We recently enjoyed a nice evenign with friends at The Warehouse. The food was excellent as was the service. We ate in the area next to the bar which unfortunately got a bit noisy due to some bar patrons, so I recommend choosing other seats.
Simple seafood prepared deliciously.
Amazing food and service
A favorite go-to for us for years. The staff is great and the food consistently excellent. Try the wasabi oysters for sure!
The meal was wonderful and the service was excellent , but the noise level upstairs was terrible. 2 large parties were so loud as to drown out the conversation at our table.
The place is small and cute. Good for intimate conversations. The Brunch Menu was tasty.... but the drinks stole the show. I wish we had more it was so good!
This restaurant is slightly more upscale than I anticipated, but the decor and food was excellent. I didn't get great vibes from our waiter, whom despite our appropriate attire and demeanor still seemed to treat myself and my party of young 20-somethings a bit like children, initially not even seeming to believe our ID was correct. This is an issue I have often, but still bothers me. I don't believe I will dine here again.
Friends visiting unexpectedly from Charleston, SC (accustomed to great seafood) loved the Sunday Brunch -- which always seems to get better! Our friends lived in Old Town before moving out of the area, so our brunch was a particularly happy reunion made better by the Warehouse staff and their great service. The NOLA specialties were delightful, but the main stays of the menu continue to delight!
Everyone enjoyed their meal, special crab cakes eggs benidict was great, also glass of champagne included with an entree was a nice touch.
Restaurant was very nice. A little louder than I would have preferred. Food was good for me, wife had their Cajun meatloaf that I would not recommend at all.
Great meal, needs better wine selection; waiter occasionally disappeared but was very
helpful & courteous overall.
My wife and I (for the 5th year running) celebrated our wedding anniversary at the Warehouse. We made a reservation and explained it was our anniversary. We received a premium table and nice dessert (in addition to the meal). Such a classic, elegant place. Also I notice that it was veteran owned. This nice to know. Thanks to The Warehouse staff for making our day special....see you in 363 days!
Excellent food and wine. Service was average. Our waiter was very stuffy and not not personable. I would return and hope for a different server. I know it’s fine dining but it’s okay to smile.
Some of the food was not up to Warehouse standards. The fried oysters were bland and seemed to have been reheated. Hope it's all better next time. Service, as always, was superb.
Birthday dinner celebration- first time for all of us in attendance- throughly enjoyed everything!
What an excellent experience and restaurant. The food and desserts were excellent.
Will do for dinner or brunch again, soon.
Food and service were phenomenal. Have only been to this spot twice, but will definitely add it to the regular rotation.
Good food at a fair price, but service was spotty. EG, the waiter forgot about a Bloody Mary order and then brought it after we finished eating.
Food was great. Restaurant seems overwhelmed by normal dinner service. Service was mediocre.
Great food - especially the seafood, and service. Check it out.
Meh. Food so so. Wouldn’t return
I can always count on good food and service and low decibels in this neighborhood fave.
As requested, they put us in a quiet spot so we could discuss our book. Tomolin provided excellent service and was always there when needed. Everyone enjoyed their food from bowls of gumbo to crawfish etoufee to salmon. The evening was perfect and just what we were hoping for.
While the food was fine (not great, but solid), the service was hasty and brusque. Given that this is a fine dining restaurant, service should be both more thorough and more pleasant.
I was pleasantly surprised by The Warehouse last weekend. We celebrated my mother's birthday last Sunday with Brunch for 8. I booked relatively last minute based on the OpenTable reviews. The food was delicious, the menu was classic with a Nola twist and the service was very attentive. We had 3 kids with us and while it's not a "kid-friendly" venue (i.e. no kids menu or sippy cups), they were very welcoming and accommodating. My husband compared this brunch to Commander's Palace in New Orleans -- a high compliment. The venue is a little more formal than most places these days, but they do it in a very friendly/high service way - it was not stuffy at all. We will definitely go back!
