The service wasn’t great, but the food was good and it was a great atmosphere for date night.
Food was average at best. Service was fine but honestly the food sucked. Better options exist

The food was delicious! We had a group of 7, who mainly ordered entrees—garlic shrimp, brick chicken, pork loin—all said it was excellent! We were seated in a cozy corner and, at the last minute, we had to rush to make showtime. The staff and kitchen were very accommodating and we made it with time to spare!
I absolutely LOVE the Warren. This is our go-to restaurant, my friends and I always order vodka gimlets and our usual shared apps. The food, the ambiance and the vibe of this place is top notch, and I'm not exaggerating.
Fabulous food. Fabulous service. The server recommended delicious plates we might not have otherwise chosen. The Warren is a place to expand your tastes because everything is excellent! It was also packed on a Saturday night without feeling noisy. We had no trouble conversing yet enjoyed the vibe of a full house. Absolutely try this little gem!
Great food, drinks and vibe
Lively place and quite cosy, however the noise levels would have drowned out a Jumbo jet, mainly due to 3 small ladies who screamed at each other. The plates are saucer size which is very weird as it isn’t a Tapas bar although our food was very well prepared and presentation good and tasted lovely.
This place is way too small for how many tables they have. Our reservation was late, and they made us move tables halfway through our meal. Food was slow and portions were small for the price. It was impossible to move around the restaurant because all the spaces to walk were barely wide enough for one person and the kitchen pickup window was in the middle meaning there was almost always staff standing there. We were blocking another table in with ours and had to get up so someone could get up to go to the bathroom. I feel bad for the people that work there, it is ridiculous how small it is.

The kind of storefront neighborhood joint you look into on a frosty evening and feel envious of those laughing and toasting inside. Super cute. Very lively. Noise in the bar was unpleasantly loud but in the back corner where we were seated for dinner, it was tolerably loud. I must thank the reservationist and host for seating us when two of our party of 4 arrived 20 mins before our reservation. Very few NYC restaurants will make that accommodation but she did and we appreciated it immensely and ordered two rounds of drinks and some deviled eggs in gratitude while waiting for our friends. The food was better than okay, but it was not wow. The deviled eggs were heavy on the dijon and light on the mayo, and a very uncomplicated recipe, but you can't dislike a deviled egg. The beet salad was an interesting interpretation, with a goat cheese mousse under thick slabs of colorful beets. I liked it, but the cheese was just unnecessary calories serving as paste to hold the beet slices on the plate. They didn't add any salty or pungent flavor to the dish (which wasn't very salad like.) I ordered grilled salmon without the sweet dipping sauce and without the rice-tots, which I'm sure would have been delicious. The salmon was fine. Not fishy in flavor (a very good thing.) The serving was about 4 oz of thin salmon, not a robust steak of grilled salmon. The accompanying broccolini was perfectly cooked and flavored with a vinegary dressing that was unexpected and a bit jarring with the flavor of the salmon. The burger is a smallish but very thick patty inside a huge bun smeared heavily with a roasted onion confit that is too sweet and tastes charred at the same time. For my husband this onion jam (which he normally likes) ruined the simplicity of a well-made burger. He set the bun aside and ate his burger (cooked to the right temperature) with a knife and fork. Great ambiance, good wine, comfortable menu. The creativity in the kitchen wasn't to our taste. Maybe you'll like it.
A great place for brunch, although it looks like it would be a fun dinner place as well. I'm going back just to try the punch.
It was not at all crowded (maybe not the most popular brunch spot - but the food is worth going for) but the noise level was surprisingly loud. Not too bad, but if it had been busier, I think it would have been really loud.
I had the twice-fried chicken benedict and it was delicious! Interestingly enough, no sweets on the brunch menu (waffles, french toast, etc.) But we were all satisfied with our menu options and had a hard time deciding. Everyone enjoyed their food.
Tasty food and nice quaint space. The service could have been better, we were one of only 2 tables and hardly approached to see if we needed more drinks.
Been coming here many, many times since opening night. Always good to excellence. This time I brought 4 other people to brunch at opening time. Food and drink were super, as usual. Service was less than expected because there was only one person working and she seemed to have to be host and server.
Music was too loud.
Of course, I will return: best burger, twice-fried chicken and poutine in NYC!
I did a lot of research to find a place to go with a former colleague who is both cheap and a picky eater. The Warren came up tops in my search and was really a winner.
First off, the food was great. My first requirement was that the place have a burger, because that's something I knew he'd eat. I liked the description of the Warren burger, the onion jam and choice of cheeses put it at the top of my list. Next, since his fallback when being dragged out to dinner was a salad, I wanted a place that had something vegetarian on the menu that I knew I'd like, and the Shishito peppers fit the bill. I had to twist his arm to try one, but he perked up and we went 50-50 on the rest. They were great, nicely salted, the peppers were mild but they had a lot of flavor.
I had the mushroom flatbread, which was full of things I like: mushrooms, truffled oil, an egg hiding under a ton of cheese. It was really good, but I wish I'd ordered the burger, which was made to perfection; my pal ordered the gruyere version, which is probably the way to go, the cheese went perfectly with the tasty and well-cooked patty, and then the onion jam provided just the right note of sweetness without being sugary. I had the Bronx IPA, which, fortunately, isn't really an IPA (true IPAs are the blandest beer this side of mass-produced domestic), and then we were floored by the $46 check for all of that. They have a $10 special on the (usually $25) burger all night on Monday and the shishitos were only $8 instead of $13. I'd go back any night for full price, but my cheapskate friend who nonetheless insists on splitting the bill was flabbergasted. I left the waitress, who was pleasant and efficient, a good cash tip, because, really, I hadn't even looked at the specials.
The space is tiny (super convenient to the Christopher Street Path train if Jersey or Herald Square is in your travel plans), but wasn't terribly noisy. It was mostly empty when we got there at 6, people came in by 7.
Very busy even later at night.
The food was very good but over priced, relatively. Service was poor. All things considered, I wouldn’t return.

