   This was our first time to The Vista, and it did not disappoint. It's another great Rick Erwins restaurant. Everyone at the table enjoyed their selections, and my Ribs and Rotisserie Chicken were excellent. The ribs actually fell off the bone.

   This was our 3rd visit. Food and service excellent. We were seated at a table near the front door. It was a chilly rainy night so ended up being a little drafty where we were sitting and cold air when people went in and out the door. If it had been a beautiful night, it would not have been a problem at all.

   Our Sunday Brunch was very good. We had Chicken and Waffles. My wife's chicken was not cooked completely but we shared my piece which was well done. A rich filling dish!!

   Nice salad - good Brussel - sprouts - very good Braised Short ribs - good, but was a bit cool vs hot when served Porcini Tortelloni - bland and unremarkable Dessert / Apple Crisp ala mode - Apple crisp average, ice cream quite good Service from Jasmine was very good 1st time we have been, nice setting, ambience and service.. a bit disappointed in the dishes….    The Vista is a hopping neighborhood joint for the Augusta Road / Altavista neighborhood. Our waitress Yasmín was really helpful and told us how her sister had contributed their legendary bread pudding lava cake style recipe.

    Always a great spot for brunch for the entire family. My kids love this place. Perfect getaway without the kids too! Steven is one of the best bartenders in town and makes us feel like he was expecting us every time.

    We had gone to Rick Erwin's on Main St. and enjoyed it -- superb cooking and service in an elegant, adult atmosphere. We took a chance on this place, since it was our anniversary dinner and we wanted to save the hassle of driving all the way downtown. This particular restaurant was different. Although the menu was, I think, the same, the food seemed like it had been prepared by the B-team. It was good, but not terrific. The service was pleasant and efficient, but felt corporate. Our biggest complaint was the ambience. It reminded me of a sports bar, and indeed giant-screen TVs about the place displayed the Kentucky Derby and a ball game. So now I know: not all Rick Erwin restaurants are the same.

    We went on a double date to the Vista…our first experience. The staff is genuinely friendly and the restaurant is beautiful! We all got cocktails, which were unique and delicious. The food was very good with reasonable prices.

    Excellent brunch menu is available. Waitstaff is very attentive. We were celebrating a birthday. Our table setting included a birthday wish and a complimentary dessert was included. The Vista is a neighborhood gem.

    My husband and I enjoyed our first experience at Vista, and we'll be back. My husband had the Old Sage cocktail, which our darling waitress, Chloe, said was the bartender's invention and favorite cocktail--and my husband told her to tell him it was now his also. We both had the short ribs, which were delish -- but they were also incredibly fatty, as short ribs are. It would be nice if they could have some of the fat drained before serving. We wondered why such a nice restaurant with a great interior felt it necessary to have several TVs! Really, does anyone want to watch TV while having a nice dinner? My husband said it made it seem as if we were at the airport. Parking in back was no problem, which was a great relief. The menu was varied, and the prices modest.

    We went for Easter brunch, they were out of couple of dishes, my husband and son ordered the short ribs sandwich, first it took a long time to get the food, second it was hardly any meat in it and third it was really dry . So it wasn’t a good experience. Not sure if we’ll be back 😔

    We had a wonderful time at The Vista on Easter Sunday. We came from the Charlotte area and met our son who is studying at Clemson and some other family members. It was the perfect meeting spot. The service was spot on, all our food was delicious, and the ambiance just what we wanted. We will definitely be back!

    This was our first visit to the Vista and we’ll definitely be back. We had an issue with one dish on their new menu, but it was quickly resolved by the server. Definitely recommend the Burger and the Crab Cakes. We will be back.
