Welcome to casual waterfront dining at its best. Yes, we have a stunning waterfront location overlooking the Currituck Sound, but our goal is to be a great restaurant that just happens to have a great view. From casual, familiar fare to elevated, creative originals, we offer something for everyone.     My brother is still talking about the snapper he had last night at VT&T! Scallops with mustard sauce are a 10/10, so good my dad licked his plate clean. We make this a yearly stop when we visit OBX. Look forward to checking out the Sound Bar next time a round.

    This restaurant is consistently good every time we dine here. Beautiful water views, excellent service and delicious food. We enjoyed the seafood chowder, shrimp & grits, wild boar meatloaf, and fish fry. Definitely order the key lime pie for dessert.

    This is our favorite OBX restaurant. Service is always excellent. We've *never* had a bad meal there, on-season or off... and the view is amazing. Set your reservation for an hour before sunset, and enjoy a pear martini.

    Great food and atmosphere. Staff was wonderful. Would recommend the steak, half chicken and key lime pie. Definitely check out the shop under the restaurant and the outdoor view.

    Our waitress was amazing. The sunset view over the sound is beautiful. The food is awful. I got Caesar Salad with chicken added. The romaine lettuce pieces were so large. It was hard to eat. The chicken tasted rubbery. My husband got Roasted Half Chicken. The flavor was not good. It was a half a chicken placed on top of mashed potatoes. Which made it hard to eat with all the bones in it. It was served with green beans with lemon herb compound butter never melted on the beans. We also got sweet tea, but I did not taste any sugar in it. It was a very disappointing meal. In fact we ate just a few bites, tipped our waiter well, because the food quality was not her fault, and then went to the grocery store and picked up some frozen dinners, which was much better than we had just ate! We won’t go back and would not recommend this place when there are so many better options in the area.

    This was our first time dining at VT&T, and we were pleasantly surprised. They were thoughtful to seat families with small children in areas where they weren’t going to disturb other diners, the food was good, fried green tomatoes were great, I’d pass on the hush puppies next time. One person had the scallops & said they were very good, my flank steak was great, my niece tried the meatloaf & enjoyed it. Key lime pie was our favorite, we’d definitely go back. Service was friendly and attentive.
