The Warren, a gastropub serving unique takes on classic dishes, is a mainstay of the West Village food scene. A full bar with inventive cocktails, comprehensive wine program and craft beers compliment cuisine served late into the night.

Atmosphere and cocktails are much better than the actual food. Food is good, not great, and given the price points of high 20s to low 30s for small entrees its a bit disappointing. Ink pasta was overcooked and under seasoned. Salmon was well done which kinda ruined it. Side dishes were tiny. Cocktails were excellent. Net net: have a drink and go somewhere else for dinner.
Great service, attentive without being annoying, accommodated our growing party.
One of several cute places in the West Village. Food selection is fun and reasonably priced (by Manhattan standards) although a soda water from the gun will cost you 4$ which is pretty absurd.
Food was stellar. The pork belly was incredible and the poutine and burrata were also awesome. My friend and I split a bunch of the small plates and bites so we could try more and since the entrees were a bit pricey. Overall great, fun atmosphere and incredible food.
Great atmosphere even better food!
Great spot for sharing plates and good vibes.
5 for 60th birthday dinner. Started with 6 oysters (classic preparation, shucked perfectly), chicken liver fois gras with fig jam (creamy, very flavorful - need more toast points!), short rib poutine (yummy), and twice fried chicken (so crispy and the aioli was the perfect spicy accompaniment). Split two salads - the strawberry spring salad (delicate greens and goat cheese, nicely dressed), the burrata (delicious!). Unfortunately, they were out of the crispy pork belly - I honestly think we would have ordered one for each of us! Mains: Warren burger (perfectly medium rare, juicy while crispy on the outside), blue crab gnocchi (very generous portion, creamy sauce, gnocchi perfectly cooked), brick chicken (crispy, crispy skin and moist interior, lots of potatoes), grilled hangar steak (beautifully medium rare with crispy artichokes). Everything was super delicious and the staff were kind enough to bring the birthday "boy" a chocolate cake with a candle. Terrific meal!
Heat wave going on in NYC and it was a bit warm in the back where we were sitting but not anyone's fault. Definitely will return!
Brunch fir gay pride was great here! Terrific staff & food!
Always love it! Been going there for years. Twice fried chicken is always a winner!
Great food and service, despite it being absolutely busy and at full capacity.
The Warren is our favorite neighborhood restaurant. I could eat here every day! Love their weekday specials and fun chalk art on their welcome board outside!
Overall, I gave a good rating. The food is delicious. Only things I'd point out are, I asked for lemon a few times and they kept forgetting, finally got it after the 3rd ask. The apps came fast but the main course took forever. Also, it was really hot in there. I saw the AC was on but everyone was literally sweating. Overall though, I'd come in the fall and enjoy the food then. LOL
Father’s Day brunch was just perfect. The food was delicious and server was wonderful. Only issue was that the restaurant was very loud (but people are excited to be out and about after the Covid restrictions have been lifted).
Everything was excellent. Rarely do you find such attentive and friendly service and the brunch was also excellent. We will be going back again and again...
Amazing dinner. Randomly picked the Warren for dinner based on location and reservation availability. We couldn’t have be more pleased with the service, the great menu and quality of the food. Highlights included the deviled eggs, shrimp tacos and hamburger.
THE BRUSSELS SPROUTS!!!
OH MY GOD, THE BRUSSELS SPROUTS!!!
My friend and I enjoyed everything we had. The deviled eggs have a nice subtle kick. The pork belly was perfect. The mushroom flatbread was the right blend of crispy, gooey, and flavorful.
Service was excellent!!!
And THE BRUSSELS SPROUTS!!! Best I’ve EVER had!
It was rather hot inside, recommend they turn up the AC and the table was pretty scrunched.
The menu wasn't very extensive and the food was a bit overpriced. However, the staff was very friendly and the service was efficient.
Love Love Love… everything about this place … it’s quit cozy and small the hostess and waitress Ashley was amazing … everything on the menu is delicious.
Food was great, a bit noisy and crowded. Would recommend
Everything was absolutely wonderful! Best girls night out in a long time
Very rude waitstaff. Over 90 min wait for overpriced food. 20% gratuity was included despite horrid service. This place is a skip, not worth the headache
Food was incredible! Small place, cute, great area!
I loved the truffle Mac and cheese and the suzie q is a strong cocktail! Get the cheesecake!
