Food was outrageous.
We take the train in from Virginia Beach twice a year. Every time we come we eat at the Warehouse (Olde Towne)for dinner. The food is always Delicious and service Excellent. Last night I had Filet —cooked perfectly and my wife had Veal Scallopini with Cajun crawfish/shrimp. Five star all the way!! (Would love to have a gentlemen’s cube in my scotch —just a suggestion) Love this place !!
We had a wonderful time celebrating my wife’s birthday. The food was perfectly cooked, from the Nola oysters to our bourbon pecan pie! The seafood sampler was delicious and the filet mignon was cooked precisely.
This was my first time dining here and it did not disappoint. One thing I hate about going out to eat is being rushed and it was the opposite feeling here. Said, our server, was so patient and knowledgeable. He made our experience one to remember. The food was incredible, to go along with the experience. I will 100% be coming back here and will definitely suggest to others in the future.
Our waiter was good and nice. Sea sample plater was excellent!! Only bad thing is that the booth we were sat was dirty (had food on it)
Great location and nice ambiance (especially the top floor). Could have a little better gluten-free options. While it was nice to have the option of a gluten-free crab cake and it was all lump crab meat, it basically tasted like a mound of crab meat in a cream sauce. Also would be nice to have a little cole slaw AND a potato option.
Table was a little small for 6 adults. The food and service were good.
Outstanding, as usual!
Birthday for my wife
Anniversary dinner with my wife. Great ambiance and location in Old Town. Will go again!
A lovely brunch menu is offered on Sunday. We didn’t expect it but it was most welcome.
First time dining here for a new parents date night on Saturday night. Unfortunately service was impersonal and rushed. Appetizers were the mushroom dip and Caesar salad - the dip was comprised of mini baby bella mushrooms simmered in olive oil/white wine with toast points and the Caesar was the standard recipe of romaine and shredded parm but the lettuce wasn't crisp. I had the spicy pecan crusted chicken with crab meat but it didn't have much flavor, my date had the porterhouse and noted that it was cooked fine. In terms of value, I'd say it's right up there for what I'd expect from King Street/NoVa - $150 total for 2 drinks, apps, entrees, dessert w/tip. There's lots of great cuisine in this neighborhood so I don't think we'll be back when date night rolls around again.
Great time with friends! Our service was great and the food was even better.
Excellent steak and service. Mrs and I both ordered a grilled veal porterhouse steak, hers well-done, mine medium. We had never had a veal steak but wanted to give it try. Both were delivered as ordered – perfect! The meat was nicely seasoned, tender and very tasty. We both enjoyed it very much. The service was attentive throughout – excellent. We will be back.
We were in Alexandria for a business meeting and wanted a seafood dinner. While there are several choices along King Street, we chose the Warehouse based on prior experience. I selected the haddock and my wife the crab cakes. Both were outstanding!
We were greeted and seated quickly and with grace. Our server was attentive without being intrusive.
What an extraordinary evening! Every aspect of our special night out was quite perfect. First time at the Warehouse, we relied on our waiter's expertise and were glad we did. Service was attentive and thoughtful, our dinner was delicious...we left with appetites satisfied and hearts filled as well. Thank you.
Great food, customer service, and atmosphere. Will definitely be back!
We love the warehouse restaurant. Every time we are in Alexandria we done here. This was the first time for Sunday brunch and it was delightful. My husband’s favorite is the she crab soup. Excellent!
Everything about The Warehouse was enjoyable. The food was great and the service was very good.
The appetizer and she crab soup were amazing. Service was fantastic. The entrees were “just okay”.
Food was nice, service was ok. They had a lot of gluten free options or could make them gluten free
Just always fun to go there and food and people are excellent. Tablecloths are a must have for us to really enjoy our dining experiences
Nice restaurant and excellent choices including daily specials.
