A contemporary sports bar with refined food and crafted cocktails.
A sleek, but casual space.
We love The Vig! Great for before any event at The Dunk, or shows a couple blocks away at PPAC. This was our second time visiting, and this time we brought the kids along for a pre-hockey dinner. They loved it, too! Sit in the bar area and enjoy watching the city go by outside through the full-glass wall! We'll be back!
Very good food for those who can eat gluten containing foods ! Need a gluten free menu so we could have more SAFE options for Celiac Disease patrons. CROSS CONTAMINATION risk is high so all I can order is salad and broiled fish or meat, but I will say that when I order these, they are well prepared, tasty, and the plate looks nice. Would like a few more options, however. Many restaurants do this safely and successfully so the dining experience is more interesting and fun for gluten free patrons 😊
Good, interesting food in a sports bar. Duck confit grilled cheese for one item. We also had a salad with chicken on top, burger and clam cakes and chowder. Bar and restaurant was packed so we were glad we had reservations.
Very good lunch prior to PC game
Yum! Yum! Yum!
Pretty quiet! Though I can see after an event how quickly it would fill up in there. Otherwise food was great and the service was great!
We went to the Vig for a Christmas family lunch since one of the members had to be at work very early. It was our first visit. I have to say from the moment we arrived to when we sat at our table to leaving service was amazing. Our waiter was so cheerful and professional as well as happy to be there serving us even on Christmas Day which was very refreshing as most will be miserable working the holiday that I’ve come to find. He made our afternoon being so amazing to us. We will definitely be back.
Great service and great food. Thank you for making our Christmas Eve so fun :)
Seated next to a loud obnoxious table of big mouths. Complained to the staff. It was unbearable.
Love the fig go before many of the PC basketball games at the Dunk
Great in r ery respect. Will go again for sure
Great service-- good burgers-- nice place to watch sports
Friendly server, lots of choices and food was great! We started with the homemade potato chips + ranch. For meals we had a beet salad w/ chicken, baked cod with clams & chorizo and duck confit grilled cheese. We all enjoyed it!
The service was great, the place is very nice. The food just didn't do it for us tonight. It was just okay. We ordered the vegetarian burger and it was mushy which was a disappointment. The apps and drinks were very good though. I'll be back - just next time for bar seating and drinks.
AMAZING! Every dish (starters, salads, main dish and desert) was a 10! The bar is extremely comfortable. Great place to get quality comfort food without having to go to a high end restaurant! I will be back and I highly recommend!!
The drinks and food were amazing- we will definitely be back!
I had the Filet it was over seasoned. Another party member had the ribeye also heavy on the seasoning. Everything else was good. Service was great
Good food, great service. Beautifull location. If your at the Hilton worth it. If your not, i think you could duo better. I don't believe you would be disappointed as i wasn't. But not good enough for a return. If your into trying new places this place is for you. If your looking for your next every Friday evening family restaurant this isn't it.
Was a good experience, this was our second time there. It wasn’t as good as the first time, but certainly a return trip is needed. Sinks a little over priced, the food we ate was average at best this time.
Super pre-theater diner! Really great food and service, kind of a fun view of the street life, and easy access to the show afterwards. Did I mention the great food and service? We'll be back soon!
Overall, it was a good experience. Service was good, and attentive. Felt a little rushed at times, especially when the restaurant wasn't overly busy. Food was tasty, steak I ordered had good flavor and portion size. Asked for it medium, and it was more on the medium rare side.
Had a really good time! Food and service were both amazing. Salmon dish with gnocchi’s was to die for.
Great food. Service was quick and professional.
Really enjoyed our dinner. Everything was delicious and the restaurant was really cute.
What a nice surprise. Food was great, service was spot on, and the place was filled with sports fans.
Great place for a post-game cocktail. We enjoyed some Up the Antes at the bar. Easy walk from the Dunkin Donuts Center.
Great place before or after an event at the Dunkin Donuts Center. Fun vibe.
First time here and very disappointed first off we walk in for our reservation a few minutes early the couple before us were asked do you have a reservation no ok and sat them then us we have a reservation oh sorry it’ll be a few minutes and we wait 20 minutes only to be sat in a table that was empty the whole time . The food was ok it seemed rushed .
This was about our 5th time there we go before the Friar games right next door to the Dunkin Center so it is wonderful location, food and service has always been great but in busy game nights have to leave more time for food to be delivered but worth the wait! Great manager and staff!!
My salmon was excellent, service was excellent. Manager came over to our table several times during a very busy evening. I would recommend this restaurant. great experience, didn't expect the food to be as great as it was.
Great dinner spot for before or after a Friars game! My husband and I ordered burgers (double cheeseburger for him, french onion burger for me) and they were delicious! I highly recommend the Up The Ante handcrafted cocktail for all of you tequila fans!
We went for Providence Restaurant Week, so we had three courses for $34.95. The food was absolutely delicious and portions were large. There weren’t any wildly unique crazy items on the menu, but they definitely nailed some of the basics by adding their unique twist. The restaurant was clean, the staff was attentive, and the atmosphere was very cool! I would definitely go again.
Been here 3 times now never dissapoints.
Went with the family after a Providence hoops game. Great Service and Great Food.
Food was great but a bit pricey. We went for the first night of restaurant week and the staff did not know there was a special menu. The manager came over to bring the menu and apologize.
This was after an event so it was very busy, but still, bartenders need to smile and be friendly to customers. Food was cold and not good. This is my third time here, gave the place one more chance, will not go back, not worth it, too bad, it's a nice space in a good location .
Don, the Manager, oversees a vibrant pre-game scene. Sharp environment and food was just right.
Great food. Excellent service ! The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Specialty cocktails were amazing! Loved my steak (and I'm picky). They were very sensitive to my gluten allergy and waitress was fantastic. I will definitely be back!
Had dinner for 5, including one child. Decent selection for kids, but kids plates kind of pricey ($10-$14 as I recall). Good cocktails. Not an extensive menu, several burgers to choose from that were tasty. Had calamari for appetizer, some of the smaller pieces were a bit overdone but it was good flavor.
Overall, a good pre-show meal. Easy walk to the Dunkin Donuts Center, and you can park at the hotel. For that reason, we will probably be back.
