   We chose two courses from the a la carte menu priced at £40. The food was delicious but the portion sizes were very small. I was still hungry when we left!

   Very good grade food, great presentation and excellent service. Whilst other restaurants of this type will skimp on portion size, there is no such issue here. There was a question we had after visiting, and the restaurant contacted me promptly and that was all sorted out.

   An excellent lunch. From the moment we walked in. We were able to chose the table to sit at. We were given time to look at the menu. Water was brought to the table. Plenty of choice. Food was excellent. Well definitely be back.

   Fabulous food, beautifully presented and outstanding service. We went for lunch and we all (4 of us who eat out regularly) agreed it was one of the best meals and dining experience we’d had in a very long time. Highly recommend you give this restaurant a try .. you won’t be disappointed.

   This is my new go-to restaurant when I feel I want something a bit special without a hefty bill. Service is always so welcoming and friendly, to see the chefs cooking and how the food is presented is brilliant. I had the 3 courses, smoked haddock scotch egg, Sirlion Steak and deep fried apple pie with duck egg custard. I usually only eat fillet steak, I've got to say this steak was delicious, hardly had to cut through it, so tender and perfectly cooked. The desserts are absolutely worth it totally yummy. Thanks to all the staff for looking after us so well. We we see you again soon.

   Excellent meal, all dishes were packed with flavour and beautifully presented. Service very good, nice wines and fun to see the chefs at work in the open kitchen. Highly recommend.

   Absolutely superb experience for Sunday lunch! Friendly and really helpful service ~ especially the Maitre D. Food superb! Great wine! Really good value 2 course menu option! Will most recommend to friends and family and will return soon. Thank you all Neale and Teresa A little PS… Only downside could have been the fact that the online booking system didn’t inform the restaurant that we’d booked and they were busy, but thankfully they were very accommodating!

   Great food yet again. Connor does not disappoint. Loved the pineapple sponge pudding and the scotch egg starter was outstanding. Well done

   Food was good, service was good, but the menu is very limited (4 mains) and it’s on the expensive side. No option or prices given for single courses. Drinks seemed very expensive. I would return but I would most probably choose somewhere else if I’m being honest. Reply comment - After your sarcastic & childish comment on my honest and factual review, I can certainly say I won’t be returning. Since you’ve mentioned Wetherspoons, your table covered with felt-tip pen marks did have an uncanny resemblance. Many thanks Dave

   Hi David, Thanks for your glowing review. We're thrilled to hear that the food and service were good- a real shame we let you down by not having a 12-page menu and prices like Weatherspoon's. We prep everything from scratch, using fresh, local and seasonal produce, and we take real pride in that. That unfortunately does mean we focus on a smaller, carefully considered menu rather than quantity for the sake of it. We'd love to welcome you back, but we totally understand if you're after something a bit more extensive! Thanks, Bethany