We were there for the happy hour. We got two orders of the deviled eggs and one order of the shishito peppers. Both were really good, but the deviled eggs were really, really flavorful. I’d highly recommend both, but especially the eggs.
Our server was just excellent. I had an excellent roasted beet salad that I’d go back for again.
The service was good but there was no AC, and there was very little food in the plates, even if I have to say that the food was good. The restaurant is very noisy and everyone is queuing for the restroom and it’s not nice when you have the table next to them!
Consistently very good--unusual in a very popular place. Special props to the bartender. Wait-service is moderately attentive--not very, but as long as we get our orders in time to make the theater curtain, I suppose I shouldn't complain. My hamburger could have been closer to what I asked for (extremely rare), as the server assured me it would be. It wasn't, but luckily not so overcooked that I wouldn't eat it. Good enough--but not fabulous. On my first visit here, it was perfect.
Food was excellent. Servers were very nice. Just the wait time of food was quite long. At least a half hour. That being said, definitely a good value and a great place to go.

The food was decent, but some of the portions were small and this place was just way too loud! I went with my family and we could not hear each other even though we were shouting.
The best place for GNO or a couple. Nice set up. Good food. No complaints at all :).

Food was ok but the fried chicken for over $20.00 was not even a breast and the restaurant had no milk for coffee which we found very strange. Definitely not going to be back.

While the food tasted good, the whole menu was overpriced. they also don't tell you that Happy Hour is ONLY at the bar, so I made a reservation for happy hour and was informed that I couldn't order from the Happy hour menu. Makes no sense seeing as there are only a handful of chairs at the bar, while the restaurant has many tables.
I chose this restaurant for its proximity to the Lucille Lortel Theater, where we had theater tickets -- and for its reasonable prices. Was not disappointed on either count. The Warren turned out to be attractive in decor & a hive of activity, with mostly younger diners/drinkers, and a deafening decibel count -- even though we were seated at the very back, and surrounded by the few empty tables. Food very trendy with vegetarian meatballs and the occasional vegan entry. Entrees more than I wanted to pay, so I settled for a $25 hamburger -- which came with a mountain of fries & frisse (sp?) lettuce & though not as cooked as I wanted it, very tasty & (with all the fries) quite an adequate dinner (for a female, anyhow). High point was the service, by a waiter named David, who was endlessly patient with us three older ladies, especially the other two who asked a lot of questions and were very particular with their selections.
Everything was good except the octopus, which was rubbery and dry. We explained to our server why we didn’t eat it. She seemed to not care. We probably should’ve spoken with the manager. Perhaps an acknowledgment would’ve been more appropriate. Otherwise she was very pleasant.
The food is excellent. The bar can be loud so if you want an intimate dinner ask for a table in the back when you make the reservation .
First-time visit for all three of us; we all agreed that it will not be our last. What a happy surprise! I was a little frustrated by the length of time it took to get our meals, as we had put in our orders well before the place got crowded, which it did--so reservation seem to be essential. The wait-staff could not have been nicer, more pleasant, or more helpful. Props to all. We deliberately didn't order appetizers because they looked almost like meals and we wanted to save room for the meal--but we really did have to wait a long-ish time for that meal. That said, it was worth the wait when it arrived, but I'd refer not to devour my food out of desperation--or inebriation (the drinks are large and potent; need food to offset the booze on an otherwise empty stomach)! Maybe bar snacks next time.
Great ambiance and variety of food to choose from. Space is a bit cramped (have to be careful anywhere you are walking) but very cute inside. I had a 7:15 reservation and got seated right away. Service was great (despite getting one of the cheese selections wrong). It was my second time here and I would go back for some of the specials
This is a very nice small Village restaurant. On Friday evening, when we were there it gets rather busy and partly due to the small size of the place, the service may have suffered a bit from that with some slightly abrupt clearing of dishes. However the food was very good but also, probably because it was Friday evening, the bar was pretty noisy. Nevertheless, I would return here as the food is very good and I am sure on a quieter night the service would be fine.
Food was subpar at best, got the Hangover Cure which is Pork Belly hash but couldn’t find or taste the Pork Belly.
Small neighborhood space with lots of tempting offers. Since we enjoy small plates, we went that way. All were tasty, fresh and balanced. These included deviled eggs, spring rolls, shishito peppers (a large portion), beet salad. Good options for meat eaters and vegetarians. Decent, though not inexpensive wine list. Small table for 2 made space tight for the plates. The tables were also quite close contributing to noise level; tables for 4 are louder than tables for two.
