   Absolutely terrible somm. Not only does he not know his wines, he is incredibly rude and arrogant. He completely ruined my favorite restaurant as someone that frequented often.

   Perfection even on a rainy night on a sidewalk. Thanks to everyone for invisible service, and amazing veal chops .. and the biscuits and butter were dessert. Everything was choreographed as if we were the only guests. Thank you thank you thank you.

   Ordered the pâté as an appetizer, came out frozen, couldn’t spread it. Politely told waiter anddddd...that was the last time we heard from our waiter until he informed us they only accept two cards. Food was horrible, service was worse. Wasted time & money. Pretentiousness doesn’t make you desirable Waverly Inn

   We sat outside on the side street which was quiet and distanced and lovely. Our server was kind, friendly, and helped with recommendations. Checked in on us the perfect amount. The food was delicious all around, although we were hoping for a bit more steak tartare in the steak tartare (it had a lot of delicious onions and capers but they overpowered the meat a bit too much). Oysters were fresh and delicious, and the cocktails were excellent.

   The setting of this restaurant is amazing - love dining with the picturesque streetscape of the West Village being the view. However that’s where the storybook experience ends. The service was subpar (person seating everyone was a tad rude) and the food was overpriced and mediocre at best. Go if you want the setting but don’t be disappointed with the rest.

   Went on a Saturday afternoon and sat outside on the outdoor dining on the street. Ordered the burger without the dijonnaise. When received the dijonnaise was on the burger. Returned and was told they had not put the dijonnaise on there. I checked a second time and it was on the bottom. Sent back a second time. They took back and made the burger again. By then the rest of my group had already finished eating. Once I received the burger it was very good.