I only got the chance to view the seating downstairs, but I can say that this restaurant’s dining area is quite beautiful. It looks and feels very elegant, but the food is priced well for those who’d like to treat themselves without making a big dent in their wallets. The various caricatures on the walls along the staircase are also a very nice touch. My only gripe with this restaurant was that the waiter made a mistake and charged the wrong cards between me and my lunch guest despite the fact we ultimately split our entrees, the appetizer, and our drinks. We both signed and tipped on the correct checks. I didn’t realize and contact the restaurant about this situation until 2 days later when I noticed the charge through my bank account didn’t match what I remembered signing for. I used cash to tip so I could mind my checking account. The gentleman I spoke with said the best they could do would be to offer some extra treat if we were to return to dine with them or resolve the tip matter between ourselves. Although the gentleman was courteous and respectful, I have no interest in going back to that place especially if it’s for a non-monetary resolution. This restaurant was a bit out of the way for me as it was. As nice as the whole experience was during the lunch considering the service, menu, and décor, I would describe my overall experience a 4 out of 5. However, I can’t help but leave this 3 out of 5 because of their solutions for resolving this payment issue.
The food was fantastic. I had the filet mignon and my wife had the crab cake salad. We both felt our meals were very very good.
We also had the wild mushroom dip as an appetizer. “Dip” is a stretch. It was really wild mushrooms sautéed in a butter/cream sauce that, although very tasty, required the use of a spoon (not provided) to put the mushrooms on the provided toasts. Dipping anything into the wild mushroom dip would have been comically ineffective.
Our table was also located in a drafty spot such that my wife couldn’t get comfortable, temperature wise.
But we are definitely looking forward to returning in the future.
Superb food. She crab soup if a must!
This is my second visit to The Warehouse. The food is okay, not great, but okay. Can find much better for the price in Old Town.
The lobster salad was delicious. Restaurant was nice and so were the staff.
Crab was the focus and The Warehouse did not disappoint.
We sat down, and no wait staff talked to us for at least 25 minutes. Once we finally got service, the service was slow. We out in our orders, and after waiting 20 minutes, were told one of the entrees was no longer available. The food was mediocre at best. I will not go back again nor recommend this place to anyone.
We have never gone wrong with the Warehouse. This visit was with two other couples and everyone raved about the experience.
This was our first visit to the warehouse and my experience was a good one. The food we had was good as well as our server.
Very loud with parties going on but the food and service were amazing!!!
Our server was phenomenal and the crab cakes, their specialty, were AMAZING!!!
Having just come from New Orleans, this restaurant didn't do it for me. But two people in my party were pleased with what they had. The horseradish crusted salmon was cooked well, but had no horseradish flavor. The seafood in parchment got good reviews. I found the crab cakes to be ordinary. Good drinks. Management was very accommodating when we mentioned how cold it was in our area of the restaurant.
My son’s 26th Birthday celebration. Great place to dine, the food and service was amazing. The menu had some unique items like alligator and crawfish, very Cajun American but also traditional American food as well. I will definitely patronize this restaurant again.
An outstanding restaurant all around!
My cousin was visiting from New York and it was also my mother’s birthday week, so we decided to go out for lunch. The food and service were exceptional. I had the lobster cobb salad and it was delicious, but there wasn’t much lobster for the $24 price tag. My cousins had the crab cakes and they were extremely pleased with their meals as well! The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that my mom ordered the caramel custard and it was too sweet for her, so she didn’t eat it. I thought it would have been appropriate one a nice gesture to remove it from the bill. There were 4 of us eating and the bill totaled $187!
We went here for brunch. The food was cold. The quality of the food for the prices was not right. We complained our potatoes were cold so the waiter offered to get us new potatoes and those were cold also. I then took a bite of my eggs Benedict and the hollandaise sauce was cold. The egg was over cooked. The yolk was hard, not runny like it should be. The waiter was kind of stumbling all over the place and dropping stuff. Thankfully he didn’t drop anything on any of us. We were very displeased and will not go back. Terrible food and experience.
