The View Restaurant & Bar
Our menu features a variety of fresh made cuisine including appetizers, salads, sandwiches, entrees and desserts. We strive to source our products from as many local suppliers as possible to support our community and provide the freshest ingredients possible.
Our menu changes seasonally and currently boasts items such as our Roasted Beet Salad, Seared Ahi Tuna Bites, the ever popular View Burger, and dinner entrees including Pan Roasted Salmon and Rib Eye Steak. Many of our desserts our made in house such as Creme Brulee or our Fruit Tart and we now proudly feature Berkey Creamery Ice Cream.
We attended the Easter Brunch yesterday. The food was Ok. Nothing special, certainly for $29/ person I expected much more. A large open, kinda loud conference room is not conducive to enjoying your family meal. The salad bar was nice, the fruit salad unfortunately was bad, all the fruit was hard and not ripe. The dessert table had bout 6 repeated options on an huge table. They were likely cut way earlier as some were dry. The rest of the food was fair, some good- most average. Next year, we will definitely go elsewhere, not repeatable. Was looking forward to a much better experience.
Love the remodeling that has been done. The salmon was delicious and my husband really like his burger. Pleasant surprise having live music. Outstanding views. Can't wait to use the deck when it warms up.
Service was excellent... Food was very good.... restaurant inside appearance more like a dinner , probably nice when they use the outside dining. Very loud but basically just one person at the bar area open to the restaurant... probably a club member who felt the need to drop the F bomb every 5 minutes with not one of the employees asking him to have a little respect for the rest of the restaurant clientele.
The service was good and the food was fine. There is no view in the spartan and temporary appearing dining room. The lounge appeared much nicer with windows, etc. However, the noise level in the lounge was ever so much greater than in the dining room. I think calling the dining room the View is a serious misnomer. The Wyndham is developing the hotel, so perhaps the dining room is temporary and sometime in the near future the View will be a MUCH NEEDED addition to the State College dining scene. If that is so, perhaps it would be advisable to tell diners change is coming.
This was a very tired restaurant. It was more of an upscale diner. I thought that, it being within a country club, it would be nicer. The menu was lackluster, offering the same type of food I could get in a diner, and the service was pleasant yet consuming as we were the only customer at 7pm on a Saturday evening. I do not recommend for the food, as it was plain and uninspired, nor for the ambiance,
