What an outstanding restaurant ! Not located in a very popular place but so nice and surprising - the singers were good too
Such fun! Amazing and talented wait staff.
My wife and I came here for our anniversary. This was our 4th trip. We leave every time with a magical experience. The service is exceptional and the atmosphere is so special and unique.
My daughter took me out for a belated father’s day dinner so we wanted to do it up right, drinks, apps, wine, dinner, and dessert. Walking in is like stepping back in time with all the pictures on the wall. We arrived early they quickly sat us at our table and covered the rules about no recording or pictures of the wait staff / opera singers. Every 20 minutes they ring a bell and one of the singers steps up and explain what they are going to sing and lets fly. They were amazing. We started with cocktails, my daughter had the false gardener and I had a Manhattan. Both were well mixed and tasty. For appetizer we split the fried calamari, it was lightly battered and fried to perfection. We both went with the special that was rack of lamb. It was the whole rack and cooked med-rare and seasoned perfectly. Dessert we had cannolis and Crème Brule. I’m not a big fan of Brule but, this one was fantastic. The crust was thin the inside creamy, I could have eaten a whole one myself. Our waitress was attentive, knowledgeable and an awesome singer. Henry one of the owners came by our table and gave a history of the restaurant pointing out family members in the pictures on the wall.
The people are very nice, the food is great, and the atmosphere is special.
This is a great place a must go.
For those that love Italian food and Opera, this is the place, the waiters and waitresses will randomly break out singing an opera song after giving some historical background, very nice! Holds a personal meaning to me.
Absolutely loved this place. Don’t know why it’s not talked enough about or if people are trying to keep it a secret. The singers are all amazing and talented and the food is phenomenal.
Our first visit to Victor's proved to be a wonderful experience. The food more than matched our expectations. The service was most hospitable, friendly, and fun. The singing impressed everyone at our table of six. The noise level, although not quiet, did not interfere with the flow of conversation around our table. We appreciated the attention given when the serving staff entertained us with their gifted operatic voices.
A good time had by all.
We had an excellent overall experience at Victors. The food was delicious and and filling. The singers were amazing. We cannot wait to go back.
A true Philadelphia experience! The Victor remains my favorite restaurant. Friendly, efficient service, decent food, and Oh - that music!
Great Italian spot in south Philly! Sat outside for a Saturday date night and enjoyed the amazing and delicious Italian while listening to live opera music. Highly recommend!!
Great place to go with grandparents and my 5 year old daughter. Sat outside for an early dinner. Wasn't too hot and it was before the crowds. Food is great and they make a great kids pasta! Staff is so welcoming and kind, The Victor Café is NOT short on staff like most other places we visited. So glad we decided to try this wonderful place out!!
It was great as usual, food music, service, atmosphere. Thanks
We'll be back!
On this particular night the food wasn't the best part of the experience, but we also decided to order outside of our comfort zones. The service was slightly slow, but not a problem (more performances for us!) and the kitchen mistake was resolved painlessly.
We will be back!
Honestly the service was terrible and our waitress just acted like we were a big inconvenience even when she knocked over my glass of wine and then I had to request a replacement, was given a crappy house wine and they tried to charge me for it. They also messed up several of our orders and again tried tp charge. I would return though as the food was good and maybe the waitress was just having a bad night. Wish they would space out the opera singing a bit more like every 30 or 60 minutes. Felt like my meal kept getting interrupted. Not a place to go if you want to talk with friends you have not seen recently.
Food was excellent service was amazing and the singers were outstanding
The evening was fantastic! Great food and service!
The tortelloni, beet salad, faro salad and watermelon gazpacho were all great.
The singers sang well and enhanced the ambience.
The wait staff was somewhat distracted but compensated appropriately for the faux pas' which occurred.
The staff was so talented and great servers as well. We will be back !
We enjoyed the food a d the singing waiters
We had not been there in many years A great surprise
They have more than doubled the size
Very comfortable and spacious

Great food, cozy atmosphere and the most amazing voices!
This has become a top favorite for me. I have wanted to dine there for quite sometime now. The food was outstanding and the singing was spectacular. They are very talented. I will definitely go back.
Restaurant and service was amazing. What a fun experience! Can’t wait to go back
We were suprised to find out that our server was extremely vocally talented in her performance while she also kept an eye on what we needed for our table. The atmosphere was lovely and welcoming and the staff were kind, talented and attentive! My friend was very content and I loved they remembered that it was good birthday and brought out a bday dessert- he was smiling ear to ear the whole time-Thank you so much!
Have been going to Victor’s for 40+ years. And never a bad meal. Or a bad singer.
Food was delicious, our waiter Brenton was amazing and the staff has it ALL dialed in...
Highly recommend for a fun evening of great drinks, good food, wonderful entertainment all in an exceptionally pleasant, friendly and
The singing was fantastic entertainment. The room has so much positive energy. The food was outstanding. This is truly a gem
Awesome night! Service, staff, very very good food and the singing was over the top! Definitely going again and again.
Our dinner was a very pleasant experience. We sat outdoors. There was a light mist to keep us cool. Our waitress was very attentive. The food was excellent. And the opera singers came every twenty minutes to give us a performance.
Incredible food and incredible talent of servers.
We had a wonderful Anniversary dinner at The Victor Cafe! It is an adorable old school South Philly Italian place with excellent service and food. The staff are all professional Opera singers and each took a turn singing throughout our meal. It was amazing and we highly recommend it!
Wonderful experience! Great food, great service and beautiful, talented
voices. A wonderful introduction to opera for our 2 1/2 yr old grandson! “Bravo” was the word of the day by the end of our meal!!
The food was delicious. (Sweet potato tortellini for the win!)
The service was excellent. (Ryan was fantastic.)
The singing was incredible.
Can’t wait to go back!!
The Victor Cafe is my favorite restaurant, i come for the singing and love to introduce new friends to this place. This visit was great like usual, however i was slightly disappointed that they had a big plastic wall up between the singer and the people dining. It really took away from the experience and hope that they decide to remove that wall soon. The singer was singing mostly to the room that me and my date were not sitting in. They weren't able to walk around and sing to the tables of people which they normally did in the past...it really made no sense since they were were serving their tables without a mask.
Friends and family - a perfect reunion. Try the chocolate martini for an end of the evening treat!
My husband and I had our first date at The Victor Cafe 30 years ago and we have returned several times over the years. It is never a disappointment. Food is good, staff is friendly, and the ambiance is wonderful. The musical interludes every 20 minutes or so are always fantastic. We just came back with my son and daughter to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary and we had a wonderful evening.
We enjoyed the Victor Cafe….service was a little slow, but we were in no hurry and the food was very good. The opera singers were so talented! Our soft spoken waitress certainly surprised us with her strong operatic voice…. Amazing!
One thing I wasn’t crazy about was that the dipping bread came out wrapped in aluminum foil along with a not so good oil. Also, we were one of the first seated at 5:10 and had reservations for 3 wks, and we were seated against a half wall where the diners seated against wall could not view the singers…I think we could have been given a better table. Other than that we were all pleased with our meal and entertainment. Also, having valet parking was a big plus!
WE took our out of town friends to Victpr Cafe for dinner. It was absolutely pefect!
