4 of us visited The Vine and felt that the food was good but unexciting; I had the eggplant parmesan and enjoyed it. We are from out of town and would not return but, if we lived in the area, we might go once in a while
This was a family get together. Aside from being very noisy, we had a lovely evening. Looking forward to returning the next time we are in Grants Pass.
Service was great, food was excellent!
We will return.
Wonderful food and excellent service. The gluten free options are truly outstanding!
We were looking for a good Italian restaurant to fill the void from all of the wonderful Italian restaurants we moved away from in Scottsdale Arizona. There are not many Italian options in Grants Pass. This was our first visit to the Vine. We will go back. Our benchmark is somewhat high so I will not add anything further to this review until we go back for another visit. I would like to add that our server was very friendly and personable.
We had friends in town and we used Open Table to make a 6:30pm reservation for 4. When we arrived, they said they didn't have my reservation but they quickly seated us. Not sure I was able to get my Open Table points though. Our guests had the sausage lasagna. They enjoyed their meal. We had the pot roast and the lemon shrimp capelini. Both were excellent. Wait staff competent and friendly and did not hover but we right there when we needed them to be.
Service was poor. My Salmon was salty. My daughter's chicken parmesean was over cooked and dry, son in laws steak was bland. The steak was cooked right but no flavor. My husband ordered spaghetti and meatballs, he thought it was just ok, nothing special. Our salads before the meal was lettuce with some shredded carrots on top.
It is an Italian Eatery. I was very surprised there were only 2 Italian wine choices and one was a sweeter wine. I would like to see more choices.
Fantastic service! Truly an amazing restaurant. Our wine glasses were never empty and the food was fantastic.
it was excellent. except for.my husband ordered calamari steak with pasta expecting a whole steak calamari. instead it was more like a soupy pasta dishe and he said he wouldn't have ordered it if he had known it was going to be like that. the waitress told him it was the steak but probably did not understand what he was asking. turned out it was chopped up and mixed in the pasta itself......
The best place in Grants Pass for gluten free options.
Everything was great; the food was outstanding. So good! Can't wait to go back next time I am in Grants Pass. The only issue was they never received our reservation from opentable, even though it was booked more than 2 weeks in advance AND I received a reminder email from open table. But they were still able to seat us right away, even with one of our party in a wheelchair.
The Vine exceeded our expectations for restaurants we assumed we would find in Grants Pass. The food was very, very good, the service excellent and the ambiance quiet and comfortable. My husband had a cocktail that he felt was quite good and I enjoyed a nice glass of wine.
Nice restaurant and the staff were amazing. However my eggplant was tough. I make this dish at home a lot. My husband ordered Rib eye and loved it. We had reservations yet we were sat at a tall table right next to the bar where the bartender was visiting with a patron noisily which made it difficult to talk with my husband. I dont know if we will return.
We had a lovely time! The staff was helpful and kind, the food was fresh and delicious, and our big group left well fed and content!
The meal was delicious and portions were generous. My wife had the chicken parmigiana and had enough to take home for lunch the next day. I had the chicken carbonara and would definitely order it again.
Our favorite Italian restaurant in Grants Pass. Atmosphere, food and wine remind of us of restaurants in Italy where we have dined. Even though, it is at the end of strip mall when you step into the restaurant you are stepping into Italy. Love this place.
Excellent homemade, organic food. Lots of gluten free options.
Outstanding value! Exceptional service! Delicious food! What more needs to be said? I highly recommend this restaurant. Gluten free friendly too :)
One of the top two restaurants in Grants Pass! Intimate dining, quiet, romantic. Very good menu choices. Mediterranean-themed. The spaghetti was outstanding. They offer a pasta of the day. All their foods are organic, most of the menu offers can be vegetarian or gluten-free. Had the pumpkin creme brulee which was divine. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful. Great value as well. I felt it was quite low-priced for the exceptional food.
Tried it for the first time for our 26th Wedding Anniversary. Really enjoyed everything from our waitress to our dessert. Food was wonderful and we will be back for just regular dining. While I was there someone came in just have the Mango Chicken with coconut rice, which sounded so good that I will be back to order it.
Was good food. Is very pretty inside. Joy, our server very attentive. We enjoyed.
We decided on The Vine for our wedding anniversary dinner. We were met at the door and seated promptly. Staff were courteous and attentive and our order was taken when we were ready. At no time did we feel that we were left waiting too long. Soup and salad arrived within ten minutes and we had our main course soon after. Food was well presented and tasty. I do feel that the plates had not been warmed beforehand, as the food got cold while eating. Overall a very pleasant experience and one that we look forward to repeating.
Worked out great for out of town family to start a birthday weekend just right. Food was excellent and service fantastic.
We dined at the Vine on two occasions on this trip to Grants Pass. Both dinners were fabulous and we really appreciated how quiet it was so that we could talk without interference. The wait staff is very amiable and the food was timed just right. We had the petit steak, chicken piccada, chicken marsala and the lasagna. Everything was prefect.
Great food and excellent service. Most important for our family they are sensitive to issues of
food sensitivities. We had aa wonderful experience. If we lived in the area this would be a regular restaurant for our family.
The staff were very friendly and efficient. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the meatballs were outstanding.
It took 15 minutes before our server was told we were at the table. Once she knew we were there the service was great. Food had to be send back as pasta was cold and the medium-rare steak was still mooing. They no longer have the prime rib and martini's special on Mondays and haven't for almost a year - very disappointing to have read on the internet that was their special only to find out they just hadn't update the site. We will not be returning to the Vine.
Food was excellent - they were extremely accommodating to my Gluten Free needs!
