The Vineyard Rose at South Coast Winery Ratings and Reviews
Our first visit to this winery for food. We were pleasantly surprised by the ambiance of the outdoor seating. Our servers were attentive and charming. Our brunch order arrive in good time and was hot and delicious. My choice of bananas foster was plentiful and the bacon was crisp and slightly smoked. Just perfect. The chilaquiles included pinto beans not refried beans, a nice touch.
We will be back.
The food was delicious, but the service was absolutely terrible from the moment we walked in until the moment we left. We decided to try this restaurant from a gift card we received and sadly we will not be back. Maybe have a review with your team on the value of customer service! Thank you!
The entire experience at South Coast Winery was excellent and would highly recommend for romantic couples as a get-away. The facility is awesome, and the accommodations in the villas are superb. The hot water takes some time to heat up, and The Valentine's Day fixed Menu meal was delicious, however, I believe the price for the Dinner was very overpriced. I would definitely stay there again.
A very nice setting, a resort, wine tasting, and a nice restaurant. The chicken is safe.
Two of us ordered the "Seabass", found out that it was not from South America, but locally caught ,and was terrible. Seabass goes under many names You want to make sure it is the "Chilean Seabass" or "Patagonia Toothfish".
For a restaurant that is a winery I would have thought the waiter would have made sure the red wine was chilled. That did not happen either.
In the end a very disappointed foursome.
The wine tasting is 20 bucks for 5 very small pours. It makes no sense when you can purchase an entire bottle for as little as $18; however, that same bottle will cost $30 in the restaurant. The food was mediocre and my caesar salad was prepared with old, brown tinged lettuce. After the waitress took our order, she only checked back on us twice in 2 hours! The wine is spectacular, so if I return it will only be to purchase a few bottles. The tasting room is noisy and crowded, and the ladies restroom only had three stalls.
We went for our anniversary, and had reservations and they said they were busy and running behind, with many tables still open we went to the bar and orderd our food. The food was great at the bar as well as the service but the restrains is a joke and would not return.
Came on Sunday and it was the brunch menu which is always great since I’m not really big on breakfast. Had the vineyard salad with chicken for myself and we all shared some banana pancakes. The banana pancakes were amazing! They are a must try and I’m not even into breakfast. Server was great very attentive and gave us some great food recommendations.
The wine here is very good and a good value. Service is always just right - I think I have had Phillipe wait on me many times over the years traveling into Temecula. I chose on this visit the pork chop as something different. While very flavorful, it was perhaps not as juicy/tender as I might have expected. I’ll go back to the scallops as my go-to!
We arrived at 10:50 for a 10:45 am reservation and saw a sign at the front desk saying they were closed and would reopen at 11:30. We tracked someone down to get a seat and at first they offered us a table at the bar and said they were closing the kitchen. When I said no, that I’d like to sit in the restaurant they did seat us at the restaurant. Aside from that uncomfortable start, everything else was great. The food was excellent, the service was good and the ambience is nice. It’s a big open restaurant, not small and quaint as I’m used to in wine country.
We went here with a gift card we got for Christmas and we took a good friend who was visiting us for a nice lunch. I can’t tell you how disappointed we we’re from the minute we got seated. We had a reservation and we were on time. The restaurant had people in it but it didn’t seem slammed. We had to ask the guy who brought us waters twice after waiting 10 plus minutes to find our server. Our server wasn’t friendly and didn’t apologize for making us wait. We got our food and we never saw our server again until we had to chase her down for the check. We couldn’t believe how we were treated and the lack of care of concern for having not even taken care of us. It really was a bad experience that took over 1 1/2 hours from start to finish. We won’t be coming back.
Beautifully decorated for Christmas. Had Carolers strolling through singing at individual tables. Nice touch. Service was attentive, yet not intrusive. Our beef entrees were prepared as requested and were delicious! Wine pairing recommendation was perfect. Would recommend to friends without hesitation. Will be back again soon.
It has been a while since we last went to the Vineyard Rose. Since last time, the prices have really shot up at least 10$ per entree. The service was great as usual and we had our favorite waiter, Phillipe. The meal was good but I had the filet and asked for medium but definitely got well done and my husband said his was dry too. Some of our favorite appetizers are also no longer offered on the menu, it has become very streamlined. Considering the traffic in Temecula to get there on a weeknight, don't think we'll be going there that often anymore.
Stayed in Temecula for a family get together and thought we'd stay a few days at Southcoast and enjoy the wine tasting - spa - and restaurant. Holy Cow... what a fantastic restaurant. The decore and ambiance alone is worth the trip! The inside has a cozy cabin look and feel - WAY NICER than some other wineries in the area.
