We were staying at hotel where The Vine is located for my son's wedding. Shay and the staff could not be more accommodating to our group. The buffet breakfast was fresh and they kept refilling the food ad it ran low. Nice selection of breakfast items. They gave us a private section and it was lovely. Would definitely recommend!
Service slow but food good
This restaurant is located in the Eventi Hotel. My friends and I were guests at the hotel, and chose this spot to share a late night snack. Two of us weren't hungry enough for dinner but were too hungry to make it to morning. We split a Turkey Club and WOW that was a HECK of a delicious sandwich! The fries were a winner, the ambience was great, and as a hotel guest, location can't be beat. :)
One thing that prevented a 5-star rating? Restaurant was half-full, waiter was inconsistent. Forgot to bring the lemons for water, forgot to bring my husband's drink altogether. We reminded him & he apologized and said "oh gosh I forgot." Get this - second time? He forgot again! Really? Different person (food runner) delivered the food, and we asked him to get our waiter for the drink. He didn't show up. Am I boring you? You get the idea - we got up got the super nice hostess and she got someone to bring us the drinks.
There was a mouse running on the floor...
Will not go back
My cousin and I had a wonderful experience! The hostess and our waitress Kiara (not sure if I have the spelling correct - hey girl!) were radiant and it gave the place great energy from the moment I arrived. The setting and decor were sophisticated, yet unpretentious, comfortable and charming. We would both go back. My Chermoula Salmon bowl was perfect. We were able to customize our drinks with ease. The service was impeccable and the meals were reasonably priced. I would only say to check the menu before you go because it doesn't have a wide variety of options. It was great for my cousin and I, but I imagine it could be more challenging for large groups with very different tastes and food requirements.
Great evening spent with a friend, in a nice environment for chatting.
Definitely not the overcrowded bar / restaurant.
Moderate sound and we did not have to either whisper or shout to communicate with each other.
We kept ordering drinks and food periodically..
Very friendly environment and no pressure whatsoever from the server or the manager
Everything was great, would definitely go back
Overall a great time. Food, from the appetizer to the main course, and the service was excellent. I would recommend this restaurant for any ocasión.
Great place with amazing food! I go back regularly and never had a bad experience !
Great brunch! We sat upstairs by the fire and it was perfect for a cold, Sunday afternoon. The food was good, and it was quiet - as opposed to many of the loud, overrated brunch spots in the area. A little on the pricey side, but I would go again.
Very impressed with our first trip to the Vine. Had a great fried shrimp bun appetizer, a local and tasty salad, and crusted cod for a main dish. Everything really solid and unique. My brother and I shared everything, that way you get a taste of it all. Enjoy.
Kiara who was our waitress was fantastic. Food was excellent and it is a great atmosphere
Great food, good service, very pleasant atmosphere
loved the variety on a short menu. good wines too.
We had higher expectations for this restaurant. We went there for brunch for my mothers birthday and we're excited about the menu and the ambience of the place. Unfortunately when we got there though our server was very nice the food took 90 minutes Came out partly with the rest of the food coming 10 minutes later the food that did arrive with rest. I don't think it was the servers fault I believe the kitchen was just slow or missing people as a table next to us had waited over an hour and they hadn't received any other food either.
The portion was perfect and the food was very well cooked!
Food was good. I was confused when we walked in because it’s a hotel restaurant and I thought it was a stand-alone dining facility.
The food was surprisingly fresh and we'll presented. The server was friendly, but very new. He did not know what is meant by a soup with a creme base! Overall, very good. I will be back.
Everything about this place perfection except that the servers vanish never to return. You have to hunt them down if you need anything. It’s really a shame and it’s always been this way.
Great business lunch place, quick service but a bit noisy
Great robust drinks, delicious food but small portions, good service, but can be very noisy.
Overpriced. Small portions. Great service though.
Nice atmosphere good food service was good cocktails excellent.
We go to the Vine frequently for business lunches and love it! Service is great food is wonderful!
We love the food and the vibe but are always bothered by the weak and distracted service staff who seem to be lost and confused.
The service was weak. Our server took a very long time to come over and never check on us. We had salads that were mediocre. I would not recommend, as this NYC and there are other superior options nearby.
We had a great time. If I'm being super picky, service was a tad slow. Food was great, and we had a pleasant table outside. I'll definitely be back.
Food was great! Environment was very loud. The waiter gave us a check with a few items we hadn't ordered, which was annoying. Also, the waiter forgot to put in a drink order and we waited 15 minutes for it. Otherwise, it was a fun after work dinner amongst friends.
The food was exceptional and the service 5 star
The food was good--unfortunately the chairs were the most uncomfortable I've ever sat in, and the noise level made a conversation between my friend and I near impossible and the restaurant was not even completely to capacity. This is a bar with good food--not a restaurant.
They no more serve pizza from Lamico and their level of wine seems decreased. 🙁
Our server was not as attentive as I would expect. However, he was very friendly.
The Vine is the lesser known restaurant in the Eventi Hotel. I live nearby and have visited many times. It is good for a quick meal with friends but the service can be very uneven. The food is basic and reliably good. The atmosphere is faux-library and quite pleasant. In good weather the wall can open up to a windy plaza that the hotel doesn't seem to maintain, but it's nice anyway.
Went here for my fiances birthday and loved it. Casual, trendy, delicious and low key but could still dress up nice for it. Perfection.
I took out-of-town visitors to The Vine for a Sunday brunch. Was the staff exhausted from their Saturday night? Is that place always disorganized? All I can say is that three or four people "waited" on our table, no one taking charge. Food came late, did not correspond to the order (but by the time it was served we didn't want to send it back), the glass of wine for my guest showed up only after I cancelled it (it came as my guest was literally finishing his main course). Sad to see a pretty place run in such a depressingly poor way!
Really love coming to The Vine for a relaxed, informal but really delicious dinner. Their bar menu is one of the best!!
very cozy spot for lunch, afternoon casual meet-up, can get really loud in the evenings. During nice weather the doors are open and the vibe is great.
Fabulous after work spot ... near Penn Station but much more than that! Great small dining room with delicious "nibblies", cozy and inviting room, great drinks ... definitely a keeper!
I thouroughly enjoyed my dining experience here with my sister.
The food was delicious, anything you get off the menu is bound to be good.
The atmosphere is also a very nice chilled vibe.
I'd rate the drinks a 2 on a scale of , 1-5. They could've been better made and a larger selection to choose from, even more diabetic friendly drink options.
I will definitely be dining here again.
Food so good, it might be a reason for going to the neighborhood. Not far from Penn Station. A contender for best hamburger ever. Chips with dips so good dips not needed. A very casual but comfortable joint with really good service and unexpectedly excellent food.
