The Waverly Local
Wed–Sat 5:00 pm–10:00 pm
We enjoyed Sunday brunch very much. Food was just right and the wait staff was very attentive.
Great food, service and atmosphere in unique setting.
Our second visit. Great cozy feel. Both pan seared grouper and goat cheese pasta entrees were excellent. Definitely worth the short drive.
Have visited here on several occasions and have never been disappointed. The steaks are wonderful and coconut cake is wonderful.
We enjoyed brunch at Waverly Local this past Sunday. There is an excellent buffet and a nice menu with several omelets and other egg dishes, as well as lunch items. This is a nice place to relax on Sunday mid-day.
Great place to go for great food. Margarita's need help, had to send it back. Overall it's a great place and would definitely go again.
Great food and service! We will go back!
Had the best time at The Waverly Local. Nice place to get out of Auburn for a couple hours!
Waverly Local clearly has one of the best steaks in the South. In addition to the great steaks, we enjoyed our salads. Service was attentive and responsive. Marcus did a great job.
Loved it for Sunday brunch. Five in our party enjoyed their entrees from the menu and one of us had the buffet. Overall an excellent choice and we would def go back.
We enjoyed brunch at the Waverly Local. Service was excellent, as usual. The omelets-Veggie and Hunter’s- were both very good. Great place to have brunch.
The Pork over Collards were awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My family got together for dinner at The Waverly Local. It was fantastic. The menu was focused and allowed us to pick from a few select, local choices that were clearly improved by the focus this allowed the kitchen. This was a special location in both cuisine and ambience.
The food, drink, and service was great! Would definitely recommend this place to friends. It’s worth the drive.
Wonderful destination night out. Menu is wonderful, atmosphere is cozy casual and staff service is excellent.
Cocktails to dessert..... a real delight and treat!
Our dinner was amazing!! The food and cocktails were incredible! If you haven't been you are missing out.....
We had the pleasure of dining with friends for their first time at Waverly Local. The excellent food and the service were everything we told them it would be. We had a very enjoyable evening.
ENJOYED DINNER AND BRUNCH IN SAME WEEK. EXCELLENT SERVICE, FOOD PRESENTATION AND QUALITY. SNAPPER WAS PREPARED PERFECTLY. WE WILL BE BACK. SLIGHTLY OFF THE BEATEN PATH BUT THAT ONLY ADDS TO THE CHARM OF THE PLACE. DON'T MISS THIS EXPERIENCE. GREAT FOOD!!!
Well worth the short trip from Auburn. I enjoyed the snapper. My wife's steak was perfectly cooked to order and she could cut it with a butter knife. We found a couple of excellent wines on the menu that you don't see everywhere. The service was attentive and helpful. Also tried the grilled broccoli and bacon wrapped wickle okra. Everything was great!
Best steak in town. Simple menu. Excellent salad. Dining room is a bit loud with the crowd and live music, but not too bad.
Enjoyed our first time at Waverly! We came in from Auburn and enjoyed the “off the beaten path, quaint” atmosphere. There was live music and it had a very “warm cabin” feel.
Everything was delicious but hands down the best macaroni and cheese I have ever had!! Gotta try the bacon wrapped okra too!!
Good food, drinks, service, ambience in a rural setting. Good variety within small menu. An easy place to frequent.
Food was excellent and waiter (Marcus) was very attentive and responsive. Absolutely enjoyed this gem of a restaurant in the small town of Waverly. Definitely worth the drive.
Sunday brunch was delicious. The grits and collard greens were so good! Spencer, our server, was awesome. Can't wait to go back!
It’s always awesome at The Waverly Local. The waiters/waitresses are extremely good and the food is awesome!
We will definitely be back! Highly recommend!
Waverly Local is a must! Food was phenomenal, cocktails were fantastic and the service was awesome! Cassandra was the best server. We will definitely be coming back!
We tried the Thursday night special- meatloaf with mashed potatoes and greens. Meatloaf was really delicious and the potatoes were tasty. Service was excellent again. Our experience with the whole restaurant has been very satisfying.
We recently dined at Waverly Local for the first time - it won't be the last! We so enjoyed the ribeye steak and goat cheese pasta. Appetizers are amazing and reasonably priced. A great bottle of wine and desserts of coconut cake and cheesecake complimented an excellent meal. I definitely recommend checking this excellent restaurant out as soon as possible!!
Loved the music.
Perfect in every way. Atmosphere was great. We had our first fall night in Alabama, so the doors were open making it one big restaurant. Steak was delicious as was the fish special. I am never disappointed by the coconut cake, perfect way to end dinner.
We were very pleased with our first visit to this restaurant...great food and service!
We tried the Waverly Local's new brunch offerings and they far exceeded our expectations. The restaurant was calm and relaxing with live piano music--perfect for a lazy Sunday morning. The brunch buffet was superb, as well as the service. I would highly recommend The Waverly Local to others.
Food was great and prepared perfectly. Service was immaculate, I can't remember the young lady's name but she was wonderful. We will certainly be back.
We had great service. The pimento cheese was delicious. The grouper special was divine. The ribeye was lacking taste but the horseradish sauce was good. Minimal draft beer selection.
Amazing food. Great outskirts of hustle and bustle location. Can't beat the porch atmosphere! Order the Wickes Okra wrapped in bacon!
Food is always great at Waverly Local. The entrees are done just as ordered, and the appetizers are delicious. I really appreciate the excellent service we receive from the staff. Makes you want to keep coming back.
The Waverly Local is AMAZING. I promise this will be your new favorite restaurant once you try it! It's sort of in the middle of nowhere, but definitely worth the drive. The food, the drinks, the service and the ambiance are all outstanding. And Sunday brunch was phenomenal. Have you ever had a Pabst Blue Ribbon poached egg with crawfish hollandaise on the most delicious homemade biscuit? I didn't think so. It's heaven! Go to the Waverly Local NOW!!!
This is our new favorite restaurant.
Food, Service and Value is Outstanding.
