Once seated it was a great experience but we had to wait almost a half hour for our table.
Very nice facility. Was not wowed by the food (the Hotel Bethlehem has a much nicer brunch buffet) but the staff was attentive and the restaurant nice.
Decent menu and tasty food with most things reasonably priced. Special mixed drinks were overpriced though for the size. Nice dining area and awesome looking patio area - too bad it was winter so couldn't enjoy it. Looks like a great place to hangout. Enjoyed the guitarist playing but the amp was a bit loud. The waitress took quite a while though to bring our drinks -saw the sitting on the bar for a while and she was nowhere to be found.
It was great !
Overall everything was excellent except for only one thing the steak was not medium well it was well done.
Average food at best. Salty pork shank. Baby calamari very little. No taste.
We were a party of 7. We were seated right away,a little before our 7:30 reservation.
Even though it was dark out , the view is spectacular.
Our waitress was pleasant and personable.
The chille shrimp was crispy and delicious, not spicy. The slaw that was under it complemented it nicely.
Hot wings were also crispy and had the perfect heat.
Short ribs fell apart and very juicy.
The chicken noodle bowl was nice portion the chicken was good. The flavor a little disappointing It didn't have an Asian flavor, and the noodles tasted like linguine not rice noodles. That said it was still tasty and the poached egg was a nice touch.
Blood orange creme burlee had a great crunch.
Rice pudding was plentiful and very good.
The food came out at the perfect pace. The atmosphere very nice.
We would definitely come back.
While the food was mostly good, it is too pricey for the meager amounts received. Menu is also limited. People can come here for special occasions such as business or wedding events, but for regular dining I would not recommend it. In the summer, you can sit outside and have a nice view which is one of the few things otherwise going for it.
Pleasant and appetite appeasing ambience. Seating is best where a “full view” of the valley is available and unobstructed.
The service was the worst experience.
This was New Year’s Eve and they had a price fixed menu. nowhere on their website was there any mention of a price fixed menu when we made reservations. It was very cold in the restaurant. It appeared that we were not the only people surprise and disappointment while we were there three couples separately came in sat down got up and left without ordering
I was very unhappy with my dinner at the view on New Year’s Eve. I was not aware that there was going to be a select menu. And very pricey for the food that was offered. It was rather chilly in the dining room. When I made the reservation there was no mention of a pre select menu. Had it been mentioned I would have opted to go somewhere else.
Went to the holiday buffet. filet was outstanding. As was the salmon (they tell me). Good selection of breakfast items and desserts! Service was very good.
Very pleasant atmosphere, wonderful view of the golf course. excellent service.
Wonderful time - love this place - very friendly staff
Food was overcooked and bland. Only worthwhile if the outdoor seating is open.
It was our first time being there. Essentially it is a golf club with the restaurant perching on top. It provides a nice paranomic view. The food was decent. The service was just average. We liked it enough that we plan on returning there again.
We had a lovely dinner on the patio on a beautiful evening. Our service was outstanding and the food delicious. The live music was a plus (Naked Jake). We will definitely be back.
Chef went out of his way to serve us! Wait staff was also terrific manager was also happy to accommodate whatever you needed
After 2 visits, as I wanted to be fair, I must say that both the food and service are mediocre at best. Sometimes the service is poor. The only reason we came a second time was that the view outside on a warm summer evening is beautiful. In the future we will come only for a drink outside because of the lovely view. The appetizer of bacon-wrapped scallops was dried out. The entree of balsamic grilled chicken was tolerable, but I could have made something much better at home. Steak and lobster tail ok, not great. And the service---the sun was blindingly direct in in our eyes, and after being offered an unacceptable alternative (a bar table above the air-conditioner exhaust fans which were very noisy and blew the exhaust air on us), a server kindly suggested she would put up an umbrella to block the sun. We reminded servers of this twice, and it never happened, so eventually we just moved positions at the table. There were no salt and pepper shakers were on any of the tables outside. We asked for one, and were brought a tiny shaker with about an 1/8 inch salt. We shook what we could out of the shaker, and since our server was inside away from the dining area, chatting with other servers, I went inside to ask for a salt shaker that actually had salt in it. The server looked at the almost-empty shaker and asked what was wrong. I said the shaker needed to be filled. She said I must be someone "who really likes a lot of salt". She was pleasant but clueless. the one positive is that the white peach sangria is very good. Do not go here for the food.
Although the menu and bar selection is much improved, the table service remains terribly slow. Wait staff is disorganized and food / drink delivery takes way too long. Easily 45 minutes to and hour wait for your meal.
