Welcome to The Victoria Hotel, Woodend! We offer a friendly and generous service at The Victoria where we value your visit as much as we value sourcing and preparing quality food and drinks. We love local! The Victoria’s menus reflect our regional bias, and deliver delicious meals whatever your particular tastes or dietary requirements. Enjoy our double sided fire places or in the warmer months our dog friendly blue-stone courtyard!

The bistro menu features a staple of great steaks, parmas, schnitzel, burgers and a barramundi fish and chips. It’s monthly produce-driven specials, a list of eight to 10 house-made desserts, as well as a nutritious $10 menu for under-12s. Every day, we offer at least six vegetarian options and vegan dishes. Our wine lists boasting over 70% regional wines from our cool climate vineyards within the Macedon Ranges and surrounds.

    Always lovely crew at the Vic although it was pretty busy we waited a while for table service one of our party had to go get someone to take our orders. Food is always nice however not a very big menu and it doesn’t change much. Staff Very helpful with special requests and really went to a great effort to make us happy!! Thanks again.

    The Victoria in Woodend is at the end of a simple straight drive from Melbourne. The Bistro is wood panelled, has a cheery fire in winter and most welcoming. Be sure to book as it is always full of smiling customers. The menu is large and the choices are so extensive and interesting it is a challenge to settle on what to eat. My last 2 visits saw me have the home made Victoria pie with amazing batter and mash with vegetables that were actually cooked rather than usual pub fare of al dente. I enjoyed a Custard Eclaire for dessert and who counts calories anyway. Staff are great. Can't rate the Vic higher than 10/10.

    Fantastic service, great food and a beautiful choice of desserts. Even no alcohol gin and tonics! Beautiful ambience, so glad we found this place, it’s going to be a regular Friday night dinner after a long work week.

    First time diners and we were impressed. Cosy atmosphere with the open fire. Very attentive staff. Kids meal and entree came out fast. Mains came out fast. Espresso Martini was perfect. Kids enjoyed the clpu6ring in and the fish tank.

    Really lovely place. Very high exposed beam roof. Two opens fire places. Welcoming lounges in the bar. Great atmosphere. Our table was right next to one fire. Service was outstanding. Everyone loved their food (although what we already eyed off from the website menu was no longer due to a new menu!) Strangely, most notable was the noise level here. The place was full yet we had a lovely conversation and our kids, still a little rowdy, hardly affected the quiet relaxed atmosphere. Must be the acoustics?

    always a great meal, great service. Tried to order takeaway and spent 15 mins going around in circles. tried logging, different tablets, iphone, desktop. Site took me to vegan meals but no answer to problem, was it your site down, no internet etc. When I went in and spoke to staff, they said staff shortage we're unable to offer take away. I totally understand. Perhaps your site could say 'online ordering of takeaway unavailable (date), apologies blah blah'. It would've saved me 15 minutes wondering why I couldn't get through. A simple note to explain would've saved me time and stress and I would've understood and moved on. Just a suggestion.

    An absolute hidden gem. Being asked how we would like our high tea served (now, slow or after a drink was very warming. The staff and food are a delight and credit to the establishment. Planning our next visit already.

    Really enjoy eating at the Vic. Great pub food - no try hard fancy stuff with goats cheese and fennel or who knows what, just good hearty pub food with a great ambience and wood fire on a cool night. We will be back!
