It is a great location on Lake Okoboji! We were seated outside. Had cocktails and dinner. Very good. Relaxing dinner. Holly was our server. She was very knowledgeable about the menu.

We are traveling and decided to give this a try. Sadly it was chilly and windy so outside seating was not appealing. Ordered the pesto cheese bread, it was delicious. Glad we waited to order dinner as we were pretty full after that, and opted for a sandwich/salad. Waiter, Isiah was amazing, fun, and attentive!! Heard it was our anniversary and brought an amazing dessert…sadly we were too full to enjoy much of it. Would definitely come here again if in the area

We were here on the evening of our 5Oth wedding anniversary. We had a wonderful table near the lake. Our server Courtney was very pleasant and efficient. Our meals were excellent. We had the Smores for desert and the plate had an anniversary greeting. It was a perfect night for us.

Great service, lovely restaurant, most of the food was good but our expensive Walleye Dinners were bad. Extremely fishy and salty. Manager was very kind: gave us $100 in gift cards. Hoping for a better experience next time. We have been here in the past and it was outstanding! However not sure I can recommend it at this time.

We had a great time. Celebrating my wife’s birthday. She loved her prime rib. Garlic mashed was great. Our server was amazing. She also surprised us at the end with two big plates of cake decorated with “happy birthday” and “dirty 30” she really went above and beyond without being asked.

It was the big weekend up here so I feel kind of bad posting this but it was just very very average. My food took forever. There was a lot of people there granted, but a little disappointed. My steak was medium, not medium rare and the rice was dry like it had been sitting forever.

Beautiful evening and dining outside couldn't have been better until our food arrived. Our meals were cold and my bone in pork chop was raw & our sides were cold to the touch on both of our plates. Our waitress was apologized and let us know the kitchen was discussing our meals and was surprised the raw pork and cold sides were not caught at the pass. She offered to re-fire but it took so long for our waitress to return my wife had finished her meal for quite some time and we were ready to go. I realize Restaurants have bad days but the manager never bothered to come out and talk with us and this is unacceptable. It was not our waitress fault and I tipped generously but I'm having remorse since the bill was nearly $100 and I have not eaten... Helpful 0 Thanks 0 Love this 0 Oh no 0

Just a brief review. Our reservations were for a Saturday night at 6:30. We were greeted and seated timely, and our drinks came out on time and well made. The salads were fine. The entrees arrived, and that's where things broke down. A steak ordered "medium plus" arrived cooked to "old saddle leather." The waitress offered to replace it with the ominous warning that "it could take a while, we're getting busy." My wife made a game attempt at eating what was served, but its food value had long expired, so it was left mostly uneaten. A glass of wine ordered to be enjoyed with the entree arrived with the now complementary and long delayed dessert. By the time the check arrived, we felt as if we had been held hostage in a bad Denny's. Remembering that one is in Okoboji in the off-season, Waters Edge Grille is a perfectly adequate restaurant. However, well-run establishments don't overwhelm their kitchens and their wait staffs. They limit their reservations to match their capacity. Further, well-run establishments know how to remedy a kitchen error with alacrity.

I would recommend Waters Edge but they did not have our reservation that I made thru open table. My reservation confirmation number was 2109786552. Since they couldn’t find my reservation we had to wait over an hour for a table for two. This greatly diminished our experience since we had other plans after dinner. I have used open table before without any issues so this surprised me.

Our waitress was wonderful! Friendly, helpful and patient with us. When she found out we were celebrating our parents' 60th Anniversary, she surprised them with a complimentary dessert, complete with writing around the plate in raspberry sauce and two glasses of champagne. Very sweet - and much appreciated on our special family night out!

Dined on a busy holiday week-end. We were greeted and seated promptly, but took a long time to see a server. When we did the service was courteous and prompt. My husband had the baseball sirloin which was tender and flavorful. I had the Parmesan encrusted wall eye, which also was very good. The entrees are ala carte which quickly adds to overall cost . The room was a little noisy, but we were able to carry on a conversation. There is a beautiful view of the lake. I would go back, and would recommend

Ordered walleye and told waiter it was not good and did not taste well. He asked my husband what he thought of it; as if my comment was not valid. He later offered to bring something else. Ordered a Beet salad. Was basically 1/2 bag of spring greens mix with about 6 mandarin oranges on the side, some sprinkles of goat cheese, a smattering of walnuts and few slices of beets. Dressing was good. Seriously, basically a bag of lettuce. Restaurant had been recommended to us; what a letdown.

The calamari was awful!!!! Greasy and over fried in a horrible seasoning. Tough as leather. The manager replaced with a different appetizer that was O K. The walleye was very good and the duck was top notch, especially the sauce. The highlight of the evening was our waitress Alix! She was fabulous!

We went to celebrate my parents 61st anniversary. The seating was lakeside. The weather was great, wonderful views. Service was outstanding. Food was great. Overall, a wonderful experience. We have never had bad service or a bad meal here.

We got there and were tried to be seated at a table for 6 and we had reservations for 7, food took more then an hour, order was wrong, food was ice cooked and burnt. We have. $210 tab and I had asked twice to talk to manager. It wasn’t until after we paid I finally was able to talk to him. In my opinion the service was poor, management had no control over the quality and the price for what we received was over priced. I will never return. Funny thing is we weren’t the only table with issues.

We made an online reservation and that was very convenient and got seated quickly once there, but there wasn't much great after that. The service was excellent, but the food left a lot lacking. 4 of us ordered steak, 2 medium and 2 medium rare, and they all came out at a different level of done. The medium rares were both barely rare, and the mediums were both cooked differently, one more medium and one what would be considered medium rare. Considering the steaks were $30 and up, I was hoping to have a great steak. After sending it back to be cooked more, I finally got to eat it more how I liked, and it was one of the most bland steaks I've ever had. All I could taste was the char of the grill, and almost no seasoning. Spent $38 on a 14oz ribeye and it tasted like something I could have spent $10 on. 2/5
