The Waratah is a neighbourhood friendly bar, located in the heart of Darlinghurst.
Our ground floor features a friendly and easy-going public bar designed for walk-ins only. Upstairs is open for bookings, with a vibrant terrace bar complete with a stunning sun-draped rooftop and wrap-around veranda.
Our focus is on cocktails and great food. The Waratah is our love letter to all that makes Australia unique: small & independent producers, local growers, native produce and a diverse and singular landscape.

We are always open to catering opportunities! Contact us directly via gday@thewaratahsydney.com. We can provide canapé style catering or a fully staffed kitchen offering, including equipment supply. Consult, provide a brief, taste the offering, and once approved, then we will execute everything for you.

The venue boasts 2 seperate semi-private spaces that can be reserved individually orcombined to accommodate larger, exclusive gatherings, making it an ideal choice for any occasion. You can book both standing cocktail and seated style events for dinner Wednesday to Sunday, or lunch Friday to Sunday.
Thursday is steak night at The Tah! Join us for a 200g cut of Angus Beef, Chips & Davidson plum butter for $25, available from 4pm until sold out. Your steak night reservation details are as follows: 75min duration, $35 per guest minimum spend, 24hr cancellation policy enforced.