The service was fine, the food was OK, the price a bit high, but the ambiance was totally ruined by the rude and extremely loud group of 16 people celebrating a birthday. We requested a quiet table or booth for two, my wife and I, for a special occasion dinner. It was nice of the hostess to seat because we did arrive early, but it was not nice to be seated in the room with the party. The noise level was so loud that I couldn't hear my wife across the table. I blame the hostess more than the inconsiderate party group. I do not intend to return. In retrospect we should have refused to accept that table, asked to be reseated, or just left.
The bartenders were superb. The manager was so accommodating and friendly. Loved the wall caricatures. Had a great window seat, food was wonderful as was the wine.
That said, the service was a bit slow at first - the bussers with water came to our table more frequently than our waiter in the first 10 mins. I have food allergies and the waiter said that I "came to the wrong place"- causing myself and my friend (whose bday choice was the Warehouse because of ratings) to stare at each other.
He blew off asking is she wanted another drink when her first one was empty just sweeping the empty glass away. Didn't come back for a while after that- at that point we were waiting to see if what we wanted as an appetizer I could eat. It was generally poor service for only 8 tables...but it appeared he acted the same with everyone so maybe he was having an off day.
BUT....salvation came in the form of their manager who saw her without a drink and took our wine order. Bringing us a fabulous bottle and flirting / teasing us (as only an older gentleman can - with compliments and laughter). The chef came up with an adaptation to the menu item I wanted to eat (which was exceptional) and we had their delicious desert before rolling out of there full of good food and great times.
Food, atmosphere, and accommodating management explains why this place has been around for 30 years.
Even if you're by yourself - go! Sit at the bar and enjoy the amazing seafood.
I picked this restaurant at random for my mother-in-law’s birthday, having never been before. We were all impressed and The Warehouse exceeded my expectations by far. Everyone’s food was delicious - we each had an appetizer, entree, and dessert. Each bite was better than the last. It was very busy but we didn’t wait long at all for anything. The owner greeted everyone personally which was very respectable. I can’t wait to come back!
Great experience. The service, food and atmosphere were outstanding!
We would not go back. We went here because of the high rating on OpenTable and #1 rating on TripAdvisor. We were seated near a 20 person party who were very loud. Although we didn't complain, the staff didn't ask if we wanted one of the many other empty tables even though one other couple asked to change tables and a different couple got up and left the restaurant without ordering. The food was average at best (All lump crab cakes and Fairfax burger). Not bad but nothing I would go back for. The service was a little below average. I don't mean to sound so critical but I cannot understand how this restaurant is ranked so high.
Wonderful meal but it was a bit noisy.
Excellent food with a New Orleans focus. The best oysters I have had in a long time - large, firm and great taste. Excellent fish and sauce. The chocolate cake was outstanding. Service was quick and polite.
Crab was good, everything else average-slightly above average.
The Warehouse was a great place to celebrate birthdays, happy hour, romantic evening or just a good time. Dinner was amazing and George our server was great. Our meal portions were just right. Great restaurant.
The food was delicious and the service was good. However, our entrees were a little slow coming out from the kitchen.
Very nice place
This was a belated Valentine's Day dinner, and the anniversary of our first Valentine's Day dinner together at the Warehouse 24 years ago. And as always, we asked ourselves, "Why don't we come here more often?" The menu has a wonderful variety, but is not overwhelming. The food is always beautifully prepared. The rib-eye steak was perfectly grilled and one of the best my husband had in a long time. My salmon was moist and flavorful. The recently redecorated building is cozy but not fussy. And I can't say enough about the service - friendly, prompt, and gracious. A lovely gem of a restaurant that always rises to the occasion.
We were celebrating a birthday!! Zaher, was our waiter and he was amazing!! He was funny and very engaging. It was between meals so we were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves. We met the manager and the chef, Sert came down to meet us as well. Even the bartender made a drink to order for one of us.
I would recommend this place to everyone!! They are a wonderful team and the food and drinks were fantastic!!
Very nice experience. Food was amazing!
We have always enjoyed the Warehouse. Again this was an excellent experience with the food and wine top notch as always. We had excellent service and personal interactions with the manager. Would recommend this for anyone looking for an enjoyable evening out or a nice date night experience.
