                            Disappointed- the website doesn’t reflect the menu. Advise owners to update their website. Only fine dining available - options 5 courses £50 or 8 Courses £85. The flavours and culinary expertise excellent- however portion sizes were tiny. I am aware fine dining are small portions but these were unbelievably small. Also my partner had a nail sticking out of his chair, which was brought to attention of staff at end of meal after the bill had been paid - there was a brief confirmation of the nail and no interest in a sincere apology

                            Excellent venue, beautifully situated with a delightful ambiance & the food was superb! This was high quality digning with a lovely relaxed atmosphere which was just perfect for our group on the first night of our weekend at the Hay festival. Many thanks to the Vine Tree for making us so welcome & taking the time to laugh with us!

                            We had the tasting menu and enjoyed every single course. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The portion sizes were spot on. The service was excellent too. Will definitely return in the future.

                            We chose two courses from the a la carte menu priced at £40. The food was delicious but the portion sizes were very small. I was still hungry when we left!

                            Very good grade food, great presentation and excellent service. Whilst other restaurants of this type will skimp on portion size, there is no such issue here. There was a question we had after visiting, and the restaurant contacted me promptly and that was all sorted out.

                            An excellent lunch. From the moment we walked in. We were able to chose the table to sit at. We were given time to look at the menu. Water was brought to the table. Plenty of choice. Food was excellent. Well definitely be back.

                            Fabulous food, beautifully presented and outstanding service. We went for lunch and we all (4 of us who eat out regularly) agreed it was one of the best meals and dining experience we’d had in a very long time. Highly recommend you give this restaurant a try .. you won’t be disappointed.

                            This is my new go-to restaurant when I feel I want something a bit special without a hefty bill. Service is always so welcoming and friendly, to see the chefs cooking and how the food is presented is brilliant. I had the 3 courses, smoked haddock scotch egg, Sirlion Steak and deep fried apple pie with duck egg custard. I usually only eat fillet steak, I've got to say this steak was delicious, hardly had to cut through it, so tender and perfectly cooked. The desserts are absolutely worth it totally yummy. Thanks to all the staff for looking after us so well. We we see you again soon.

                            Excellent meal, all dishes were packed with flavour and beautifully presented. Service very good, nice wines and fun to see the chefs at work in the open kitchen. Highly recommend.
