They were able to seat me earlier. Great service and meal.
Great meal! We went and ordered off Restaurant Week menu. It was a great deal.
It was my third time dining at the Warehouse. Luckily ended up being the first night of Restaurant Week. While we initially frustrated the waiter by being very slow, he remained attentive and gracious. The food was it’s expected excellent with the portions being more than sufficient.
As mentioned by another diner, the bartender did not know how to make a basic drink. My friend ordered a Sapphire Martini, extra dirty. What he got was Sapphire gin, shaken, then poured in a martini glass. The extra from the shaker was poured into a mini carafe. So basically she served him the equivalent of 3-4 shots of straight gin, that had been shaken with ice. There was no vermouth, no olive brine, and to top it off, no olives!
Food was great, we all loved our entree's. One complaint was for the alligator soup. My other friend said it tasted like Campbell's vegetable soup with small chunks of chicken (I take it that was the alligator).
I definitely want to try this place again, just will avoid what we know was bad on the initial visit.
The Warehouse never disappoints. Always great food and excellent service, especially for the price.
The food was outstanding - and the service was embarrassingly bad. :( I'm so disappointed! They did not know how to make a Virgin Bloody Mary (huh?) from the bar (so gross what they served and we could hear their banter trying to figure it out behind us). The server was so terribly untrained -- we asked basic questions "what's on the side with the french toast?" and he was "uh, hmm, I don't really know." "Do you want to go ask the Chef?" "yeah, good idea." Coffee was served in cups spilling on us and the saucers to the point he had to bring fresh saucers. Upon serving the meals, they had no idea who had ordered what. It was so discombobulated. Worst part for me was the staff just talking and gossiping everywhere. Leaning on the bar, gabbing loudly about stuff, crowding the hostess chatting. I'm surprised this has such good reviews. Did we come on a really off day? Tons of substitute wait staff? :(
Held a large birthday dinner for 16. Staff was amazing and very accommodating.
The service was amazing and the food was great too. When we arrived on time for our reservations we were sat immediately. We were eating before a concert at the Kennedy Center. The restaurant was fairly crowded but the servers still seemed friendly and attentive. Was my first time but definitely won’t be my last.
The restaurant was very nice, I went there with my girlfriends. We had a great time, the food was very good I hardly finish my meal and I ate everything. The hostess could have been a little more friendly and the manager could have talked to everyone rather than going to specific tables when you have an area full of other guests. Other than that great experience.
I was visiting my son and we went to The Warehouse partly because he had a coupon. Given the excellent food, friendly, attentive service, and the attractive ambiance, we will definitely return (even without a coupon). Overall a great dining experience and a great bargain (even without any coupon) in addition.
When in Alexandria you must dine at The Warehouse. This was our 3rd visit. We arrived on time for our 7:30 reservation but had to wait at the bar for our selected special table for about 20 minutes. The staff recognized the delay and offered dessert on the house. The food is fantastic! You must try!
We met friends there for a catch up dinner as we have not seen them in awhile. We wanted a quiet table and although we were quite close to other tables, we did not seem bothered by other's conversations etc. The table was located in an elevated area near the bar and although the table itself was large enough, getting there was a bit of a squeeze (and getting up to go to the bathroom etc) Our server was quite attentive but not bothersome and we lingered for about 45 minutes at our table after dinner, not feeling rushed to get out.
The food and the service were spectacular. We had the mushroom appetizer, steak and crab cake. All were very good.
Reasonably priced great food specials, especially good service for our party of six celebrating three January birthdays! We've never been disappointed at the Warehouse Bar and Grille! We love the new interior renovations!
The restaurant food and service was great. The lobster salad was delicious!
Great spot. Great location. Excellent Service. Great food.
We tried The Warehouse for the first time on a Saturday evening and fell in love! Everyone was amazing and attentive, and the food was phenomenal! We enjoyed it so much, we went back on Sunday. I will absolutely be coming back on a regular basis.
A table for a late dinner on New Year's Eve proved to be a good call as although the place was busy the service was good and the food came out fast. Our dishes were good and in particular, a short rib starter that was some of the best ribs I have had in a long time. Will be going back again on a regular evening for sure.
