Incredible experience. i will be brining everyone that visits me in Philly here. The singing was incredible, service was outstanding, and the food was next level good. Please make it a point to get yourself here and make sure you order the burrata and the sweet potato ravioli. So delicious.
Great Food, Friendly Staff. I'll be going back again.
Excellent meal! Excellent atmosphere Singers are amazing!
Family visiting - great place to eat outside and experience Philadelphia
Victors cafe was a very pleasant surprise; the welcoming host was extremely nice and informative as for what is going on with COVID in their establishment, as well we with entertainment and food.
They food is diverse and tasty (amazing in Philadelphian relativeness).
Wine map is rich! Most from Italy. Prices are Fair! Loved the wine.
The show they put each 20 minutes is super cute - and it is amazing to see that the employees are the artist as well! Great talking to them once they done singing :) I loved the experience. They know how to awake the emotions in you.
Over all lovely place, prices are fair, and the vibe is AMAZING.
See you soon, Cafe Victor
"The most romantic dinner I've ever had", My dates comments.
The weather was most accommodating for November, a beautiful warm and calm night with a full house occupying both sides of the street. The decor was fantastic as most of the block was lit up with hanging lights, table lamps, and heated with gas lamps. The opera from the balcony was amazing and the food matched the performances.
Just felt like getting out
We really enjoyed the Victor Cafe. Outdoor seating was comfortable and heated. Wine selection was very good. Apps and entrees excellent. The opera singers were great! Really added a lot to the experience. These ladies and gentlemen are very talented!
Food/service was good. Opera was AMAZING. Everyone was so talented and was a nice overall experience with everything else going on in the world!
Food and service was great. Due to covid we sat outside and the weather was not nice but nothing they can control. We just ate as fast as possible to get into a warm place.
Great atmosphere and experience. We loved the performances and outdoor dining setup. Food was good and drinks were ok. Would go again for a night with friends and entertainment.
A wonderful evening dining al fresco!
Food is always amazing and the wine list is exceptional. Always enjoy the opera singing. Appropriate Covid safety practices.
What a wonderful way to celebrate a birthday! Food and service were wonderful and ambiance is outstanding.
Everything about victor cafe is amazing. The food is top notch, the ambiance with the outdoor seating was great and the waiters/waitresses are phenomenal talents. Highly recommend dining here!!
I never thought this place could get any better but the outdoor dining is once in a lifetime for Philly.
We dined outside. Our waiter, steven, was excellent. I asked for a wine they did not have, but Steven was able to recommend a substitute that was superb. And he sang, 2 or 3 times. Something about seeing your waiter belting out an opera song, or musical song, just makes the night more memorable.
I wish I lived in Phili so I could have dinner here at least once a month if not more. Our group was from Michigan & Ohio and were looking for a nice dinner our last day in Pennsylvania. We drove almost two hours from Hershey, PA which was worth every minute of the drive. We enjoyed one of the best Italian dinners we've had (we have a lot of good Italian restaurants in Metro Detroit area). To our surprise, dinner was served outside on the both sides of the street with appropriate social distancing. The Edison bulb lights strung across the street and the red and white checkered table clothes added to the ambiance. The patio heaters kept us all comfortable. The service was exceptional. But the icing on the cake was the operatic performances from the wait staff sung from a second floor balcony about every 20 minutes. They were outstanding. You will enjoy this venue even if you've never heard Opera before. Each performance was only a few minutes (one song every 20 minutes), was not at all intrusive and everyone stopped their conversations to listen. All my guests commented on what a wonderful, memorable evening we had with delicious food (wine, and drinks)!
The food was excellent! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone
This was my first meal at Victor Cafe. There were six of us, my wife, my brother, his wife, my brother's son and his wife. We were seated outside. There was appropriate spacing between tables and all the servers wore masks. Everyone I saw put on masks coming into, going out from or standing up. The food was excellent. I have not had fried smelts in years and the ones served where lightly breaded and nicely fried. My lamb Bolognese was great -- the amount of meat was fine and the pasta was perfect. For desert I was served one of the best bread puddings I have ever had. It was large enough to share. The wine list is reasonably priced and our server was very helpful in find two perfect bottles for our table. Before I forget, the servers also sang opera and show tunes. The sang from a balcony far enough away that I thought we should all be safe -- great evening, good companionship, good food and singing what more could one want? I plan to return.
Dining al fresco in my beloved city. Dinner , Opera and our server Ryan made for a lovely evening under a full moon!!!!!
The food, service and music were outstanding!
Beautiful outdoor seating under the stars and lovely festive lighting, heaters to keep you cozy; great ambiance ! The food was delicious, service warm and attentive, and the singing was magnificent as always!
It was pretty awesome. The food was great. The outdoor dining had a nice ambiance. And the live opera singing was the best part. Really cool place.
Top 5 favorite restaurants in Philadelphia. Always an amazing time with amazing service.
It was a great time. The ambiance was perfect and the food was great. It was 6ft apart for everyone!
What a treat! I am not an opera guy at all, having received any and all of my opera expertise from Bugs Bunny cartoons, but I thoroughly enjoyed hearing our servers perform from the balcony! They took the time to explain the aria (a new word for me!), which helped put the performance in context. Oh, and the food! Everyone in our party was extremely happy with their meal. I had crab stuffed ravioli with some sort of bisque sauce on top, with a couple of shrimp to top it off, and it was the best! Desserts were fabulous as well. Taramisu and the chocolate lava cake were favorites, with the frozen lemon sorbet a close 3rd.
We have been here many times in the past, food is always good, atmosphere is great. Since the pandemic the outdoor seating is great & they still have the opera singers. Our disappointment was, I made a reservation via Open table & requested standard seating. ( since the indoor seating of 25% has been implemented, OT now gives a choice of standard or outdoor seating for each restaurant. ) Sadly, I requested indoor seating but upon arrival was told they are not doing indoor seating. Since we were not prepared to sit outside, this made for an uncomfortable dinner, since it was cold & we had no jackets. They did have heaters but we were not prepared to sit outside. I think this should be specified on OT.
My wife and I visited The Victor Cafe for our 2nd wedding anniversary. The service was fantastic, the experience is top notch, and overall we loved it. We will definitely be back and hope to bring back friends to enjoy!
Immaculate! The staff were super friendly and comforting. I've never eaten anywhere like this before. The food was something you'd never expect. Food is definitely worth the price. I'd recommend this place to family, friends, and especially lovers. All of the staff who sang sounded amazing. They didn't sing too long or too short. The food is filling, but not in a bloated/sickening way. Food came fast and fresh, and they also had outdoor heaters which covered every table! Authentic Italian served best! I cannot wait to go back!
Definitely recommend the shrimp and scallops, it was delicious! The crab stuff ravioli was yummy, but very rich. We really enjoyed the balcony performances!
Perfect. Experience was amazing with good food!
Victor Cafe is a Philadelphia gem. The food is very good and the menu has Italian favorites as well as some unique dishes. Service is by trained opera singers who also perform over the course of the evening. This, of course, sets the VC apart from anywhere else in the city. Interestingly, the servers are as excellent at fine dining service as they are performing. The wine list is also very good and priced consistent with the menu offerings. My only qualm is with some of the other diners who refused to just shut up for a few minutes while the extremely talented singers were performing. That is extremely disrespectful to other guests and to the performers themselves.
We went for our 5th anniversary. Our food was great, the singing was great, and the service was great.
As always the service, food and singers were fantastic. The outdoor setting was very nice.
