We specifically asked for a table inside and were seated outside. It was COLD. They have a beautiful outdoor tented area that doesn't have any heaters. I had to keep my jacket on for the entire meal. The waitress had little to no personality and the food was acceptable. The only reason to go here is for the view, which is amazing!

Great view of the bridge. We were in the outside / tent dining area and it was pretty cold at night. I don't know why they don't have heaters near more tables.

I ordered the sea Bass and it didn't even taste like it had salt and pepper (ok maybe a little) but pretty bland.

The rest of the food was kind of average (at best) and for 3 of us it came to about $200.00 so it's about what you'd expect price wise for a 'high end' restaurant.

Really enjoyed the experience sitting with a view of the Bay bridge. The bread was nice and warm, clam chowder was tasty, sea bass was good! Service was great.

This place had a fixed menu with seafood options and 2 non seafood options. My wife told the server that she does not eat seafood and she would like the lamb. I wasn’t ready and he said he would come back and take our order. He then doesn’t return until 25 minutes later. Instead of apologizing for forgetting about us he takes our order and says that since WE took so long to order they ran out of the lamb. We were then forced to get the steak option that was an extra $25 on top of the $95 person rate. Worst service and biggest waste of my money. $240 down the drain. Don’t waste your time or money, it’s not worth the price.

Really bad all the way around. Went here on accident for Valentine’s Day (mistook it for far superior Waterbar). $95 per person Pre fix menu and the food was basic, boring and bland. Service was subpar to the point where no one either noticed or cared that neither I nor my date ate 75% of the meal. Total bill $380 with drinks and I swear I would have preferred McDonalds.

We had dinner on a Sunday evening, and the restaurant was quiet. Our server, Josef, was very nice and accommodating. Each of us had seafood: Sea Scallops that came with salad-like greens, Petrale Sole with mashed potatoes, along with mixed green salads, and a side of sweet potato fries. Each very good and satisfying. We love the view of the Bay Bridge with its lights glistening on the bay!

Everything was great but we were seated in the tented area and it was cold in there...never took my down coat off ( very windy cool day ). Would recommend more standing heaters , next to tables.

We were very disappointed that after having made a reservation some time in advance, and requesting a table by the waterfront, we were shown, after a short wait, to a table in the rear by the waiters station. When we asked for a change they took us upstairs where there were several large noisy parties.
After another short wait we were seated in the back of the main dining room. It was pretty chilly with just plastic sheeting over the windows.
The food was fine but we have no intention of returning any time soon.

We were in San Francisco from Santa Fe, NM to celebrate our Anniversary over a 6 night period and remembered how much we had enjoyed the Waterfront Restaurant on previous visits to the City, so we decide that it was one of our top places we wanted to go back to. Everything about our meal, from our stop at the bar and enjoying talking with the bartender to the meal of sea bass and scallops, the wine, the great waitress and the fabulous view, were all outstanding. We highly recommend the Waterfront Restaurant to anyone desiring a good meal and a "not to forget" atmosphere.

The food flavor should be a little more conservative meaning a more sensitivity on flavoring. The bread doesn’t need to have salt in it.

We were visiting San Francisco as a tourist and find this restaurant to try. Paid around 270 USD including tips and taxes for 2 adult and 1 kid. Restaurant also take around 240 USD provision from credit card which is not released after 6days by now.

Valet parking is available with a cost around 12 USD.

Service is nice and they are very friendly. Making reservation from open table was excellent. Restaurant reserved a table just in front of the windows.

Service was attentive and friendly. My partner ordered the tuna tartare and baked stuffed Bronzino and was very pleased. My mussels were on the undercooked side and the sauce needed quite a bit of salt but was otherwise tasty. My main, the daily special, was a disappointment. It was described as baked salmon on a butternut squash purée and fresh asparagus, with a frisée salad. It seemed like a child's portion when it arrived, with a tiny serving of salmon on 4 baby asparagus stalks, with a thin drying puddle of squash underneath and a few sprigs of frisée on top. The salmon was mushy and didn't have a lot of taste. We shared the Nutella pie, which was very good.

One particular annoyance was receiving a "no-show" email from open table the next morning, saying that I had failed to honor my reservation. I had carefully checked in with the hostess when I arrived to make sure she found the reservation.

So overall a mixed experience but I would definitlely give them another try.

We chose this restaurant for a view of the bay. We arrived at 5:30. We were seated upstairs with a beautiful view of the Lighted Bay Bridge. Good idea to request upstairs when you make you reservation. I had cedar blank cooked Salmon. It had a nice glaze and thought it was delicious. My wife had the filet of sole and was not overly impressed. She thought it was dry and sauce was to bland.

Went for my wife’s birthday and a close couple whose wife was also having her birthday. We were seated soon after arrival in the covered patio area with the most beautiful view of the bay. Appetizers of shrimps were delicious. The salmon special of the day was delicious, which 3 of us ordered; the other person ordered swordfish which he enjoyed immensely. It is a wonderful place for that special occasion!
