   The cauliflower and Mac n cheese just hit, so delicious (it could use a little more chipotle aioli). Also have to say, the playlist was 10/10

   I chose The Vig to host two friends birthday celebrations. The ambience was nice, music a vibe. We were greeted by the manager and at first…things were good. Until it came time to place orders. First were the drink orders. Wait was roughly 4-6min for drinks to be brought out sometimes wait time almost exceeded 8 minutes. If it were noticeably busy, I’d get it. However it was pretty relaxed. Food was ok, I made a comment about simply wanting real chicken for the kid chicken tenders and the response I received was “well they aren’t gourmet.” Neither is raising canes chicken. But it’s at least REAL chicken. This comment was made by the manager mind you among other snide and condescending remarks while doing her best to “accommodate” us. Don’t think I’ll be returning after this experience. As a manager in the industry I strive to provide good service and when I tried to speak to our experience, it was clear our views were brushed off and a source of annoyance. The energy was just blah and we simply came in good spirits to have a nice dinner before our show.

   Kim is a magnificent waiter. Our appetizer’s and brunch was amazing! The musician performed a nice ensemble of songs. Easter at the Vig Fillmore might just be our new annual event!

   Despite not being very busy, our meals took longer then usual to come out. Presentation was good, but my main, NY Steak Frites, was cold and steak portion was very small. Fortunately, I didn’t mind. Fries were at least hot as I did order them on the side and extra crispy (could have been crispier though.) Husband’s Mac & Cheese was hot and steamy. Ordered flourless chocolate cake and the crème brûlée cheesecake for dessert. Both were excellent. Server was attentive.

   The food and ambience is amazing!! Highly recommend, get an appetizer if you’re really hungry services took a bit longer than expected but was fine over all with a cocktail lol!

   Loved it ALL except for the pigeons. Food was great, atmosphere was fabulous and service was superior.
