Service is very bad. It took a long tike before we were able to order. Then I told the female server that its my cousin’s birthday and if we can have a candle on a dessert cake we will order. 30 mins later, they served us desserts with no candle.
We have to call several times to get drinks. The area is so dark, we can hardly see what we are eating.
The food is good pricey for the value. Very ordinary, calamari is so salty.
I wont recommend this place to anyone anytime soon.
Beautiful evening of great food, starry skies and that terrific view.
Very festive atmosphere with some birthdays being celebrated and our Caesar salads with grilled shrimp were crispy and delicious.
The View at Battery Park is a wonderful, if semi-hidden, restaurant with a great view of New York harbor and the Statue of Liberty. They have a spacious patio and have great food and service, and I understand they are getting heaters for their outdoor patio, so they can continue to use it even as it gets colder. They also have a great setup for indoor dining that they’ll be able to use when it becomes allowed on September 30.
Kudos to Masterpiece Caterers, who took over a deteriorating restaurant formerly known as Battery Gardens and made it into something NYC can be proud of.
I loved this place. The view was breathtaking. My significant other loved it! Social distancing was in effect. Waiters all wore gloves and masks. It was great. Their calamari was to die for! Will definitely revisit!
I recommend this restaurant for special occasions. River views are amazing, service great and drinks delicious. The food was yummy too.
We used to go to Battery Gardens Restaurant for the view, but then Masterpiece Caterers bought them out and created The View at Battery Park, which is even better. We’ve gone there almost every week since they’ve opened with only an outdoor grill as a kitchen, and they’ve kept improving ever since. They now have a full kitchen instead of a grill, and a large tent, which is good for shade as well as a few raindrops. Much better than eating on the street!
