Excellent food! Everything was cooked to perfection! We had a very nice table with a view of the water. Truly memorable.
Our server was top notch. You could tell she really loves her job and taking care of guests. The manager was super friendly and accommodating. Hidden gem for sure. Get the clams!
Amazing food and service, very friendly staff. Outstanding
Our experience at the waters edge restaurant was fantastic. The Manager was professional and polite. Our waitress Mackenzie was extremely knowledgeable on the menu and the specials. All of the employees when they passed our table asked if everything was ok, even the Bartender came to our table to see how everything was going. We can’t wait to go back!!!!
I was so excited to visit this restaurant because I have such nice memories of Memorytown from when I was younger. I was impressed with the size and decor of the restaurant. Our server was wonderful but unfortunately the food was disappointing. I ordered the soup of the day which was described more like a beef stew but tasted like Campbell’s out of a can. The sirloin steak and potatoes arrived slightly warm, more on the cold side. We sat by the window which looked pretty but it was extremely cold. I left with my feet feeling frozen. Not comfortable at all. Maybe better in the summer with some menu changes.
This was my 1st time here and I have to say it was an outstanding experience. I had one of the best Old Fashions drink I have ever had. Done properly with muddled fruit as opposed to liqueurs using top shelf bourbon. We started off with their signature Potato soup and I had the "soup of the moment" which happened to be steak and potato. Absolutely fresh and delicious. We had the NY strip and Filet Mignon as entrees which were cooked to perfection and paired with their "Smashed Potatoes". I would be remiss if I did notention the warm welcome we received when being seated at the lakefront tables. Our server was Amber and she was so very friendly and informative. She was very attentive and we never wanted for anything. A real class act. We will be going again and I highly recommend.
Many thanks to the staff for making my wife’s birthday a classy and memorable experience. Unique and tasteful cocktails and entrees are well worth the trip if you are not local to the area.
What a lovely evening we had. We've frequented Memorytown for over 30 years and it's truly remarkable the difference in the Tavern. It has to be seen to believe. Everything was perfect from the wait staff, the food and the ambience. We shared a ceaser salad, possibly the best I've ever had, we both had the chicken, again super delicious, moist yet crispy, and the smashed potatoes were to die for. This is our new favorite restaurant, so much better than The Chop House. The service was great, granted it wasn't crowded but our waitress was attentive without being annoying and we were thanked for coming in by the guy behind the bar. The prices were fair and reflected the product. I will definitely encourage all my friends to give it a try.
This is my favorite restaurant from now on. The food was done perfectly, me and my wife came from New Jersey and we had a feeling this restaurant was going to be the best one in P.A.
Highly recommend! Great food and excellent service! We will absolutely be back! We are from NYC and it was great to find such great cuisine near our vacation home!
New Years Eve with our family of 4
The food was amazing. My Filet was cooked perfectly. Definitely would recommend this place.
The baked potato soup and the crispy half chicken were delicious. The waitstaff were great. My ahi tuna was ok, the bok Choi I subbed was really good. I would say stick with more traditional meals bc those were fantastic. Also, I was sad there were no specials.
Great spot on a lake with vaulted ceilings and a fireplace. Attentive but not overbearing service. Delicious food.
This restaurant was a lovely surprise. I’ve been going to the Poconos for years, and I knew about Memory Town,, but I didn’t know there was a restaurant there. I found it online and it lived up to all of the good reviews. It’s a beautiful restaurant, with a lovely fireplace and very nice ambiance. The bar is gorgeous. The staff was very nice and attentive, and the food was delicious. We definitely will be coming back here again!
Excellent in every way. Food well prepared and presented by attentive staff. Warm ambiance convenient to the rt. 611 but not on it.
Excellent food, I recommend the skillet Mac and cheese for an appetizer, the half chicken for dinner and the Mason jar cheesecake for desert. Clean and quiet, great for a date night.
Food was very good and priced appropriately. I would recommend this restaurant when traveling in the area. Location was a bit obscure. It was dark and could not see any signage. Had to walk up to front door where there was a menu taped to the door with the restaurant name.
The food was so delicious! We shared the New York strip and baked Mac n cheese! It was so good! The ambiance was romantic and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this place!
Memorytown was so charming and the pork belly appetizer was outstanding. We can’t wait to go back for brunch sometime!
