One of the things I love about restaurant week is being able to get a good meal at a good price at a restaurant that I have never visited before. And this was a really good choice. I loved the location, the food, the service, and the price. Highly recommended.
Place was nice but it seemed to be over booked and they had to create a table for us and squeeze us in.. We were too close to the next table, and with a table of 2 next a table of 7 they over powered us not purposely... The food was pretty good though...
Best crabcakes in Alexandria. Nice ambiance.
We were seated 1 hour late from our original reservation time
We have been going to The Warehouse with friends for a number of years. It is one of our favorites. It continues to be excellent in every respect. Fine food with fine service.
Food is always pretty good. Service is always spot on. My filet mignon was slightly overcooked, and the asparagus Spears had seen better days.
Two of us went for restaurant week and the food was very good, as was the service. We requested to sit upstairs upon arrival and had a small-ish table by the staircase. We could hear some of the noise from downstairs and knew it had to be crowded down there!! Very happy with the menu, food, service, and table location. I would not hesitate to return.
My roommate and I went for restaurant week. We were seated very quickly (even a few minutes early of a reservation), our waiter was fantastic and the service was great. Our food was so delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Wonderful service. Dinner was beautifully plated and great flavor.
The food and service were excellent. Hector did a wonderful job. We were there for restaurant week and the menu was delicious. The portions were large, and the wine list reasonable.
Sweet meal for restaurant week. Plenty of options and the food was delicious and there’s something for everyone. It was romantic and right in the middle of king street. Perfect spot for a date night.
The oysters were fabulous. The NY Strip Steak was medium as requested, just wished it was seared better and served sizzling hot. Everything else was just good. Enjoyed the ambiance .
I went there expecting to get their French toast but at 11:15 am was presented only with lunch items. That was the only reason I selected this place. Our waiter was horrible. Served us cold bread and when we asked for it to be warmed or toasted he rolled his eyes. Never asked me if I wanted a coffee refill. I had to ask for it myself. We had been to this place before and it was great. Something happened since then. Too many restaurants in Old Town to go back there.
My wife and I really enjoyed the food. The service was great. I only wish that the tables were not so close together. The couple next to us talked loudly and detracted from our conversation.
Came for restaurant week. Got the she crab soup, surf and turf; and my husband had the beignets and cat fish. The portions were sizable but the food was very "blah." The servers came around to refill water but never really asked about our food or experience.
Not at all fine dining. If you want reasonable prices/ serving sizes, then this is the place to be. If you want a fine restaurant in old town, there's many other options on King St.
Forgot we had been here 2 years ago when we made the reservations. I think they've upgraded the decore in the past 2 years but I've never been impressed by the food.
Restaurant week three courses for $35 was excellent value. It’s a bit pricey otherwise. High quality food and service.
The restaurant week menu was great, and the kitchen created a special meal for one of us.
Great dining experience at the Warehouse. It was our first visit and will absolutely return on our next trip to Alexandria. An extensive selection of Seafood with a Cajun flair. Just happened to arrive during restaurant week and their special menu offered many of the restaurant's featured dishes at a great value.
100% honest review: The food is amazing! But the service was fast and uncaring! They were extremely busy due to restaurant week, but no matter how busy a restaurant is the service still should be up to par. But from the regulars I have spoken to the service is always quick and uncaring. My wife and I really enjoy fine dining experiences; especially when the server tells you about the restaurant and the food specials that they are preparing that evening. The warehouse just says, “what would you like?” and “thanks”
That’s when I get at a fast food drive-thru!
I enjoyed dining at this location over a decade ago, definitely a different menu, ambiance; yet equally enjoyable in other ways. That said said, the kitchen/chef seemingly used quality products to produce a delicious plates for our party of 4. Who are equally critical, this is a good thing for this review. As for the rest, it is moderately priced and worth the trip!
Soup and salad at th bar. Soup was very good, service, too. We'll be back.
Good food, good service, outstanding waiter! Table too small for a party of four.
Excellent food and service as usual.
Great food -- a little high priced -- service was great
The food is dependably always good. They have a variety of specials for dinner daily, which is always an alternative to the menu. Their seafood is fresh and prepared correctly to order.
Fantastic food and service.. Very friendly management and staff...
We had great service & great food!
lovely dinner for our family, friendly waiter, and reasonable wait time. Delicious crab cakes!!
This place has the best She-Crab Soup in the area. I highly recommend it. All of us had an excellent meal, but there were not a lot of options on the menu. My daughter and I shared the Flat Iron steak. It was very tender, and they were generous to split our meal onto 2 separate plates. We all enjoyed the really nice atmosphere, but it wasn't anything exceptional. I would go again, especially for the wonderful soup.
The food, the atmosphere is always good and energetic.
Although we had a reservation we had to wait about 10 minutes for our table. The wait staff was great. Food was good but menu is a little overpriced for what you get but overall good experience
The food and service at the Warehouse are Excellent!
Our third visit in the past year to The Warehouse, and the occasion was New Year's Eve. We opted for an early-ish dinner (7 PM) and while we had a short wait, a drink at the bar passed the time quickly. While non-seafood items are on the menu (and I imagine quite good), we prefer seafood. We split a starter of pecan crusted crab cakes, an entree of fried oysters, and an entree of pecan crusted salmon. The oysters were perfectly briny, plump, and fresh tasting. The crab cakes were very good, and the salmon - perfectly cooked. Two cocktails (the "sunburn" and a limoncello martini), and two glasses of a California cab, plus dessert added up to 138 dollars.
Crab cakes had a little bit of filler—for the price, should be all lump. Creamed spinach had a seasoning that some of us didn’t really like, so you might ask about that before ordering. The Asian spare ribs were excellent—meat fell off the bones—and salmon was cooked to perfection. Service was great—when a couple of things came out wrong, server immediately got them fixed. Cute place where you can dress up or down.
I love the seafood gumbo! And the crab cream soup! Wow. So much flavor with a kick of heat.
Great service, great food!
Consistent high quality of food and service Demi weed by wait staff. We had a nice holiday family dinner together with 11 people, which most restaurants will not accommodate, but The Warehouse will with gratitude. This is why this is our go to restaurant in Old Town Alexandria for special events.
Wonderful food. Excellent attentive service. We had a 3yr old with us who got a little antsy and our server did a wonderful job keeping him entertained!
The food was very good, I got the crab cakes. The waiters were very professional.