A busy New Year's Eve - probably noisier than usual. Never the less, a positive experience-next time we visit, it will be on a non holiday
We both had the salmon. It was wonderful! Highly recommend!
A very cold night and restaurant was a little on the chilly side. Food was delicious and served promptly even though restaurant was extremely busy. Varied menu with something for everyone. Will visit again
Our first trip to Alexandria and we selected The Warehouse for New Years Eve dinner. It was an excellent choice. The food was delicious and they were able to accommodate my gluten issues. I would highly recommend The Warehouse.
Delicious Food for our New Years Eve dinner. We liked that it wasn't a limited menu for New Years Eve and even though the restaurant was very busy we never felt rushed. Thank you Warehouse for a memorable delicious meal in Old Alexandria. Everyone at our table loved their meal. I loved the photo I submitted because it captured the flag furling in the wind.
We normally have a great time and meal at The Warehouse. Yesterday was nothing short of disappointing. Coffee-cold. Appetizer-cold. Main entree-cold. Service HORRIBLE. Our appetizer was served AFTER our entree when we reminded the waiter. Just a complete fail yesterday.
Crab soup and smothered catfish were awesome. Server was nice and attentive. Upstairs ambience can be noisy when crowded. Highly recommended.
My wife and I enjoyed dinner upstairs at "The Warehouse" in celebration of our eleventh anniversary. The service was outstanding. We were seated immediately upon arrival after having made reservations.
We had a bottle of wine, appetizers, and our entrees were delicious. We were pleasantly surprised to be served dessert "on the house".
If your looking for a classy place to have dinner, you've found it.
Steak pontchatrain and Veal Oscar were delicious. The chocolate creme brûlée was astounding. Women’s restroom upstairs was not clean, and waiter took a long time to take drink order and entree orders after the whole party arrived.
Very good food and atmosphere. Will go back and definitely recommend to a friend.
Although the food was very tasty, we were put out by how the waiter treated us. It seems more the style in which this restaurant thinks it’s clients need to be served than a personality issue. We felt like we were on a high speed assembly line, being rushed through every stage with hectic and loud movements. The restaurant was not filled to capacity and it was a week night, so no need to assume double sittings which I think is rude anyway for a restaurant of supposedly this caliber and reputation. I asked for room temp water as the outside temp was a frigid 18 degrees F and it was as if I asked for fresh goat’s milk! I was also the last one to be served, tell me please, what is so difficult about my request? Although he saw I had used my knife during the appetizer he was reluctant to bring me a clean one. Again, I expect this from a family diner... We do not see the need to come back again and think it has an overrated reputation!
The food was great. I had the horseradish salmon and the alligator stew. Both items were perfectly prepared.
Family holiday gathering. Atmosphere was cozy yet festive, perfect. Our waiter, Saed, was awesome!!!!!
Loved having a round table for the 8 of us as requested. Cozy but easier to hear. The shellfish in parchment paper was the best seafood I have had in a long time!!!
Everyone in our party of 5 thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Standouts were the She-Crab Soup and the fantastic Jambalaya - the most flavorful and best I have ever had.
My family and I, have made this restaurant our Christmas Eve tradition for the past several years. And we honestly love this place. Great atmosphere and good food.
This is a very good restaurant in Old Town Alexandria. I highly recommend it. One of the best there.
It was good food with a nice ambiance. We enjoyed it and would definitely return.
The Warehouse is awesome. This is the second time I've been there. The food is superb and the service was impeccable. I will be returning for special occasions. Expensive, but well worth it.
The service was very good but the food was slow coming out. The waiter was very nice and attentive. The atmosphere is very nice. We had a table by the window and could see the people walking outside-----very picturesque. The problem with this restaurant is the food. It isn't bad but really it isn't good. I had pork chops----I almost never cook them because I have problems keeping the meat moist. The ones I had at this restaurant were not moist either----very dry and had very little flavor. I needed to add salt. The calamari was ok, crisp but nothing special. My daughter had the shrimp and she said it was overcooked. This is all ok I guess except that the bill was $650 for 9 people and 1 child which is fairly expensive. It just isn't worth the price. They really need to take more care with cooking the food.
The Warehouse is my family’s favorite breakfast spot. The staff and the ambiance is always up to par very pleasant.
Some of the patrons were loud, and did not belong.
