Because of the loud music everyone was talking way too loud. Overall we were very disappointed with our dining experience. I'm not saying we won't come back. We liked the dinner menu so we may try again. Sorry we had to write a less than spectacular review but I feel we were accurate with our comments. Based on this one experience we would not recommend The Waverly Local to our friends.
Great little place for celebration of daughter b day. Great food and music was good too
Absolutely fantastic brunch time with our kids.
Love the Local. Everything was great. Unfortunately my Red Fish was a thin piece and over cooked so it was dry. Will try something else next time. Still love the place. This is the first time it hadn’t been outstanding!
Terrible service - not enough staff to handle the volume of customers. Half way through the meal before drinks arrived. Fish was dry and came out cold. Steak was good.
Amazing food and service! One of our favorite places!!!
Always love everything about The Waverly Local!!
Great service and food and
All aspects of the dining experience were above and beyond .
Great place to take my girlfriend on a date. Actually saw one of my friends on a date in there too.
Love The Waverly Local! The food is always excellent, and the atmosphere is fun, too.
Sunday Brunch was a wonderful time at The Waverly Local. Delicious food, great service and a little bit of live music was the perfect combination for Brunch.
Brunch with family
The food was good and well presented. The chef was attentive and charming
This is the second time we have gone to the Waverley local and both times have been fantastic
Great ambiance and decor. Loved the prime ribeye - it was phenomenal. Definitely lives up to the hype.
Service was quick, friendly and efficient. Food was great, always a great experience at Waverly Local!
We had a great time. The entree choices were limited, but nevertheless the food was excellent & nicely presented. Very extensive bar menu. Almost a "pub" environment in a very small village, but not far from a large university town.
Our food was outstanding! We had the Burger & Fries and the Waverly Breakfast. We had no complaints about our food. The music was good. I should have reserved a regular table instead of a high-top, was difficult to get close enough to the table.
We love the Waverly Local. We frequent there at least once a week. The brunch on Sundays is ahhhmazing WITH live music. We love the waiters and waitresses and have formed a great relationship with them.
Waverly Local is always a hit! Try the pimento cheese and bread! Yum!!!
