The waiter was friendly but the people serving the water and food were clumsy and apparently made a case in filling water cups to the rim and spill water all over the table in the process, very annoying. Also the food took just a little too long to get to the table, but was delicious and really well presented.
I was a guest of the hotel and dining alone. The hostess was very concerned that I get a good spot. The servers were attentive and the food and wine were great. I always enjoy this spot, whether it’s just for a cocktail or for a meal. The breakfast is great as well!!
Good menu and cocktails, but my margarita was $16 and came less than halfway full with the salt on the rim that looked like it’d been half licked off. Burger was quite small and ungarnished on an empty plate .. a bit sad for a $24 burger!
nice midtown eatery. It gets a little noisy and definitely crowded in the bar area, where the wait staff can be hit or miss in terms of attentiveness. The main dining room is definitely the preferred space, albeit the booths are a tad cramped.
Food is phenomenal
Excellent service (waitress was so so so sweet)
Food and drinks also very very good
Excellent breakfast in nice space with great service
I popped in for a catch-up dinner with a friend, and we enjoyed everything. The service was friendly, although a tad bit slow; Drinks were ordered and came about 15 minutes later. Dinner order took as long as I expected it might, and the food was delicious. The ambiance was really cool, with eclectic art and a unique restroom. We had to flag someone down for the bill twice, but other than that, it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and I would definitely recommend this spot for dinner with friends or family!
Nice food nice atmosphere
Not what it used to be. Chopped salad was underdressed and boring. Tuna tartare was seasoned with something salty and fishy and while not terrible was not great either. A turkey club sandwich was sent back to the kitchen since the turkey was nearly invisible and consisted mostly of bread, and at $23 was unacceptable. The burger was tasty if a bit greasy. French fries are spot on.
Service is nice but not extraordinary and was occasionally difficult to find our server.
Wines by the glass are nice but costly.
I would like to rate this higher, but ...
The restaurant doesn't have outside signage
The hotel doesn't have outside signage
The person on the phone just tells you it's at 30th and 6th - duh - big help dude
You're supposed to know to enter an open door labeled 'events' and walk to the bar in the back
Still no signage - but that's The Vine
Food quality exceeded expectations. Menu, while not extensive, but plentiful of choices. Portions are perfect size. At some point lights were dimmed to the point where you are sitting in the shadows.
The room is great. The food was lackluster. I had the chopped salad with salmon. It looked absolutely beautiful! The salmon was cooked perfectly but the salad dressing was lame. Just tasted like salt and olive oil. Easy fix! Hope this gets passed onto the chef. Dressing is everything.
Consistently horrible service. Long wait times. Rude waiters and bartenders. Food and ambiance is consistently good.
We were waited on by several different waiters/waitresses. It was very messy. They were4
Love restaurants in this area and the menu was a great value. Service was ok. They were fast but pretty awkward. I especially liked now the restaurant was designed. I would definitely return.
One of my go to places as I work close by.
The food and service is always great.
Quick NYE dinner before going to a show. Prompt service, great food, reasonably priced for NY. Recommend!
Good food and wine. Nice. Out place to hang out. A bit noisy but still relaxing.
Had my 30th birthday meal here and it was nothing short of amazing. Food was excellent and very well priced! Service was also excellent, regardless of how busy it was. The staff couldn't do enough for you, and very efficient. Would 100% recommend!
Everything about The Vine was incredible!!
Good food. Simple menu.
Hostess was very nice and friendly. My party of 4 was able to have dinner by the fireplace.
The food was outstanding. The salmon skin was crispy. The chopped egg gave the turkey club an extra yumminess to the sandwich. The short rib bao was incredible but was sad it was one order for 2 of these delicious baos.
The tuna roll was okay. I tasted more mint and basil then tuna.
I ordered the rum punch and it tasted like I was drinking grapefruit with alot of ice.
Would definitely come back to try different food items in the menu!
Great place for drinks and snacks with friends. Perfect for pre MSG events!
We were greeted with a smile and taken to our table and they checked our coats and bags so we were comfortable.
Very noisy. Had a few waiters but one in particular - think he was also Mgt as he wore a suit - couldn’t care less about us. My burger was completely tasteless.
Mediocre at best. Turkey Club lacked taste. One of 4 dishes considered worth returning for. Must say the bread (need to ask for it) was outstanding. Calamari appetizer was quite good too. Server mixed up drink order. Nice atmosphere but was hoping for better food.
There was a little confusion with the final bill, which I am still waiting to see gets corrected on my card -- but I was sure to keep copies of the updated receipt. Service can be a little slow, but good burgers and the sazarac was excellent.
We love this place and will be back very soon!! The food is awsome!! So creative and delicious!!
I'm a big fan of Laurent Tourondel!! I have his cook book even!!
Had a very nice lunch there with a friend -- able to be leisurely and comfortable. I was happy to find some healthy lunch choices and the food and iced tea were delicious. I will definitely be back.
I rated Vine as quiet but the noise level may be different at other times -- note that the drinks menu offered some cocktails by the glass OR the carafe.
Food should have been better; for the prices and the level of expectation in a space as nice as this Kimpton hotel, it should have been overall bettr.
The dishes were overly greasy, salty and it just seemed rushed and very little attention to balancing the flavors.
Service towards the end lacked, the server forgot about us and took too long in asking us about dessert, and we ended up skipping.
The Vine is a go-to for me in this neighborhood. I like the menu, I like the vibe. I wish the service was more attentive, but it meets the minimum and is usually very earnest and friendly.
I love this place, especiaaally when the weather is nice enough to sit outside.Burger one of the best anywhere, nice selection ofwine by the glass.
Very nice atmosphere for after work get togethers. Relaxed but elegant vibe.
Service was poor. Several people seemed to be helping us so getting one persons attention was difficult. Clearing of the table felt intrusive and awkward. Food was meh. And not inexpensive.
The servers were attentive, the food was flavorful and plentiful. I would definitely go back.
Our waiter Magnus and the hostess were amazing providing great service suggestions on food and drinks 🍷
The bar area was a bit loud for my taste but dining and outdoor space made up for a great time.
Food and cocktails were awesome, but the service was seriously lacking.
We made a last minute reservation for 6 at the The Vine because we had just thoroughly enjoyed a meal at neighboring L’Amico. We thought they were related. The service was extremely slow, even neglectful. The food was so-so. Stand outs were the appetizer sliders and fried chicken bao. Skip the octopus. It was tough and chewy. Quite different from the tender and delicious octopus at L’Amico.
Food was not very good. Basic.
