ottima colazione e ambiente divino
They did not have the Sunday Brunch buffet which is what we booked for. They made a change and did not advise those with reservations. We would have changed our plans had we known this.
We received 8 little pieces of potatoes as our side with our meal.
The music was a little loud for easy conversation. I have hearing issues which made some of the conversations hard for me to hear.
Otherwise we all enjoyed our time together around delicious food!
Service was amazing
First time staying at the Banff springs, this restaurant was beautiful, with beautiful views, great service and great food!
Delicious meal as always and wonderful service ! Can't wait for our next stay.
We really enjoyed our dinner at the Vermillion Room!
Beautiful French food. Go hungry - very filling. Very yummy
I had French onion soup and mussels which were good, my husband had potatoes dumplings that were mediocre. Staff were very good.
Breakfast - food was good but service was very slow and coffee Luke warm they did bring fresh hot coffee when asked.
Enjoyed the food and the friendly ness of the staff and helping when I made a mistake with debit machine.
Loved that we could enjoy a brunch buffet with safety precautions for Covid-19!
Very well spaced out for social distancing. With reservation I was surprised to be seated right at the door used to access the outside dining and people accessing smoking Very busy so took away from experience. Ambience was upscale and food was very very good. Surprised we had to ask for pepper and received packets instead of fresh ground. Maybe COVID related however.
Was impressed overall.
Birthday and travel
Fantastic service, very engaging and attentive colleagues at the restaurant.
Amazing experience. Hiero was one of the best waitresses I’ve ever had. Arigato!
The food was over cooked, and extremely over salted. We did send it back, and they offered us new food, it was also so salty it was hard to eat.
My husband and I managed to get a night away alone and I decided to book a nice dinner at the Banff Springs. THe experience was phenomenal, food was delicious and it was quiet and intimate enough for us to enjoy time alone. The only negative was the server, she seemed overwhelmed with other duties throughout our time there. But overall an excellent experience!
The food was very good but our server was very unimpressive. She told us repeatedly we couldn’t all order what we wanted because it would overwhelm the chef so we had to decide on a few dishes we had would all like instead. One of our dishes was unavailable and when we asked multiple times for it was finally told that it wasn’t available after waiting for it to come. She didn’t come to check on us very often and when we were ready to pay had to wait 10-15 minutes for her to come over to the table. Not what I’d expect from a fancy restaurant that charges $50 for brunch. Maybe we just had a bad server, everyone else was good and the food was good. She also showed visible disappointment in our tip to her. Not what I had expected.
The food was all very delicious and of course the view was second to none.
Wonderful meal with a great view of the mountains and courtyard. Oysters are amazing. Dessert is a must!
Everything was delicious and the service was excellent. My only complaint would be that the main course came out before we were done our appetizer.
Food was outstanding, great improvement
We were looking forward to our brunch booking at the Banff Springs, and our reservation through Open Table gave impression that brunch was still an option. We found out upon arrival that Buffet brunch is no longer served due to COViD. Additional disappointment on finding out there was no a la carte brunch either, and our 11:30 reservation meant only lunch menu available, as breakfast apparently ended at 11. No exceptions, even though we were celebrating parents’ 50th wedding anniversary, and there were hardly any other patrons in the restaurant. It was kind, however, of staff to offer a dessert to the couple ‘on the house’.
Food was great, more vegetarian option would be nice. David B our waiter was amazing!
The hotel was not very busy and they were glad to have us. the food was great and the service was friendly. Good job.
Excellent dining experience especially after 2 months of lockdown.
We felt safe, everything was clean, great friendly service and the food was very good.
Everything was terrific but it was busy and the kitchen was a bit slow..
Everything was perfect, the food is outstanding and the service even better. The servers we had went above and beyond to give my partner a memorable birthday dinner and we went straight back the next night as our experience was that good!
I love how the hotel and restaurant staff took the COVID precautions to heart. It made us feel very safe to see all of the hand sanitizer dispensers, see all of the staff wearing masks, and having our temperatures taken at the entry to the hotel. Keep up the good work!!
We’ve always found “Service” to be outstanding at the Banff Springs, and this visit was no exception. We were celebrating a family birthday, and they went “over and above” to make our evening special! The Hotel staff are very well-prepared for our new norms on cleanliness, and although they were all wearing masks, their smiles shone through! Perfect time to re-visit the Springs!
This place is great. Food is awesome and service is outstanding. I love it and recommend it to anyone that wants to experience great food.
This was our second visit and we won’t be back. We loved it the first time and arrived ahead of time for this years Brunch, we were seated in the furthest away room on a tiny table. There were two servers looking after our table but neither could really be bothered, drinks (juice and water) were rarely refilled and when they were, the waitress leaned across my food plate despite the fact that she could have easily approached from the opposite direction. The food wasn’t great and the temperature of the food left a lot to be desired. The cheese plates were right by the fridges which were filled with lovely cheeses yet the actual plates only had a small amount of blue cheese, cheddar and a lot of Brie/Camembert cheese but no crackers. Our reservation was a 12.30 and when we left people were still being offered brunch but very little was being replenished by the time we left around 2pm. We were left very underwhelmed and disappointed, we love brunch and have visited a lot of excellent brunches but this one was not worth the money for us this year.
Was disappointed that they didn’t have French toast or pancakes or hash browns available for brunch.
The perfection !!!
The food, the unique ambiance and the staff are at the beat :)
Overall everything was great but the server( Glenda) was rude because when I asked what kind of tea you have available, she starts laughing like I was telling her a joke. And she ruined my whole day and I couldn’t stop thinking about it, however I was nice and didn’t say anything.
Everything was cooked to perfection, lots of gourmet style foods.
Lighting was garish and harsh. Service was not what I would expect from a restaurant at this price level. Our server seemed inexperienced and returned to our table uncomfortably often. Food was nothing special. Had the Mignon and chilled crab legs. Underwhelming at best.
We arrived for lunch during a business conference at the hotel. Despite having made reservations over a month in advance, we were told we needed to wait in a line of over 40 people wanting a table, most of whom did not have a reservation and were sat ahead of us. Servers seemed totally overwhelmed and didn’t know details, like whether the soup today was cream based. Our server today was still lovely, but it didn’t make for a relaxing vibe. Our food order got mixed up, but they did correct it quickly. Overall it was good, but it just didn’t seem like the calibre I expect from a Fairmont property. Perhaps on a quieter day, it would be a better experience. That being said, it was during an official conference at the hotel where conference communications recommended Vermillion for lunch. I was surprised they weren’t better prepared.
