My wife and I have been to The Village Pub a few times now and every time it is a delight. The servers are super friendly and helpful, the food is absolutely delicious and appropriate sizes for a 3 course meal, and the ambiance is perfect for a comfortable, romantic evening for two (without being pretentious).

The prices are a bit expensive, but for the level of service and quality of food we have found it to be a great value. We spend $150-200 for the two of us, where a comparable dinner at other high end restaurants in the area would easily be $300-400.

Went here for late Valentine’s Day dinner with the significant other. Food was amazing! Price point was much better than expected and I really enjoyed the Michelin star quality without the meal being prix fix. Service was outstanding

Two of us had an excellent meal and the other two were mediocre. The corkage fee
of 50 dollars is well beyond anything on the peninsula. The wrong dishes were brought
to the table. All and all, the value isn't there. There are too many restaurants to choose
from in the area to pay these high prices and be disappointed.

service always impeccable. A special of Turbot was not exactly the best. But their specials are usually excellent like the Flannery rib eye Steak. Amuse buche's are very delicious and fun. Wine list is imcomparable.

The Village Pub has been our favorite restaurant for years and years. We have gone to the restaurant a hundred times. Our meals there have always focused on the best of fresh local ingredients, impeccable presentation, delicious flavors and a creative menu. This time was different. The food was nothing special and even sub average. The salad was served incompletely prepared, the goat cheese was left off! The soup was lukewarm! The dessert plate of cookies consisted of two supersized undercooked doughy cookies, like what you would get at Costco! One entree was a huge slab of hot goat cheese with cooked smoked salmon and mushy vegetables on top served with over-grilled dry bread. (The same bread that is served at the table, nothing special.) I mentioned to the waiter that I did not enjoy this entree and the manager took it off the bill immediately, which was professional. The normally fabulous VP fries were not prepared as in the past. They were thicker and unremarkable, not the usual long thin tasty frites! Our experience was so dissapointing that it makes me sad! I love the VP!! Please up your game Village Pub. We hate to watch your excellence and special fare become a thing of the past.

Nice atmosphere, excellent service. Great wine list. Seating a bit close and lined up in center of room. 3/6 dishes were superb (potato soup, scallop ceviche, sorbets). The other 3 (pasta, monkfish, ice cream) were good but not special.

We came for our one year anniversary - we thought they could at least offer some cheap glasses of champagne to celebrate for the expensive meal. We were also creeped out by our server and disappointed with his service. He would stare expressionless and also did not offer any specials for the evening. We heard another server at another table give specials that we would have ordered and also act warmly and invitingly to his guests.
