The Ward - Buffalo Riverworks
We are proudly part of the Pearl Street Family of Companies, and committed to Buffalo’s renaissance, “Rebuilding Buffalo, one pint at a time!” Our fully functioning brewery, retrofitted into the former Wheeler-GLF grain elevator, is what we believe to be the first brewery inside a silo in the world! With three expansive bars inside our main facility, the fourth bar is located within the silo, adjacent to the Riverworks Beergarden. More information in the PRIVATE EVENTS section of OpenTable. We asked to be reseated in the shade. Our request was met easily and we were seated down below along the river-outside. As a customer I struggled to sit in this area, especially to eat because of all the spider webs under our table, on/under our chairs and also all over the railing behind the table. I feel the tables/chairs and railings should be cleaned/wiped down every morning before restaurant opens. Customers should not need to see or sit in cobwebs and spider webs. This was not what we expected to see or sit in.
The host was rude and the didn’t inform us that they were out of food till we were ready to order. They were out of burgers on Friday afternoon
Great experience ! Relaxing atmosphere but energetic at the same time, not sure how they do that! We had great service from our server and really enjoyed this into the-acoustic guitar music. Definitely would come back command!
Loved the service! Food was good and we all had food to take home too!
We enjoyed our time sitting on the deck with good food and drinks.
Two burgers and fries for $60. The room echoes with voices; the loud music didn't cover it up as much as added to the noise. Don't bother.
My reservation was for 6pm and we didn’t get our food until 8pm! Just horrible and our waiter barely checked up on us until the very end when he noticed we we’re all annoyed.
Loved the vibe. Loved the food but the Mac and cheese was underwhelming.
Greattime as always
The Ward is starting to look rundown. The outside is under construction and will look better when finished. Overall not as good as in past years. Still a nice summer experience.
BroUght friends who were visiting from Florida and they were impressed with the whole restaurant.
Celebrated my birthday. Was wonderful!
Table was ready on time. Bartender was excellent. Food came out fast. No complaints. Will definitely be back. Band was also good.
Awesome time!! Savannah was our server and she was awesome!!
This is a family friendly venue with many different activities in one place. Check their online calendar for events. Definitely worn checking out. Been there twice already and planning to go back.
Our experience at the Buffalo Riverworks was great! Our kids were embarrassingly wild, and not a single person seemed to care! The kids meals were perfect quality and even better quality for our 7 and 3 year olds. The chicken sandwich that I ordered was good, but the pizza that my husband ordered was significantly better.
It was a fantastic experience, and I can’t wait to return when I don’t have children distracting me from the large better and cocktail list!
Way too loud. The band should not be playing I. The open area with another band playing upstairs. You go there for dinner with friends to talk and you have to yell to each other and leave with a horses voice and headache.
If they are to have a band they should do it after 9 when most are done eating dinner.
Jessica the hostess was very accommodating to us and our out of town family. She made sure we were comfortable with the seating arrangement. Our server Terry was very attentive to our table and the food was delicious with a great variety.
It was my friends and I's first visit to Riverworks, the food was delicious and the location was great. Will absolutely come again.
Fun atmosphere! Great food! Lots of fun things to do on the property! View of the river was very nice!
Music outside could be louder and better
Drinks, food and service were great!
The waitress was amazing food is horrible and the menu is very small
The food was disappointing- I was with a group of 8. Most of the food was not hit by the time we got it. Price wouldn’t be bad if food was better- too expensive for what you get.
We were able to be seated on time and at an outside table. Perfect as it was a beautiful day. Food portions were as expected and the pot roast sandwich was excellent. I would highly recommend.
Our food was cold. Our server took our order by saying, “Whatta got?” And lastly none of the events advertised were happening or available.
Looked like not enough servers. Food took forever to come out.
Bathrooms were disgusting. Service was slow. Hosting staff was extremely rude. Good was overpriced.
Nice atmosphere and service but the food tasted horrible.
The food was excellent & the service was great. The poutine & the mac/cheese were delicious.
A little disappointed that we could not sit outside. They told us they could not seat a party larger than 6 outside and we had 7. There was another party of 7 outside, so I don't know what the problem was.
The view is beautiful (but better outside). There really wasn't any music playing, which was a little disappointing, as they usually have some kind of music. Food was just ok.
Great summer afternoon venue at Canalside! Service was great, food was good! Excellent place to bring your kids - lots to see & do!!
I definitely recommend the pot roast in anyway the serve it. So good!
Nice lunch - we did get both our appetizer and entree at the same time . Ordered 2 4 packs of new new beer release - charge ) $ 56 for 2 4 packs - ridiculous
As always the food, service, place is absolutely amazing. I brought people for the first time and they loved everything. I’m a regular customer, you can see me probably every weekend, and all the time is great. Yesterday I was a little sad because my wife called earlier in the day to add more people to our reservation but it was denied after she asked management. We said ok it’s Father’s Day and it’s understandable the place is probably booked. But the place was almost empty and the entire time we were there, there were a lot of empty tables. We really wanted to have our friends there. That was the only downfall about our experience there. But food and our waitress and the place is wonderful.
Went for fathers day, great service from kelly, great energy and great food and drinks
Food was ok, your basic bar fare. A couple hiccups during service, but we know that places are understaffed. Could've done w/o the music...hard for conversation on a Sunday afternoon. Couldn't really engage with my dining partners. I'll come back for drinks since the place is very spacious and nice.
Overall this place was okay... we were there on a Saturday night at 5pm. I ordered the pasta dish (note there are only 4 entree choices) and they were out of it. How are you out of pasta at 5pm on a Saturday? Not sure. Our server was nice, but was very jittery the whole visit, kind of odd. The tables are permanently sticky (some kind of varnish or finish on the wood). We are from out of town so I figured something on the River would be a little nicer. Definitely an extremely casual place, more warehouse like. Positive notes were the live music and drinks were delicious.
Waitress was amazing! Brandy is awesome!