We held a family get together last Saturday and couldn't have been more pleased. Our waiter Nick was amazing and took care of our various needs with grace and humor and was attentive, but not annoying. Interesting menu with some delicious specials and vegetarian options that were great. Altogether a very satisfying evening. We' be been for brunch a couple of times which is also very good.
Really enjoyed the cowboy pork chops. The Myers Rum sauce was tasty. Love listening to wonderful music. Thanks, BC Combo. Excellent blues.
Had one of the best meals I had in quite sometime. Steak and Lobster done to perfection.
My husband and I had dinner on a Saturday evening out on the deck. Beautiful scenic views of the mountain and golf course. Unfortunately, that was where the nice atmosphere stopped. There was a birthday party downstairs and the music was so loud that you could feel the vibrations through the floor. To make it even worse, the restaurant continued playing their music loudly on top of it. It was a cacophony of Elton John mixed with basd thumping dance music throughout our dinner. Difficult to even have a conversation across the table.
As far as dinner, the wine was good and the calamari was decent. However, we ordered the prime rib sandwich which was completely well done and dried out. For the amount they charge, it was terrible.
We honestly couldn't wait for dinner to be finished and get out of there. Went elsewhere for drinks and conversation.
Love the view and may try again for a quick bite after a round of golf, but not for a date night dinner.
We decided to check out this restaurant after we heard from friends they renovated and expanded with a new deck and outside bar. We arrived early to really get the feel of the place and let me tell you it was well worth it. We would have never known about this hidden secret which is open to the public if our friends didn't tell us. We were greeted by a very nice young man at the entrance and offered us any table we wanted on the deck. As soon as you step onto this deck you are taken back by the view which fits for the name of the restaurant and has a feeling of being on vacation. We were greeted right away aby a cheerful young server who told us specials and new drinks on the menu. she made recommendations for apps and dinner. We went with them. The salmon was cooked to perfection and my wife had the balsamic chicken which was even better. We definitely had a wonderful time and really look forward to returning when we are back in the area visiting family.
We ordered off the Restaurant week menu. The appetizers, goat cheese croquettes, and pork belly mac & cheese, were good. However, our "rack of lamb", ordered medium-rare and medium, consisted of 3 dried-out, very well done small lamb chops. The waitress was very nice and apologetic, and asked the kitchen to make 2 more orders which they did correctly the second time. The lavender "cheesecake" dessert was disappointing, a small square of something that was Ok, but did not resemble cheesecake.
However, we had a nice time anyway, as we sat outside on a lovey summer evening and the view is amazing.
Always have a wonderful time at The View ... and with their expanded outdoor seating area, it's the best! :-)
We had a really good dinner at The View. We haven't been there for quite a while so we were pleased with the food, drinks and the expanded deck with the amazing views. The staff was also great and let us linger after dinner so we did not feel rushed.
The View never disappoints! What a great place to relax with a great view, good food, and a fun atmosphere.
Went for the first time. Ambience and views are incredible outside al fresco on the patio. Service was ok. Hostess left to prep our table and two others had come by saying someone would be with us shortly or offering to seat us again. Everyone seemed to be in a hurry. There was also a wedding this evening which might have left the restaurant short.
Ordered Ny strip which was incredibly over sauced and ran throughout the plate making the frittes mushy.
My watermelon mojitto was so muddled it was barely drinkable. Huge disappointment. Salmon was fine. The other drink we also ordered was fine as well.
Overall fairly casual for a country club. Which I didn't mind. But it suffers from a bit of an identity crisis
We had an excellent meal served by a knowing and efficient staff. We hadn't been there for a year or so, but we'll be back sooner next time.
My wife ordered the filet and found it very tough. I ordered the stuffed salmon. It was over-cooked. Also, the only vegetable was plain white rice. I think for the price, the chef could have been a little more imaginative. Fish should not be over-cooked, it loses the flavor, and becomes hard to chew.
This is our second time there. We had the same problem the last time: tough steak and gristly. We wanted to see if the food had improved. Still a problem.
The only thing this restaurant has going for it is it's view. They run out of wines and food items that are on their menu consistently and the food is mediocre at best.
They never have what I drink and I'm a regular there. We literally suck it up because the view is lovely and the alfresco dining is perfect in the summertime. But the management, service, and food are seriously lacking.
Great food good value in the server provided a great service
Need to pay attention to the computer system night we were there it took an hour to get food on the table
Can be a little noisy if the band is playing but we requested a table on the other side of the patio.
We came here for Father's day and my daughter's birthday. Everybody was so nice and the food was great!
Father's Day brunch
The night was great with a nice breeze and view. The food was great along with our waitress, Sydney. Will come back.
