Kind and curious wait staff. Enjoyable dinning experience. The food was delicious! The She crab soup was the best we ever had!
All 3 of us loved our selections. Very good service. Professional with a friendly homely touch. Of restaurants we’ve tried in the area is is the one that wins for us.
The service is just ok. It took a while to refill the water, the rim of the coffee cup was dirty, waiter brought the wrong dessert.
Wonderful as usual!
Pretty disappointed with the food. She crab soup was good. Everything else wasn’t worth the price. Server also was not friendly. The restaurant Is in a nice location and ambience was nice. Everything else we were sadly disappointed since we were excited to eat here.
Fantastic Easter Brunch and staff.
This was a wonderful dining experience from beginning to end. We were running a few minutes late so called to let the host know. When we arrived, we were greeted warmly, told "so sorry you ran into delays, so happy to have you, now you can relax and enjoy." Wow. And then our waiter Henry provided exceptional service, offering suggestions for wine and dinner, all spot on. He was attentive and helpful without being overbearing. And the food was magnificent. We can't wait to plan a return to this lovely restaurant very soon. Highly recommend!
The Crab and shrimp beignets were amazing. I like that the waiters are very attentive to when your glasses need filling or when Something needs to be clear from your table. I like that the wait staff does not constantly run over asking how is everything are you doing OK?
The food was exceptional...soft shell crabs and crab cakes....amazing. The waiter was friendly and we were given the table we requested in advance.
It is always a treat to go to The Warehouse for lunch or dinner. The regular menu is varied and tasty...something for everyone...and the specials are seasonal and delicious. It is always our first choice for special occasions and a restaurant we visit often.
Very good food and service. Dessert was in general (our table tried 4) slightly disappointing with respect to cost.
Delicious brunch- out of town guests enjoyed the menu and the charming restaurant- and complimentary champagne!
I actually had a great time at The Warehouse. Initially I was concerned because we had been seated about 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us as our server. Once he finally acknowledged us everything was great.
The food, the service, did I say the food was amazing. This was my first visit for brunch. It's not too many restaurants that I've experienced makes good SCRAMBLED eggs. OMG, I want to go back just for some eggs. I had the smothered catfish without the rice but with the scrambled eggs with cheese. Just beautiful. One of my friends had the crab cake Benedict but had the eggs scrambled. It was divine.
We were a party of 11 sitting at a table for 10. It was tight. When I made the reservation, I didn't count myself. But we made it work.
I would totally recommend this place for brunch and dinner.
We arrived 15 minutes early and they were very pleasant about seating us early. The service was very well done and the servers were extremely nice if slightly rushed and impersonal. This was probably because the place was extremely busy and it was also much louder than I'd anticipated.
Because of the noise level, and also because the place was a little shabby, I'd give the overall ambiance 3 stars...but none of this matters because we went for the food and it did not disappoint. We ordered the seafood beignets, which were perfect and not at all greasy. The spicy aioli that was drizzled on top was so good I seriously considered asking them to top my salad with it. We also ordered the she-crab soup which was indescribably delicious. Honestly one of the best things I've eaten in Alexandria over the past 3 years we've lived here. It was perfect, in every way and I could have eaten nothing but the soup for my meal and still walked away happy. The balance of salty and sweet was exact and they didn't skimp on the crab meat. Paired with a glass of their L'Alsace Pinot Blanc, I was in heaven.
We ordered the stuffed flounder and haddock as our entrees, both of which came with tons of crab, lobster, and shrimp stuffing. They were delicious and completely worth the $30 price tag. I have zero complaints about the food and the service.
This place is a must-go, for all the food but especially for the she-crab soup! They seem to be very family and group friendly as well - great for a date night where you want a boisterous atmosphere.
Excellent meal and service. They gave me a complimentary dessert in honor of my 60th birthday. Nice touch. Thank you
Every chance I get, I dine at The Warehouse. It is my favorite restaurant in the greater metropolitan area of Washington, DC!!!
If you are lucky like me, you will dine on the spicy SheCrab soup, the popcorn shrimp salad, the wondrous Creme Brûlée, or any of a number of Southern Delights. The iced tea, wines and cocktails are all excellent.
The servers smile and make you feel at home, the decor is lovely and calm, and the food consistency is equal to the finest restaurants in the world. I cannot day enough about this place that is now a home away from home for me. I have been eating here since 1990.
Excellent service and food! For older people in need of a quieter area ask for the back room. Not as picturesque but easier to hear and be heard!
The service was great. Food was disappointing and very dated, as was the decor. We really wanted to like it, the NOLA vibe was off the mark and bland.
Excellent service and ambience.
My wife’s bday
The food was good. The service was excellent. I requested a table next to the window. I had the catfish sandwich which was very tasty- messy- but tasty. There were too many good choices on the menu so it was hard to decide what to get!
Sunday bruch - excellent food and service. Highly recommend crabcakes and chocolate hazelnut dessert.
We had Sunday brunch with bloody Mary’s. Everyone’s food was delicious and the crab in the crab and asparagus omelette was fantastic. I highly recommend the restaurant.
Very delicious crab cakes !
Food was excellent ! Service was very very good. A bit expensive however it is Old Town Alexandria, VA. Crowded the evening we were there - seating a bit close together. Did have a terrific dinner.
Great evening! The food was great, well prepared and well presented. The service was discret but efficient. The ambiance was warm, pleasant and inviting. We met the owner as well who combines discretion and warmth
Maybe. Great location. Service was great. A little pricey though.
This was the second time we have visited The Warehouse. The food and service has been consistently good. I tell everyone I know that is visiting the area they need to dine at The Warehouse. The she crab soup is still my favorite!
From out of town and restaurant was recommended. Enjoyed. Would go again
The Warehouse is always great for lunch. Delicious food. Wonderful staff.
Wonderful food and professional service
We went for a birthday celebration my husband got a free dessert . She crab chowder was the best . I had crab cakes , my sone had a steak
Excellent food and service
Great food & cocktails. Lovely decor and good location.
We had a great time and wonderful experience. We plan to come back.
The Warehouse is my go to restaurant. They are consistent with great food and service. It's a lovely please to dine with friends, and family, for business or pleasure. I have been going to The Warehouse for many years and I have to say I have never had a bad meal or poor service.
This is my go-to Saturday brunch place in Alexandria. Great atmosphere, excellent service, and delicious food! The brunch prices are fantastic, and many of the brunch specials include a free glass of champagne and strawberries or strawberries with cream. My favorite are the Pecan Chicken (also available at dinner), and the She Crab Soup (spicy with chunks of crabmeat). The crab cakes are also excellent. We’ve come here dozens of times and have never been disappointed.
A very elegant environment with delicious crab cakes and exceptional customer service!
Very delicious meal, but OpenTable menu was out of date and we got charged more than was listed.
Decent but caters to an older crowd. We will try someplace else next time.
Best crab cakes