Enjoyed our dining experience. First time going. Will go back
We were here once - last year - they renovated the restaurant, hired a new chef, overhauled the menu. BIG difference.
The food was delicious. Parmesan Risotto excellent. Our waiter was exceptional, extremely attentive, professional and friendly. However we waited FOREVER for our food! And I had to have them reheat my plate because my food was cold when it came out. Definitely need more help in the kitchen. But I did enjoy the meal.
We had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and Rob, our server, went out of his way to make us feel special. We saw him do the same to other customers as well. Highly recommend!
Very impressive, caught us by surprise, hope this is here for a long time.
Everybody was friendly and welcoming, and the lake was a lovely view. That’s about it for the positives. The negatives: the kitchen was glacially slow and the food it produced was subpar to say the least. Overcooked mussels in a tomato / butter sauce that just did not work. Tuna tartar that was soggy and tasteless. Rubbery and underseasoned monkfish. Duck and accompanying risotto were fine, as was one kid’s order of chicken fingers (although messing up kid’s chicken fingers would surely be difficult to do). Definitely did not live up to the OpenTable rating.
Fantastic food, view and service! Couldn't have asked for a better experience
Went on a Saturday, two couples. First impression was the authentic rustic look. Open space with just enough lighting, nice layout, long windows looking out over the lake, which we only glimpsed as it grew dark, but then spots of colored lights showed up making it pleasant and fun to look out on. When we sat down, next thing we realized was the music (single guitarist/singer) was just loud enough that we had to shout to each other. This is the only reason for my 4-stars. The performer was good and had a nice repertoire, but we all agreed the volume was just outside our comfort range.
To a person, the staff were extraordinarily attentive and solicitous, several of them checking in with us throughout the evening to make sure we were happy with everything. Our server was especially pleasant and eager to please us.
And finally, the food - overall outstanding! All four of us, and we are very seasoned diners, declared our meals excellent in every way. We only did entrees. They were: Steak Seared Ahi Tuna Steak; Roasted Half Chicken; and Prince Edward Isle Mussels. Our sides included roasted broccoli and carrots, and caramelized Brussel sprouts.
We can't wait to go back and try the rest of their offerings.
Pretty place, high ceilings, beautiful bar and fireplace, probably great water views in daytime. Service a little slow, we expect and don't mind that in understaffed covid world. Roasted chickpeas brought out gratis with cocktails, very good. Mac n Cheese appetizer, rich, creamy, delicious, Summer Bounty Salad, very good, fresh ingredients, light vinaigrette , only fault, I think corn was canned/frozen. A Summer Bounty Salad ought to have fresh corn, and grilled corn add a great flavor.
Special Bouillabaisse Entree was $39!!, great broth flavor, lotsa bones in the bass and overcooked lobster tails and shrimp, scallops perfect.
Salmon was sauteed perfectly, crispy edges, sat on chickpea salad which was quite spicy from sriracha(did not see that on menu).
Owner was very helpful with a beer selection. Will go back and try other menu items
This was a great experience, atmosphere, food and service.
We definitely recommend and would definitely return.
Great experience, delicious food and drinks. However music volume was way too loud for the otherwise picturesque atmosphere.
Once again, we had a wonderful dining experience at The Water's Edge at Memorytown. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Very nice experience. Excellent food, service and ambiance and the musician was great playing live music during dinner. Will dine here again! Lighting on the lake so you could see it at night would be an awesome addition.
The food... Oh man, the food. Everything we tried was exceptional. Perfectly matched, expertly seasoned, and beautiful to look at. The service was prompt and friendly and the atmosphere was cozy and relaxing. The entire experience was exceptional. Do not pass it up if you're in the area.
Good food, good service and a feeling of being appreciated as a customer!
Amazing food- hidden gem with lake view, live music and incredible menu
Everything we ate was superb! We had the clams in lager herb butter as appetizer - the sauce was amazing! We also had the seafood bisque which was delicious. For main course we had Ahi Tuna and Filet mignon - everything was cooked to perfection and the flavorings of all the sides were amazing. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. And what a lovely view.
Will absolutely return.
A hidden gem with wonderfully delicious food and excellent service.
Beautiful view, wonderful service and tasty food. Will be returning in a few weeks, reservation made! Good luck 🍀
