Very crowded and a quiet table was like sitting in Grand Central station. Felt like a cafeteria with the traffic and noise. Not recommended if you want to do a business breakfast.
Bad. Just all bad and not good.
We used to love coming to the Vine for their burger. It used to be extraordinary. The past two visits the burger has gone downhill. Even with our stating that the burger not be spicy they put jalapenos on it. The waitstaff is inattentive and lazy. They buzz around 'looking busy' while doing absolutely nothing. This visit I asked that the burger NOT come with barbecue sauce or jalapenos and they slathered it on anyway. It was too spicy to even eat. When we told the waiter his response was "well, I guess that is just how they do it now." He never even offered to fix the burger, remake it or anything. We had to insist that our burgers get remade. It took almost two hours from seating us until we got the second burger.
you needed at least 3 more people working, and I will definitely not be coming back
I like The Vine a lot- service can be slow, but they are gracious if you get their attention and the food is really good. A great place for a leisurely business lunch!
Great place to go before the Ranger game at MSG. A bit disappointed there was no happy hour menu for food or drinks.
We had ordered calamari as the appetizer. It never arrived. We asked twice more for it and it never arrived until after we were paying our bill. We asked the waiter to take it off the bill and he never did.
No need for booming music at dinner when the crowd noise is already so loud that your table service person can't even hear what you are ordering.
While the fireplace was a wonderful touch and the service was good the food was definitely not worth the money. The squash flatbread was barely warm and the shrimp I ordered for inclusion in the beet salad was over cooked.
Great food and service. The buffet breakfast was exceptional and well worth the price.
conveniently located, good food, pleasant environment.
We stayed in the Eventi Hotel, on our last day breakfast before we departed, was just easy to have there. It wound up being a great place! The service was attentive, the tables cozy and food delicious.
Great place to meet friends for a delicious bite to eat. Service was friendly and attentive. The sliders, club sandwich and burgers are delicious.
Chicken pot pie was good. Dessert not so good.
This is my go-to in the neighborhood! Always a friendly greeting and great food choices.
Very noisy. Could not hear my guest talk. Service was slow. Had to crane neck to hail down a waiter to order and to find our food after 20-minutes past from ordering.
Overall the restaurant looks nice but not worth the value in food/drinks and the service was okay. The hangar steak had no seasoning whatsoever but the burger was delicious so it’s hit and miss with the menu and the drinks are so expensive. We waited forever to get the bill and then it took another 20 minutes for him to bring back our credit card. We definitely won’t be coming back.
We ate outside, which was pleasant. The staff looked like like a deer in headlights. The food & service were okay. My wife sent her “sushi style” salmon back to be cooked throughout. It was an expensive but mediocre meal.
Good food, slow service, nice ambiance!
Great spot pre-MSG concert. It was crowded and vibrant, a good prelude to a very full Paul Simon show.
I stood in front of the hostess for an uncomfortably long time before she acknowledged I was there, and then when I asked for a table of four so my guest and I would have room for our laptops (working breakfast), she initially rebuffed my request as we were only two. I protested as the place was half empty, and she eventually acquiesced. After that everything was good. $21 for eggs, bacon, potatoes and toast is a bit steep, but overall it was fine.
The burger was one of the best I’ve ever had in New York City. There was a special flat bread last night that had spinach and garlic on it which was extraordinary
Best chopped salad topped w grill chicken I have ever eaten! Kudos!
The Vine never disappoints! Great food, great decor, and the service was outstanding.
WAY WAY WAY too dark during dinner service. Its not really a romantic spot b/c of the noise from the bar - Patrons should be able to read the menu without having to use flashlights from our phones.
Good spot. Service was excellent and the food is tasty. We enjoyed our night there.
Great food and the service that couldn't be beat! Interesting cocktail menu that many will enjoy.
The food was phenomenal, our waitress Keira was amazing and the manager kept checking with all the tables to make sure everything was going well! We ordered the calamari and hanger steak and both were absolutely delicious! The Banana Split Dessert was like a deconstructed Banana Split but was so good! I highly suggest if you're in Chelsea!!!
Overall it was good but service was slow and they made some mistakes with our orders.
Cocktails were great (although pricey, even for Manhattan), and the food was really good. This place has a nice vibe and is worth a try for anyone looking for another decent place in NoMad.
This place is great for the location considering it's right by MSG/Penn Station, but still classy. The service was not amazing this time around, however I've been here before when it was better. Could have been an off day for our server.
Food was great
The patio seating was excellent. We had a view into a semi-public space just west of 6 Avenue just inches from the wall of the restaurant which was open to the outside. The food was very good. So was the service. The prices were fair. Here’s the details:
Rose Esterelle, glass, 14
Sazarac, 16: Excellent, though I am still wondering if the price bump from the Poison Girl is equal to the difference in quality?
Charcuterie & cheese board, 19: Excellent, and a good value. All the items were delicious. The bread elements were see-through slices of crispy toast. This led to less bread consumed than you might with a similar item at another café.
TIP your meal can go fast if you allow it to
BONUS a variety of seating types – tables, bar seating, living room groupings – enable a variety of mood-setting
TIP cocktails pricier than most
TIP no happy hour
Don’t got for Brunch on special plans occasions
Service was not good, completely ignored at some points. Forgot to put our drink order in. Good thing it was a nice day and their back windows were open, so it was fine that it turned into a 2 hour lunch.
We were staying at hotel where The Vine is located for my son's wedding. Shay and the staff could not be more accommodating to our group. The buffet breakfast was fresh and they kept refilling the food ad it ran low. Nice selection of breakfast items. They gave us a private section and it was lovely. Would definitely recommend!
Service slow but food good
This restaurant is located in the Eventi Hotel. My friends and I were guests at the hotel, and chose this spot to share a late night snack. Two of us weren't hungry enough for dinner but were too hungry to make it to morning. We split a Turkey Club and WOW that was a HECK of a delicious sandwich! The fries were a winner, the ambience was great, and as a hotel guest, location can't be beat. :)
One thing that prevented a 5-star rating? Restaurant was half-full, waiter was inconsistent. Forgot to bring the lemons for water, forgot to bring my husband's drink altogether. We reminded him & he apologized and said "oh gosh I forgot." Get this - second time? He forgot again! Really? Different person (food runner) delivered the food, and we asked him to get our waiter for the drink. He didn't show up. Am I boring you? You get the idea - we got up got the super nice hostess and she got someone to bring us the drinks.
There was a mouse running on the floor...
Will not go back