Seating was a bit close, but we have our vaccines, which have to count for something...
They were super nice when our 3rd person was very late and we said he might not make it. Tho we were only two at first, they gave us a table for 4 on Mother's Day, which was great and let us just order appetiziers while we waited for my son. When my son finally showed up, we all ordered together. Food was good. Service was very friendly and attentive. Food was a bit slow coming out of the kitchen but i put that down to reopening jitters and possible lack of sufficient kitchen staff. Cute ambiance in a great West Village location just off the corner of Christopher and Hudson. Would recommend.
My friend & I had dinner there on a Saturday night. The restaurant was busy and it felt very pre-Covid. The noise in the venue is very high. Not for anyone wanting an intimate conversation.
The food is decent, the menu has good fair I had their brick chicken for a main it was ok. Not the best I have ever had but it was ok.
The wine selection was decent, their reserve Malbec was worth having. Regrettably the toilet broke, so that was not ideal however that can happen.
Such a cozy and intimate spot! We went for dinner and got to sit at the bar which ended up being great. Sitting right in front of the bartender ended up out weighing the 5-10 minute wait for our table to open up and we were happy with our decision. Food was amazing, the "meatballs" were perfect and the entrees were just as good. Highly recommend, especially for a date night or a smaller gathering as it is a smaller space and can get loud but nothing overbearing.
We were greeted warmly by hostess and sat at a great table. The food was favorful and well prepared. The biggest concern I had was the combination of cost with the level of service. While the waitress was nice, she was clearly struggling with too many tables. We were seated at 7:30 and did not get out of restaurant until 10 without dessert. She forgot to add chicken to our salads so the rest of the table was served food while 2 people waited for chicken on the salad. This messed up wine pairings because the chicken took 20 extra minutes and the wine was gone before food arrived. We weren’t charged for the chicken but nothing else was done for the table other than a brief apology. We were charged an automatic 20% gratuity with an 18% meal tax. The overall cost of the meal would have been acceptable had it been paired with good service but instead the experience felt jilted and underwhelming. I would not recommend because I think a bit more could have been done on the customer service side. Perhaps offering a free dessert or additional glass of wine might have just gone a long way to compensate for a mistake. Mistakes happen, but the quality of a restaurant to me is how does the staff take care of it.
This extremely small dining spot located between the PATH station on Christopher and Hudson Street has done well during the pandemic with the addition of about 5 "outdoor tables". The place is packed on the weekend with a boisterous lively crowd packed in every corner. While the menu is limited the attention to fresh ingredients and creative dishes is very good. The black kale salad comes covered with grated cheese and one can't compare it to a Greenwich Ave. establishment that has a similar salad called Chrysanthemum; both are fabulous The flatbread with mushrooms was delicious and their twice-fried chicken is a clever take on chicken nuggets. The cocktails were innovative and looked good but the glass of wine was a meager pour. Overall a good quick meal and get out.
Great date night ; food service ambience on target !
Delicious food, kind and helpful service! It's one of my favourite spots for brunch. The menu offers a lot of variety so there's something for everyone and the brunch drink prices can't be beat.
Open table lied about the happy hour. Open table said there were specials that were 8 items for 8 dollars Monday through Friday until 8pm and that was not the case. Disappointed
The food and drinks where great. Reservation was on time. What a great team of employees. Well done! Will be back
Just an all around really good restaurant. Great menu with good variety of choices, nice cocktails, fun vibe, and good service!
We had reservations for a Thursday night. Party of 5. The service was impeccable. Our hostess was kind and welcoming. Our server was great. The place was busy but our server did not let us feel like she was rushed or too busy for us. The ambiance, is quintessential NYC with candle light and music that permeated a timeless, hip, relaxed contemporary feel. It's comfortable but not sloppy. It's upscale but casual. The food was surprisingly top notch. My party shared small plates for the entire dinner. The Warren was able to deliver high end service with food that had creative and not cliche fusion qualities, which did not skimp on taste or presentation. Kudos to the chef and staff. It was a really great experience.
Fantastic staff, food and drinks were on point!
The food at this establishment left a LOT to be desired. If the food at the Warren was as good as the service, I would return. However, until that’s the case, I definitely won’t be back.
Brunch at the warren never disappoints!
A lovely and delicious dinner, the atmosphere was intimate, inviting and fun. Service was great and the food was delicious. 10/10 recommend the tuna tartar.
